President Obama, went in April, his first year in office, trump has been in, almost 2 years. How many opportunities, did trump pass on, to honor our troops, just last Veteran's day. He did not even visit Arlington. Not a word about Pearl Harbor.

FYI, what they're talking about when they say we didn't get a raise is that we didn't get a budgeted raise. We're mandated to get a 1% raise every year by law. To give us less than 1%, they would literally have to pass a law saying we get less than 1% this year. Most of the years of Obama's presidency, we either got 1% or just over that, like 1.3%, 1.6% or some other joke like that. Effectively, Congress and the president authorized us a 0.3% and 0.6% raise in those years, respectively. So while it's technically incorrect to say we didn't get raises at all, we got jack #. And yeah, I'm well aware there are folks around the country who got less, but that's not really the point here.

Let's abide by Iraqi leaders wishes, and bring our sons and daughters home...ASAP!

You are correct Sir/Ms. I saw Trump say it in his speech and saw a source somewhere that said so, but they did receive raises these past 10 years, however mennial.

He could have thought he was telling the truth. Maybe he told the Defense Dept. or whoever during a meeting he talked about having to give them 10 percent or more and they just didn't follow orders.

Since Trump did stand in front of the troops and plainly say he gave them a 10 percent raise, he needs to absolutely do it. 10 percent..no less!

That's what they called it when Obama lied.

It's called hyperbole. Instead of saying you got #ty raises the last 10 years, he says you got "no" raises. It's like saying you did something 1000 times when you really only did it a few dozen. Everyone knows it's hyperbole. They've been covering Trump for 3 years now and they still can't get it right.

As for who didn't give us the raise, the President has no direct authority over that. The Pentagon doesn't give us raises, Congress does. The President's say is limited to the negotiations while the spending bill is drafted that contains our pay, and possible veto of the bill if he doesn't like what's in it. It could've been 1% and he asked them to make it 5% and they made it 2.6% to meet in the middle, we don't know. "I wanted you to get 10%" is just more hyperbole and everyone with a brain knows it, including most of the military people he was talking to. Despite leftist propaganda, the military isn't full of morons.

There was a SEAL Chaplain that was there, which is where the "Well if he's a SEAL, he wouldn't be there without his Team, so obviously everyone else there is a SEAL" came from. But that's a hell of a leap to make without even trying to fact check.
