Fingers crossed here is a euphemism used to veil the poster's meaning in that hoping, the president is implicated in the shooting.

Why are we pretending we don't know what that comment meant? Why ease the neurosis of knowing what the comment meant by asking for clarification?

If you're triggered or angered or feel some type of way about it, why pussy-foot and do mental gymnastics around it?

Nah, I don't need a trophy (Aug would notice if one disappeared, you know what happened to the last denizen that stole one of those, right?) It does pay off to not jump to conclusions every single time someone posts, though. Even some of our more...how to put it without crossing T & C lines...sketchier posters with lengthy histories here, possess the capacity to not wish harm on others, so this post wasn't a stretch for me.
