Well, I think it is time to say "Bye Bye" Bernie. You just lost a huge percentage of your supporters, or will when they find out. That was dumb, very dumb. The rest of your interview was fine but this zinger is going to cause more losses than any gains from the Hillary camp if any (which I doubt).

Bernie Sanders Calls for All Guns Not Used Specifically for Hunting to be Outlawed!

Well, looks like crazy Bernie’s at it again, this time calling for all guns not typically used for hunting to be outlawed!

While meeting on NBC’s Meet the Press

And second of all I believe that we need to make sure that certain types of guns used to kill people, exclusively, not for hunting, they should not be sold in the United States of America, and we have a huge loophole now with gun shows that should be eliminated.

Should I be saying "bye bye Bernie?"

I was thinking "Hello Hillary"

That is a non-negotiable with me.

Stick a fork in Bernie.

ETA: Funny how these are the same people that advise us NOT to judge ALL Muslims by the actions of a few lunatics, but we are encouraged to judge ALL gun owners by the actions of a few lunatics.

Pretty much. I wasn't going to vote for him anyway...

What an utterly stupid thing to say.

I'm startin' to run out of candidates...I may have to make one up.

No kidding.

If anyone should be disarmed it is the Federal Government. They kill people around the world every day yet I have managed to never kill someone, but I have to be disarmed.

No thanks.

I have to give credit where credit is due ... your edit makes perfect sense.

The Constitution is clear and SCOTUS interpretations are clear; Americans have a right to own firearms.

And he said, although he probably misspoke, that any gun "not used for hunting should be taken away."

It is very funny, just like the gun stores that posted the signs that love to say don't judge the many for the few.

I don't like that bernie said this, he pigeon holed the issue way to much here.

So all people have to do is shoot a rabbit with their AR or Ak and all is fine.

How is recognizing the huge problem of gun violence a "fantasy world?"

It's you gun worshippers that live in fantasy.

Think the thought process behind what he said is that those weapons are hard to say are meant for hunting.

Which I would agree isn't so black and white. Also that that isn't what the second says.

Sweeping bans like that isn't control.

The saddest part of this is thanks to spin, like the thread title, people are ignoring what he said in favor of what they think he means.

"Guns used for killing people, exclusively..."

Y'know, like a belt fed machine gun? Something that's fully automatic? I can't lay claim to having hunted animals all that much, but I don't recall ever thinking "God I wish I could shoot this deer 31 times in less than three seconds. That would make this way better."

Now, one could reasonably argue he (sanders) might include any assault type rifle in his statement, but I think that's up to him to clarify and not others to ASSUME, isn't it?

Nah. Way more fun to tweak his statement juuuuust a little bit and then scream about it.

Gun Violence is a Criminal Concern , Not a Constitutional One . Mr. Sanders seems to have somehow not Understood that Simple Fact .
