Did you miss the part about a giant fight breaking out over this guy's behavior?
I think everybody missed it because all you said was people were yelling about it.
He also didn't seem to care when I told him to go away and leave me alone,
That’s new.
My bartender can handle the ass-woopins.
Your story indicates otherwise, especially with your most recent additions to the original story.

Read my latest reply and understand the situation. He wouldn't get off me. In order to get the bartender, he needed to be removed - so I removed him.

I'm in a clearer state of mind now, and if anyone has any questions about what happened, go ahead and ask. I realize I didn't give all the details last night because my anxiety had my hands shaking and my mind cluttered. But I'm past that now, so if anyone wants any extra details or clarifying information, ask away.

You got skepticism coming at you in spades for a reason. You wrote yourself as a Samurai Susan with your chest all puffed out and not saying a word before going for the metal to brandish. You wrote it, it's your words.
Then you left it exactly as you wrote it to fester away for almost 18 hours. Because that's not suspicious at all when making this kind of claim.
Like a s# writer, you left massive plotholes the size of Alaska that just plain don't add up, for people to pick up on, and now you're getting pissy because they were pointed out and people don't believe you? Like very late addendums to CYA are going to help any.
IMO, nothing went down as you claim, if at all. If this was a thought experiment, you failed. If it's an outright lie, you're a very questionable person scraping bottom.

Maybe you shouldn't go to bars on a Friday night to be left alone to concentrate, especially since your anxiety it through the roof already.

You shouldn't pull a knife at that point, a good swift kick to his balls would have been much better, but then make sure you get the knife open in case he decided to come after you. I have seen events like that, but usually a guy at the event would step in and get a guy like that away from the women he was offending when I was young. My question is why are good guys not protecting the women anymore?
I have personally stopped events like that numerous times in the past. More than twenty times but less than fifty when I was young. When a guy stands up, other guys then help that guy to get the person away from causing harm.

Oh... also, I don't know how relevant this is, but the guy ended up coming back briefly. After my bartender led him away, he wandered back to the porch a few minutes later and kept trying to apologize to me.
I told him it's fine, we're good, just go home and sleep it off. I must've said that like ten times because he hardly understood basic English at this point. Afterward, he wandered up the hill toward the apartments and stayed gone for the night.
Happy ending... I guess?

Exactly, any normal bloke would have punched his lights out at this point, which would have been assault. She merely pointed and said words, and yet the man-boobs on this site find this unacceptable and start insults.

Yup. And we both know they'd be howling like banshees if it were their girlfriend or mother or sister it happened to. But somehow when a woman is put in a vulnerable and dangerous position by a sex offender, she's in the wrong for protecting herself. I don't know what some people are thinking, but that can behavior escalates quickly and dangerously. Just like it did. He didn't even back off when she did act in her own defense, but became even more aggressive. As if he had some right to enjoy her body. Ugh. Just so freaking creepy.
She did the right thing. It could have been so much worse.
I hope she comes back. She sure didn't need or deserve this crap on ATS. The abuse at the bar wasn't enough. Nope. The misogynists here had to pile on.
Good job, dudes
The guy is a sex offender now...like really. For crying out loud enough already. Why is this woman in a bar and drawing knives on people, why the # are you defending such reckless behavior.
Actually, this only happened to me after he tried to feel up on the other girls in the bar and got reprimanded for it. Did you miss the part about a giant fight breaking out over this guy's behavior? He was putting his hands on girls all night. He also didn't seem to care when I told him to go away and leave me alone, and he was trying to pick a fight with the other girls' father, too.
You can call it reckless, but he deserved it. Quite honestly, he was harassing everyone in the place and he deserves worse, but believe it or not, I'm not that violent a soul. My bartender can handle the ass-woopins.
Yes, it's very relevant.
You made out that you hated this guy, you were really upset and finished your post with "I really hate people sometimes... "
Yet, in reality it was left as, "it's fine, we're good"
Now i'm not saying this incident didn't happen and you weren't upset at it, but it seems to me that, at the very least, you have used quite a bit of creative licence in your original post.
Sorry, but don't see how it can be viewed any other way...
No, not for the people that have been discussing back and forth here all day in your absence and missing how the situation actually finished....

Can you explain to me why the bar staff didn't handle this violent sex offender and left him to freely molest women in the establishment?

Does that mean I should be happy about the events that transpired beforehand?
Well, forgive me for not living my entire life on the ATS forums.

There's always 3 sides to a story.
In this case, i) the OP's side, ii) the guy and iii) the truth.
