Are you referring to the Kavanaugh/Ford thing?

If you are, I'd say the difference is that here you can clearly see him haul off and kick her for nothing more egregious than verbally disagreeing with him.

If there was a video of Kavanaugh doing to Ford what she claimed he had done, then I can bet that people wouldn't be responding well to him either.

But there is no video, only a 30+-year-old story told by someone who can't even keep the details in her story straight from telling to telling.

So what is there for people here to react to?

Ah, OK, that makes sense insofar that facebook accounts can contain personal info if the account settings reflect such information, so it may have been that FB component that go it 404'd? Maybe...

When I say I'd intervene, I don't mean I'm just gonna beat up on the guy. I would just grab a hold of him and try to regulate the situation. But if he swung on me, all bets are off.
