Seriously you clipped em at twenty YO?
That has to be one of the most responsible things I've ever heard.
Good on you dude.

marriage never really entered into the equation in my relationship with my partner. either as a requirement, a certified symbol of commitment or any long-cherished ideal. we just didn't feel the need to marry. but i have no problems whatever with marriage itself or it's value to others. anyway 32 years later we're still together, unmarried.

I got some success stories from this clunker there was a time
when I could not ever see my self doing this. Makes me happy
after being so pathetic for so long. I might go for for a drive.
Come out of hiding. lol

TY, it was one of the few "responsible" lifestyle decisions I ever made. My mixture of existentialism and hedonism was mostly pure improvisational pleasure seeking; that's what touring as a professional musician is like and now that I'm in a different professional enterprise; those were the good ole days even though the drugs and alcohol took its toll.

And to actually address the theme of your thread...I was always attracted to women with large breasts that drove Porsches or 450SLs. However, I have to admit my first wife drove a Subaru.

Each to their own, seems a bit strange for an existentialist hedonist to be engaging in religious ceremonies, especially as most religion is about sacrifice and discipline.

I married one woman, had a child and we split 3 years in.
My next relationship lasted 37 years where we were considered companions. It was a relationship that I would compare against any legal marriage but I wouldn't do it again.
I'm 4 years single now and there is no woman I would marry ever again.
A marriage license is a legal document, nothing more. You go to the courthouse to get it and take it back to the courthouse to have it recorded.

No more marriages for me...

I enjoy being single in my senior years. Besides, I have my big fat Tom cat to heap lavish attention onto.

I certainly do find religious ceremonies a guilty aesthetic pleasure. In fact Im thinking of becoming a Catholic and taking the R.C.I.A. classes just so I can participate in the Mass and the holy Sacraments. Currently I have designed my own religion with it's own rituals, sacrifices and discipline. It centers around the the Virgin of Guadalupe but with a healthy portion of Temporality and Church of the SubGenius, praise Bob!! That strange enough for you? Perhaps this is just my reaction to being raised in a Texan Southern Baptist family where the simple act of dancing to the music, was a sin worthy of a good beating. Now that I think about it, my entire life was a reaction of being raised with a judgmental and punishing GOD, but where the adults enjoyed dishing out all the punishment.

You are more than welcome to attend any of our "services" if you ever want to try something "out of the ordinary" but you can continue your criticism as well if you want, in fact we encourage it.

Peace and Love

If there is someone you can't stop loving then you should not get married.

Unless it is her.

I've been married a few times and we are all still friends and lovers. Sometimes it gets complicated if you catch my drift.

Gross, dude.

I make no excuses or apologies for being a hedonist. It's just Rock and Roll and living that lifestyle, I had a vasectomy at 20 yrs of age, knowing kids and family life just didn't work for me. I hope everyone can find happiness in the path they choose to take. I also understand the resentments coming from others that have found the path they chose didn't quite work out like they planned; in fact they want to project their unhappiness on others.

You may be right about the projecting. I dont find men who are womanizers, or who won’t commit, attractive at all. And I’ve been cheated on, so that’s for sure in there.

I’m glad you found a way that works for you. Hopefully the women you’re with truly feel ok with your arrangements. 👍🏻

finding a good woman

YES! as far as I'm concerned you are the winner if this were a
contest. And I'm sure for the ladies it's quite simply the opposite. That
would be finding a good man. And there are plenty of them out there for
both sexes. If only society wasn't so hung up on superficial looks.

I look at the world and see a place where there must be more than
just one match for every one. This is defined by one thing most of all.
Our diversity. You are not the same as anyone else on earth that has ever
lived.

But with the same truth in mind. There are many that everyone of
us is compatible with. The notion that there is someone out there
meant for you and you have to find them is holding people back. Why?
Do you need to ask ? Because it makes you believe the search is like
finding a needle in a hay stack. To that I say WTF! Right Now! That #
ain't the truth.

It isn't true there is more than what was meant for you and you
only have to find one of them. So to everyone who is reading here
if you hung out with this thread long enough? Thru all it's misguided
notions who ever you are? If you haven't found love in this life my
God change everything you think you know in your mind. Throw
that person that didn't score away. Do it everyday til you come up
with a winner. Think of the most positive persona you can emulate
if you have to. While never forfeiting what is you. Above all remain
positive especially when you mess up. I promise you keep that up
and the right person is gonna see more in you than you see in yourself.

There are a ton of people out there for everyone of you. For God
sakes don't let society keep you apart. Because it is truly the
difference between lonliness and a lifetime of joy. I don't care
who you are what you look like. There are human beings in this
world even today in this society. That are capable of loving you.
And you don't want to miss that for anything. Unleash yourself
any way you have to. But find someone. It's worth it to the power
of infinity.

I know this is true because the heart ache I will endure to the end
as I write this. Is not even comparable to the joy I found in being
my Queens Knight and lover.

Marriage is an outdated and unnatural concept. Humans don't mate for life, never have done.

No doubt at one time I would have authored your philosophy. I
learned my lesson well. But I can't prescribe it to everyone either.
But I will say marriage is so much more than what you say.
Make no mistake that if two put their marriage first above
everything in life. Then there is joy in everything. Because it
takes love to do that. And love doesn't fail ever.

I’m not criticising, just intrigued as to how those traits and philosophies manage to merge.

I’ll try anything once, let me know where and when I can undergo my initiation.

no initiation, you seem ok. However you will be required to purchase a Chemical Brain nanobot as a precaution against the chiner flu virus to attend the ritual, no mask allowed, clothing optional.

We are very informal and meet when Jupiter aligns with mars. I'm not sure when that will occur next but u2u with some way to notify you.

Often we can meet up at one of these events, if you like. May I ask if you're male, female or you know like ....I don't even know how to ask this question...nevermind.

Bat# crazy satire is the best kind. It's an acquired taste...but tends to be toxic to bootlickers.
