This is just breaking so I have as yet no links.
Esper expected this and last week was preparing his resignation in anticipation that when Trump won re-election he would be fired.
www.dailymail.co.uk...

Why would Trump do this now? We know that Esper, one of Trump's ''best and brightest'' appointees had run afoul of Trump's opinions but why do it now? Just to be mean? I don't know. Anyone got an idea other than Trump still thinks he is going to win?

Opps, this just in

It's all part of the continued Deep State house cleaning before his second term starts.

Sounds like a President who's planning on staying around for awhile, doesn't it.

As I said a very long time ago right here, Trump should have fired every single federal attorneys the second he walked in the door. Just like sweet billy clinton did.

I am willing to bet 1000 republicans begged him to not.

Most Republicans are so much the ol boiling frog scenario. They loved their relationships and cushy jobs and had no idea for some reason that they were only kept from the chopping block as long as they went along to get along.

Total fools. I laugh.

Also on the chopping block if Trump wins reelection is FBI Director Christopher Wray and CIA Director Gina Haspel

Christopher Wray is also gonna get the chop. Probably for helping broker those shady Biden deals.

Gina Haspel is a CIA insider with a vested interest in doing all the things the CIA always does. Not much of a swamp drain with her.

Or sounds like a Narcissistic bully that unwilling to face reality and is going to take as many people down with him as possible before his hands are forced.

Because he has never displayed an personality traits like that before to give anyone the idea that he might be possible of that sort of behavior......

Defence Secretary fired ? ...business as usual then , not that it actually matters given he won't be President soon.

Reason I heard was working transition with Biden's team.

Not normally a problem, but officially, the election has yet to be decided, and Esper jumped the gun.

Yeah, well.

Serve at the pleasure of the President, and all that.

Cheers

Could have something to do with the way things are being done in Afghanistan.

You do understand there is far more going on than just your political sensibilities being offended right?

We have a war going on right now that the Administration has been trying to get out of, remember?

A Glenn Danzig fan would know all about a narcissist bully.
Just saying.

Sure... Trump knows he's going to win in the end.

And since he has his closest trusted in Military Intelligence looking into the cesspool that is the use of HAMMER/SCORECARD software to flip thousands of votes from Trump to Biden.

Buckle-up buttercup...

One dumb thing Esper done when troops where called to protect the Whitehouse with all the BLM riots, he ordered they not be armed or have their helmets. It gets deeper.

Sounds like an insane lunatic who thinks he can launch a military coup to avoid democracy.

Sounds like a president who's looking to employ The Insurrection Act against protestors when he pulls his dictator moves and refuses to acknowledge his election loss.

Mr. Esper’s downfall had been expected for months, after he took the rare step in June of disagreeing publicly with Mr. Trump and saying that active-duty military troops should not be sent to control the wave of protests in American cities. The president, who had threatened to use the Insurrection Act to do exactly that, was furious, officials said.

Mr. Esper’s spokesman tried at the time to walk back the damage, telling The New York Times that Mr. Trump did not want to use the Insurrection Act, either, or else he would have invoked it already. “We fail to see the disconnect,” said Jonathan Hoffman, a spokesman for Mr. Esper.

Sure... Trump knows he's going to win in the end.

His court actions in Georgia and Michigan have been dismissed , it's likely none of his actions will gain traction so regardless of what Trump "knows" the facts remain unchanged , he lost the election and will not be President after January 20th.

And if dismissed, then the case is brought to the court of appeals.

If the court of appeals does nothing with it then it goes to the SCOTUS.

But you knew that, right?
