Hey didn't Bush shut the heck up Pakistan after the invasion of Afghanistan when he told them that it was going to bomb the hell out of them to the stone age?

Well I hope Trump tells the same to Iran, I will bomb the hell out of you until you are back to the stone age.

That out to work.

I agree. They still have economic sanctions place by the USA and the UK they are waiting on being lifted. They still need to allow access for inspection of their nuclear facilities. Iran won't risk this but still needs to maintain face in the region.
Interesting situation but I wouldn't start thinking war with Iran just yet.

I think its time the US take a pre-emptive stance on Iran. If it is indeed inevitable perhaps the us military should start prepping for a massive invasion on the scale of WW2 size and for the first 30 days to conduct a scorched earth operation.

As long as we have Russia and NATOs support or at least convince them its inevitable. Iran will have no chance of survival. Destroy and annihilate Iran and leave them smoldering in rubble with no aid to rebuild as punishement for being a thorn in the worlds side.

I believe any of the actions listed below could be considered a threat to Iran's security. It's apparent to me from the following article that there are too many unknowns right now to be able to say much of anything with certainty.

What form will Trump’s anticipated anti-Iran drive take? It could involve more sweeping banking and financial sanctions, increased arms sales and overt military support for regional allies, a heightened US naval presence in the Gulf, or more special forces covert operations like that which went disastrously wrong in Yemen last week. Trump may also seek to make the Iran travel ban permanent.

The amount of forum users here that are obviously heavy drug users or heavily medicated in some way is becoming more and more blatant.

Iran stated if anyone attacks then they will attack back.

That is all they have said.

That seems fair enough to me.

Anyone who wished for the death of millions and the destruction of innocent people's lives and country as you do.....needs serious psychological assessment at the minimum and one hopes a lifetime of being locked away from society.

Disgusting.

The U.S. and UK both maintain sanctions that were placed in the 90s and some as far back as 1979 Carter administration.
Some were lifted. I remember buying a hugh shipment of Persian rugs that had been held in embargo at JFK for four years. In 2000 I bought 650 rugs for $200.00 each. If you don't know these rugs they usually range in price from $600.00 for 5x7 and upward of $4000.00 for 9x12. But because these were already here and the original buyer had abandoned the shipment back in 96 when the embargo was placed I got the deal of a lifetime. I paid the customs fees and taxes and the shipping fees to get the rugs to Virginia.
Anyway I digress.....not all the sanctions that were placed since Carter was president have been lifted. Iran wants this to happen.

That sound you can hear is the sound of Israeli Fast Jets and Main Battle Tanks warming their engines. The Israelis will not stand for this level of threat from a nation that has openly declared their antipathy towards them, and I don't blame them.

Israel won't do jack crap about this because they are the ones pushing for America to fight Iran. The command staff already told Benny they cannot handle Iran by their lonesome.

So Iran is going to throw a hissy fit spurred by a tweet in twit world.

Says more about them than the president you are trying to blame it all on.

Iran needs to grow up.. and be accountable for their choices and actions!

They have said and done so much more than what you're suggesting. Please read the quote below.

Iran has angrily dismissed Trump as inexperienced and dangerous. Iran’s Revolutionary Guards said military units would conduct missile exercises on Saturday to demonstrate their “complete preparedness to deal with threats [and] humiliating sanctions”.

Their actions mentioned in the following articles are no small matters either.

There are things in the U.S. / Israeli arsenals that can and will end any conflict in seconds and are of a non-nuclear nature.
The world has no idea.

Iran has always said if attacked it will strike back. History proves this to be true because they haven't started a war in centuries.

The general who made the comment was literally at a massive military drill when he said it. The majority of the Iranian article is focused on the self reliance of Iran's defense industry, with it also talking about other military drills & different areas of their defense industry.

So many people here claim that MSM isn't reliable & that it pushes their own agenda. I agree w/that logic, so I went as close to the source as I could in order to find out the context. And unsurprisingly, the context is quite different from the narrative that's being pushed by the MSM.

As for the sanctions and other moves against Iran, that site and other sites from the region have non-"Doom porn" responses to them too. For example, here's an article from earlier today w/quotes from Iran's First Vice-President Eshaq Jahangiri ("First Vice-President" is the position's title):

First Vice-President Eshaq Jahangiri says the Iranian people and the officials of the country do not care in the least for threadbare remarks made by the Americans.

If they talk to Iran with a language of respect and try to solve the questions through dialogue, all can be the winners, Jahangiri said at a local ceremony here on Saturday.

By voicing anti-Iran slogans, they want to decelerate the process of development in the country, the senior official noted, adding Iran does not care in the least for those remarks.

The domestic and foreign investors well know that Iran has good development plans, he stressed.

Iranians not care for US threadbare remarks: First VP

Now guess which things got reported on and which things were ignored by our MSM? And why would the West want to decelerate the process of development if Iran?

The quote I gave you was just a list of the possibilities. I don't how you could label any of that "doom porn." You just lost all credibility with me on this issue, and I won't be replying to your further posts in this thread. Listing the possibilities is not "doom porn." It's a realistic analysis which is the opposite of "doom porn."

I wasn't attacking you, but whatever. The OP reads like an obvious list of doom porn and so does the notion that those actions "could be considered a threat to Iran's security" by Iran. That's exactly why I posted a link from today where their First Vice President said Iran didn't care about this stuff.

USS Cole is enroute to Yemen and Trump reinstates sanctions upon Iran.

The Cole!

Sure hope that isn't a bad omen.
