Trump got the dossier. Trump was told that there was unsubstantiated potentially compromising information in the dossier. The dossier was not assembled by US Intel and his been "out there" since August.

So, what are you trying to tell me. Trump never knew about the dossier. US Intel never briefed him on the contents of the dossier, or he didn't know about the "golden showers" sex party story?

The "golden shower sex party" story, true or not, is out there now. There's no turning back now!

You said Trump lied and referenced a news story saying as much.
Trump, in fact, was clear in his press conference that he received the information outside the intelligence briefing - clearly shown by the video of him actually speaking on Weds.

The article was fake news, plain and simple. You propagated it.
Better to make sure you don't fall for it in the future as opposed to linking another story that does not address the fact that Trump already said he received the briefing.

Trump said he wasn't briefed, either on the dossier or the sex party. He lied. He was briefed on both and had the dossier in his hands.

White House counselor Kellyanne Conway, who told Seth Meyers on Tuesday night that Trump “has said that he is not aware of” having been briefed on its contents. In the same appearance, Conway had reiterated Trump’s assertion that the dossier was leaked by the intelligence community.

By Wednesday, they were walking it back, as per usual, with Trump blaming the US Intel community for leaking the intel and the fact that he had been briefed on the dossier, that is now big news in the public forum!

On the day the news breaks , just after in fact, Kelly Anne Conway says he didn't see it.
A few hrs later in a press conference Trump himself says 'I was shown it after the briefing'
A day later Comey says he briefed Trump after the general briefing.

Your conclusion: Trump LIED!

Not only have you just been forced to walk back a whole series of fake news articles and rely on a third party speaking on the spot for Trump, you've had to also actually ignore what Trump said himself BEFORE Comey revealed they'd spoken.
