Yes, I get that just because the media has tallied the votes for public consumption and now crowned Biden ''Elect'' does not mean that it is true. Esper though was thought to be fired in any event prior to the election so any reaction on his part because of the media count likely played no part in his termination. More likely was some of his own ''distancing'' from Trump earlier.

Why would Trump do this now?

Could have something to do with the way things are being done in Afghanistan.

Interesting that we get the news that Esper was fired over pushback on Afghanistan. Esper says that withdrawal from Afghanistan was "premature."

If Afghanistan was a person it would be damned near old enough to drink. What kind of maturity are we waiting for after 20 years?

Another one that probably would not defend him past the end.

Why would he? Esper wanted more war and Trump didn't.

Same # happened with Mattis.

The why of it all resides in one place i imagine.

That's would be between Trump's lugs.

The list of Trump administration dismissals and resignations is rather extensive.

Have to wonder if he still thinks he's on The Apprentice really, then again vascular dementias no joke.

Doesn't matter.

Less war is the goal here.

You would think eh?

But let's be realistic.

I don't know what age you are, but peace in our time has never really been on the cards.

Could be worse all the same, but consider arms sales to some very spurious nations are both our respective nation's bread and butter these days openly or via proxy, no matter whos in the Whitehouse.

Politics won't change that fact anytime soon.

Here is hoping all the same.
