I am kind of surprised, that the FBI just didn’t let the anwar brothers handle the server.

I think Crowdstrike was tasked with that job .

they are highly trained in handling classified material, I know I was when I was in the military considering it was part of my job, there is a specific protocol involved in carrying classified material

it's followed to the T, meaning the hand they tell you to put it in, the folded facing the direction they tell you to face it in, carried on a specific path to each office I mean it's a serious protocol

More importantly though, broken chain of custody means that anything they found that should have been prosecuted can now absolutely not be....

A chain of custody "failure" is an extremely convenient and CHEAP way to null out potential evidence against you!

Literally all it takes is for some documentation to be "lost" and you have just defused the potential bomb!

The servers were never lost!

This was a smokescreen.

Holy F*** this is bad and it cannot be allowed to stand because it makes the total and complete lack of further arrests wrt Weiners laptop click into place.... And it's an ugly picture.

Depending on dates and etc, they could have just defanged ALL the evidence against EVERYONE!

This "5 week lapse in chain of custody" could literally be argued to insinuate that this was a vector for all sorts of mischief and "evidence planting"...

Literally by shredding one evidence log and dumping the shred in the locking iron mountain burn bins every single erg of evidence could be argued as invalid.

That should be triggering some nasty thoughts in everyone's heads at this point.

And nobody Better even dare say that someone couldn't do that to the FBI because the Church of Scientology successfully infiltrated them too back in the day!

Sounds like a deliberate "loss of custody' to me because now the case wont go to court. Be divaulging this information they have just deliberately sabotaged their own prosecution case.

Fancy a prosecuting agency handing informaton to Hillarys defence team which they can use against the prosecutions case in court.

In law; if the prosecution cannot show an unbroken chain of custody then they have standing in court which equals no case, which equals no prosecution.

Given the bias and hatred of trump we see the head of the fbi exhibit and all of the other double standards they employed to help Hillary and hurt trump, I think we have a pretty good idea which one it is.

I took a few classes on electronic evidence gathering and chain of custody, it is even more stringently controlled than what is required for normal physical evidence since it is so easy to alter/erase the data.

To such a degree that there literally is no way this could be an "accident", this should have triggered an IG investigation unless it just got leaked in which case an IG investigation should be started.
