In my opinion reducing everything down to the sum of its smallest parts is illogical and beginning to be proven false through quantum mechanics

Read that out loud to yourself.

A simple prediction based on future planetary movements is all that should be needed, right?

Well as you say we know where the planets are and we can can predict where they will be in the future, it is possible that there is a mechanism we do not yet understand that could play a part....

OMG! Cannot believe this post! I found this site 6 years ago almost to the day, Mother's day. I found it by Googling everything "earthquake" that I could find by adding "Non Mainstream News" and I found the "earthquake 2010,11,12,13,14,15 and now 2016 Threads. A lot of activity going on lately for sure! I haven't been on here actively in awhile EXCEPT to check my favorite thread on Earthquakes.
I grew up hearing CONSTANTLY that California would one day "fall off" into the ocean. I asked my father "how could that happen?" He said, have you LOOKED at a map of the United States ??? Anyway, he went on to explain how an Earthquake could potentially cause that part of America to drop off into the ocean, or be overcome by the ocean. (TSUNAMI) I think those scare more than and Earthquake, I swear. My Dad never lied to me, so I grew up expecting to see this happen in my lifetime! It would literally not not have surprised me, and when I see your comment, it happened to be the 1st time in forever that I'd thought about it or heard the same thing from anyone else, ever!

You know what? People say things like fall off, slide into Ocean, or whatever. The truth is, they mean "Washed away, and Sunk" more than likely. I hate to even SAY that, to be honest.

Ok, so what planets are we talking about here then?

Jupiter?
Mars?

Anything more than "the planets make earthquakes happen!"?

You are oblivious to what is above your head and how that affects what's below your feet.

Not my problem.

Again, deny ignorance.

I've done my research, I've related to what the ancients have depicted and talked of.

Do your own research and relaring before dismissing things with complete and utter ignorance.

Earth is relative to the other planets, they dance with their parent, such movement affects one another.

Sorry but Chadwickus asked fair questions in my opinion. "I've done my research" is not backing up your claims, especially if you're going to use this information and your perceived authority on the subject to call someone else ignorant. If there is any evidence that the other planets affect earthquakes then can you present any factual source to your claims?

As far as I know there is a possible correlation between the tides and some types of earthquakes (therefore you could argue the moon affects it) but I have honestly never seen evidence to show what you claim (and even now I am searching and cannot find a single factual source to corroborate it).

Help me out?

That is the truth, when one slides another builds pressure. I live on the Madrid, which is WAY overdue. I always pay attention to what's going on around me, in the other big lines. Earthquakes that are 7 or above SHOULD affect another area. When you see a large one, then a bigger one, then a 7+ you should pay attention, I think.

Guys, take it for what it's worth, but last month i dreamt that a 9.7 earthquake had occured. I don't know where, since the dream didn't show me exactly where the epicenter would be, but i was only shown the Pacific Ocean map. Then, three days ago i had a dream about something unprecedented changing in the Sun that is heating Earth massively from the inside out, and then the next scene came with the big word “ MAY ”. I wasn't shown a year to come with that, so could it be May 2016 next month ?

Oklahoma had no earthquakes in the past day or two. I don't know how common this is but I'm just top seeing a bunch of dots in this area and today there were none.

We are coming to a fast earth change. Those quakes don't just happen all the time. They are not the only events to happen.

There are tremendous amount of info released on the net. Including under disguise of films. Society breakdown or much worse will follow, even without any Planet 9. Actually we should be lucky if Chinagedon will only dump the dollars.

I tend to believe the earthquakes and volcanoes will intensify shortly, including in California, New Madrid, Yellowstone and Azores, to name a few. Italy/Greek/Turkey/Syria are all potential earthquake zones.

I want to review the activity of the sun the last 72+ hours. Tho I am sure many are studying that right now. The sun is in a less active period now...were the days preceding this an outlier of lack of activity?

Time will feel if the 7.4 is THE quake or a foreshock. It was discussed that Japan's Thursday' 6.1 was (possibly) a precursor to a larger quake, and it was.

Have you reviewed this guy Dr u-yen's work?
thewatchers.adorraeli.com...

He has done some amazing research and correctly predicated earthquakes in November last year.

You keep posting this old thread as it was debunking anything. Sunspot number entry is bogus. Most sunspots are insignificant.
You were just sucking the glory of mainstream science and opposition proceeding while stopping any self-education and research process. It happens when you think you know or science knows and you benefit from being in the same rigid train while falling asleep.
What about coronal holes, interplanetary magnetic field, changes and peaks in polarity?
To me this man is Galileo G. and you are a 100 years old Sorbonna professor. Without the sun there would be no weather and no earthquakes.

make emergency plans just in case if you live near a fault line / coast with a fault line.

You see, this is what I don't understand.
If I lived in an area prone to Earthquakes, I would be Sheldon Cooper. I would have a backpack, a sleeping bag and a tent all packaged up outside my home waiting for this to happen.
The second I felt a tremor I would be outside grabbing it.
I don't care if I look foolish, I would rather look foolish than look dead.

It seems to me that sadly a lot of people just don't prepare. I also keep hearing a lot of the same things from survivors and seeing a lot of the same responses on video, people feel it start and just wait, thinking it might be over in a couple of seconds. If it is just a little tremor then great, but if it doesn't stop you've just wasted vital seconds "hoping for the best".

If you live in a place prone to EQ's like this you should have a bag, a tent and a sleeping bag ready outside your home, a plan to meet with others you know in the area, so you can spread the necessities amongst you, a location to meet in an open space like a park etc.

I dread to think what's going to happen in California when the big one hits. They've spent so much money and effort trying to convince people to be ready and have a plan, but I really don't think most people have done any of it.

It's great having new buildings constructed to a standard they they're more likely to survive an EQ, but that's not guaranteed and there are plenty of buildings constructed to different standards.

I mentioned in the Japan thread that is seems to me activity is increasing in regularity and magnitude, and it really does. Whatever is the cause of this, whether it's a bigger event happening that we don't know about or a cyclic thing, or perhaps just a coincidence, people need to be prepared everywhere right now.

It is good to hear someone to address the urban life issues, and the actual problems one will face when trying to escape the quake zone. Let me enlarge it for outside USA.

Many people do not have the luxury of US homes with lawns where they can sleep instead. If you see pictures from Ecuadorean town, it is pretty much impossible to go to sleep anywhere else outside your house, except if you go hi up in the wild mountain. It is pretty much the same for the greater part of the world, where the cities and towns are built as such, to live in structures from several to ten floors, without many free spaces for campers. You have to abandon the cities altogether in order to get a rural life that is incomparable as quality. USA is a rural country with houses spread around every major city on distances that you can cover only with your own car. Dependent on gas etc. It is not the same in the urban communities in Europe or elsewhere. Let alone, the cars that flee quake zone would make major jams. Where to flee in a country like Japan that is so densely populated? Only to go to another city that may be hit next.

I am not that sure whether the US low wooden buildings will stand either if a bigger quake hits. Movies show us the opposite, they all collapse. We are before a major catastrophe of planetary proportions, and today's 7.8 is nothing compared to it.

I remember some apocalyptic nuclear war story, how after the announcement by the president, everyone starts to flee to the airports, only to get to a plane to go to another city at the time when it is nuked...

It is a time to address seriously situation that may soon be planetary, where you don't have where to go because of abovementioned problems, or because you won't have gas and food if you go with your car into the wilderness. Is there any emergency plan for evacuation in deep underground bunkers, or something else, in case let say several dozen cities like New York and Paris are struck with 10M. Is there hope beyond the current attempts to rescue small number of people post factum with the help of international rescuers. In case of total catastrophe there won't be any rescuers, or US helicopters to come to save you as happens in apocalyptic movies. Is there something beyond that to count on it when finally the earth is struck.

I don't think the "big one" is going to be in California (well, maybe the northern tip of CA) but will hit along the Pacific northwest where the Cascadia fault is. That fault is way overdue for an eruption and this fault is from the top of Washington state, down along Oregon and to the tip of California. (the Juan de Fuca plate is stuck under the North American plate)

That area could get a massive 9.2 quake and everything along the west of Interstate 5 will be destroyed.

I remember seeing this segment on Fox news last year. This link describes what will happen: (sorry for the doom porn!)

What about upheavals? Could they cause a slide? Along the Snake River you see where the lava strata had been heaved up. Just my untrained observation cause I love rocks.
