I think their would need to be more context of the situation to come to any kind of conclusion on this one.

I mean, I highly doubt they’re taking her baby simply because she smokes cannabis or whatever... if that was the case, then more than half the mothers in that corner of NSW would be having their kids taken from them.

IDK, it’s definitely possible this was an overreach of authority... but at the same time, for all we know, their might have been some very legitimate concerns about the mental health of the mother.

We just don’t know.

Regardless of the particulars of the case, why not wait to take the baby from this half naked woman until she had finished breastfeeding?

I personally know one person who had their baby taken because the mother smoked some dope. Because he got upset as they where trying to steal his kid they also called him aggressive and further used it against the parents. Thankfully a family member was able to eventually get the baby in this case.

About 60 children have been taken in the past month in South Australia, mostly with aboriginal decent.

Sure, sometimes there are genuine cases where children should be removed, and something should exist for those kids. However, my experience with CPS has been nearly as extreme on the opposite side.

To make a very, very long story short they took my daughter away. At that point you have no right to face your accusers, nor do you have the right to see any of the evidence. That is until after they've made their decision. Then you may go through an administrative review process, file a bunch of paperwork, and finally rifle through the case file.

Turned out there was nothing of substance whatsoever in their case. The investigator pretty much just wanted to remove my daughter. She ignored doctor reports, therapist reports, character witness retorts, etc. She ignored that the accusers had tons of motive to make false accusations.

She did however note that I had a shaved head and lived with my grandmother as though that somehow made me a deviant. She failed to note that my grandmother was very elderly and needed a live-in caretaker who could pick her up off the floor at 2am. Also, as if it should make a difference she didn't care to mention my head was shaved because I was in my early 20s and was already balding. At that age it's embarrassing, so I just took it all off.

I truly believe the only reason I won the administrative review process is because I contacted them every single day, and I was adamant that I'd take this case as far as I needed to whether that be Austin or as far as DC. My life only existed at that time to fight them.

It took nearly 2 years and lots of money and activism, but ultimately the case worker was investigated in house, was fired, and several of her cases were scrutinized. That's nearly 2 years of fighting. How many families were screwed? That was a small victory regarding one single case worker.

It was a time that made me truly understand how people can become radicalized. I don't agree with a radical mind, but I completely understand it.

It saddens me to learn Australia may be the same way.

It is Australia Day again.
Another year since the three Beaumont children Jane, Arrna and Grant were taken from Glenelg beach.
Another year since police were given more than enough incentive to dig for their remains at my father’s former property at Stansbury on the Yorke Peninsula.
Another year of my father Alan Maxwell McIntyre’s crimes against children being ignored by the government.
Another year where the identities of the paedo-criminals named in the Mullighan Inquiry have been suppressed and protected by the people whom we pay to represent us.
It’s time all of this was investigated.
There are already over 23 000 signatures on the petition to free the remains of the Beaumont children from the Stansbury sink hole.
It is worth reading the comments on the petition. Many have expressed their disgust, disbelief and dismay at the lack of action from SAPOL.
So many far less convincing cold case leads have been chased up over the years. Why not this one?
There are secrets that powerful people in this state are desperate to keep hidden.
More and more people are waking up to the corruption and the agenda of silencing witnesses.
Meanwhile many perpetrators like my father have died under a cloak of protection.
Jane, Arrna, Grant and the 600 ‘missing’ state wards identified in the Mullighan inquiry deserve better.
The children whom I saw murdered and dismembered deserve better.
ALL SA children deserve better.
EVERY South Australian deserves better.
Petitions have limited power – the one thing they DO achieve is that they add voices together.
Our voices need to roar.
Justice is coming.

I signed it, and recommend everyone else here does also.... please, every little bit we can do to help these poor children be laid to rest, and to spread awareness of these sickos, counts.

Unbelievable ! & yet I can't get a damn thing done in regards to the fact my child , who false DV claims & our unfit for purpose legal system seen me all but completely erased from her life, just missed 67 days/late 38/11 collected early of a possible 179 school days last year-grade 6. Not to mention this was a new school her Mum enrolled her in after original school started seeing through her victim-hood false reality she chooses to live in & insists our child must do also. The entire system was so quick to judge me regardless of naff all evidence & dodgy character of mother & egos prevent anyone involved from piping up with a " you know what perhaps we should look a bit deeper into Dad's claims on this one ". Yet a beautiful & special spirit has to journey through a childhood of fabrication, alienation & obviously confusion & loss. Yes the whole stinking Child services/Dept. Ed / Family Law web of back scratching institutions have a lot to answer for in this country.
But then with 90 year suppression orders on police docs. Senator Heffernen tried to get sorted that are full of the elites & decision makers , what fuc*ing hope is there really ?

A doctor accused of being part of a child-stealing network that helped mums abduct kids from their fathers has spoken outside court.

A NSW doctor accused of being part of a child-stealing network has defiantly called the charges against him “absolute nonsense” after being committed to stand trial.

Dr William Russell Massingham Pridgeon is one of seven people accused of being connected to a syndicate which allegedly helped mothers abduct their children they claimed were being sexually abused by their fathers.

In addition to charges of child stealing and conspiring to defeat justice, Mr O’Dea is also accused of contravening a restriction on the publication of court proceedings, using a carriage service to harass, menace or cause offence and unlawful stalking.

Ms Teffaha, from Advocate Me, had submitted one of the children allegedly taken by the syndicate had been “let down” by the police and judiciary and the court was “enabling” his abuse.

“In my view Ms Teffaha … (those comments) may be prejudicial to or diminish the public confidence in the administration of justice,” Magistrate Gett said.

“There may be a breach of your fundamental duty as a solicitor practising in the state of Queensland.”

Magistrate Gett ordered a transcript be forwarded to the Commission for further investigation.

Inquiry announced into 'very high' number of Victorian children going missing from state care

Victoria's Commissioner for Children has announced an investigation into why hundreds of children are going missing from the state's residential care system each year.

It follows an ABC report which revealed more than 600 children are reported missing from the state's care each year, with the vast majority of them going missing from residential care.

Some young people told the ABC they had felt safer sleeping on the streets of Melbourne, than they did in their residential care unit."It is no surprise that children are fleeing residential care when we have had report after report that shows that children who are placed in residential care continue to be exposed to abuse and further neglect," he said.

Reason Party MP Fiona Patten said children were being removed from their families because of abuse or serious risk of harm, but child protection workers were not considering whether children would be exposed to similar risks in residential care.
