So, you missed the part about other commercial websites?

You almost made me miss my nightly wine/cigarette break. I'll be back.

I'm back! After that slug of Burgundy chased with a Newport, I'm feeling extra generous, Phage.

So that you will be able to sleep well tonight without worrying about my bank account, I'll go edit the offending post by removing the labs Universal Resource Locator.

Meanwhile, sorry OP. Really. I have nothing to offer.
Maybe the president does.

I gave DianeJune the solution, near the bottom of page #1. She'll be fine.

Yes and I have read how Canadians are having surgery in different countrys because they have to wait years for surgery, and if I am not mistaken your president said they couldn't afford all the immigrants,so so much for your socialist agenda

In my country there is the so called 'solidarity principle' which makes sure that universal health care stays universal, in a national sense ofcourse. This is the only way to have health care at a reasonable price. You want as many healthy people in the pool so that the overal costs of the provided care stays as low as possible to the induvidual.
Health care is not and should not be a cash-cow for any party involved. It's the governments job to unite the demand side so they can get the best deal from the supply side.
Sure profits are being made on the supply side but when the government does its job and represents the people this should not make it unaffordable, if one party overcharges for its goods and services or doesnt deliver in quality or quantity, the government will just go to another party next negotiation round. These are the best of both worlds, collective socialism and free market working both to provide the best care for all. Sure, nothing is perfect and there are many thing that could use improvement but if the intention is there and the foundations are solid nothing stands in the way of universal health care.

Now I'm not pretending I know anything about US health care, but it seems to me that the government is not doing all it can to unite the people of the US in their demand for healthcare.

Fly to Britain.

Walk into an A&E centre and tell them you're feeling a bit funny. Explain where the pain is and let them test you.

If can stay long enough they may treat you. Though the waiting list is sometimes a tad ridiculous. If you don't use the A&E I think they can still charge you.

Very sorry for your stressful situation.

I have no complaints about Medicare. Both my husband and I began receiving information and booklets about a year before we qualified. And AARP sent lots of information about Medicare and supplements also.

I started drinking concentrated vegetable and fruit drinks, along with a daily capful of Isagenix cleanse every morning, back in 2004. Powdered organic vegetables/fruits are easy to digest and build up your immune system. No cold, flu, etc, since.

With me, a small amount of fresh veggies does wonders, too much causes me problems. But I can eat quite a bit of most veggies if they are cooked pretty well. So I make a lot of soup and the minerals go into the broth. The plant defense chemicals in most foods are not heat stable, ten minutes of boiling will denature them and make them harmless. Some, like in the potato are heat stable, but potato defense chemistry does not seem to bother me healthwise much. Probably because we have been eating potatoes for many generations. I can't eat many tomatoes though, even cooked. I like them but they cause some hives on my forehead and will mess up my intestines if I eat too much.

It took me over a year of testing just to figure out I am allergic to the banana if I eat it with potatoes or tomatoes in the same day or two. I do get a cross reaction with other veggies and banana too, mostly root veggies. So I gave up bananas. The banana defense system chemicals are not heat stable, I can eat banana bread no problem.

It is uncomprehensible that it can take so much observation to find out about one food cross reaction. With the banana, I get allergic to my underware and socks latex bands. something gets released in my sweat or something. Also the banana makes me cough when I am almost finished with eating it, the riper the banana the worse it is. If I eat three bananas it starts to effect my breathing. I can't seem to get enough air.
