Britain is too tolerant and should interfere more in people's lives, says David Cameron

"A lie gets halfway around the world before the truth has a chance to get its pants on" - Winston Churchill...

As a Conservative I have no pleasure in exposing David Cameron's deficit claims. However, as long as the party continues to talk down the economy via the blame game, confidence will not be given an opportunity to return. For it is an undeniable and inescapable economic fact: without confidence and certainty there can be no real growth. Below are the three deficit claims - the mess. The evidence comes from the IMF, OECD, OBR, HM Treasury, ONS and even George Osborne. The claims put into context are: Ramesh Patel

Finally! Exposed! The Deficit Myth! So, David Cameron When Are You Going to Apologise?

The chances of David Cameron apologising to the nation for misleading them about the finances of this country, for levering people against one another by way of increasing the erosion of our civil liberties citing a desire to remove radicals from our nation, despite the tools already being in place to perform that task effectively, or using his position over the last five years, to slowly destroy the lives of the working poor which is a scheme which will only increase in speed now that he has a majority to work with, the chances of this bastard apologising for any of that are virtually nil percent.

In order to apologise, one has to first admit to oneself that ones actions are in some way wrong, and it is not given to people of his awful sort, to see their own failings for what they are, let alone have the decency to actually publicly prostrate himself before the people and ask their forgiveness.

The chances are that the Tories believe that what they have done to gain power and keep it over the years, and their every hateful machination whilst in power, is justified by their determination to see their ideology prevail. They epitomise the territorial phallus waving, which has dogged the political process in this country for decades, and has turned our citizens inward upon one another, the better to prevent the people from recognising the true threat, that being an apathetic appeasement of this hegemony.

We now also have a justice minister who believes in hanging, a disabilities minister who doesn't believe in disability benefits for disabled children and an equalities minister who voted against gay marriage, but this is what the people wanted. It's also what the sun and daily mail want too, funnily enough

Well gee sure, these proposals are solely aimed at extremists and in no way will the government target law abiding, peaceful Brits.
This couldn't possibly be a stealth bill that starts down a slippery slope now could it.
Over the last couple days the news coming out of Britain and this new government seems mostly Orwellian in nature and seems very worrying but hey, it's only aimed at extremists and terrorists right?

Come on man - open your eyes.

Here's the problem with a lot of what suspicious people here repeatedly say... there is no evidence.

All the time, day in and day out, people here make claims and accusations based on nothing but their own fears or paranoias.

But, having said that, did you even read my full post? If you had you would have seen that I stated I agree with these measures when they are held in check by the courts and the public.

These measures actually do require a court order, and if anyone here knows about the British system they would know that the courts are not likely to support any order which isn't valid - unlike the fiasco of regional governments being given permission under Labour to spy on anyone for any reason without any court order being required, something which later caused several regional and city councils to be heavily criticized and (I believe) even led to pay outs for those who's rights were infringed upon.

So, aside from the suspicion and paranoia that this is all a plot to watch you fapping on your webcam (which of course it's not, because to spy on all 64 MILLION CITIZENS in such a way would need a vastly larger system) how else is the state supposed to protect against extremism in our country?

If those we elect to manage our country for us don't have the ability to act against those preaching violence and encouraging others to commit brutal acts against people, what is the solution to this problem?

We know these people exist, we know that they are happy to abuse the rights and freedoms we have in this country to maim and kill, and we know they would love to do so on an industrial level, so what is the solution to this problem?

People keep complaining about anything the big bad state does, but they never seem to be able to offer any solutions to the problem themselves.

Worse...it's a global conspiracy in the works.

It's not about the UK, or the USA or Europe, nor Asia, Africa, S. America...it's about the entire world.

*sigh*

Please prove this to be the case.
Really, we see this notion suggested every day here on ATS but no one ever seems to be able to back up this notion of a "NWO global conspiracy" with any ACTUAL FACTS.

Actual facts...you're kidding surely?

Have you been asleep over the last several years or something matey?

Please, matey, show me these facts.
And no, a YouTube rant by some paranoid delusional Republican rancher in Texas is not evidence.
Alex Jones is not evidence.
Suspicion is not evidence.
Other conspiracy theories based on nothing are not evidence.

When it comes to this fantastical "NWO" or "global conspiracy" all I see is the inevitable result of unrestrained capitalism and corporate greed. There is no evidence for anything else. No one can provide this evidence for anything else. No one here, even though it's brought up as a paranoid statement of fact every day, has ever actually been able to prove the existence of any global conspiracy.

Please, prove it. Once I have the evidence of it I can assess my opinion and perhaps you would be able to change my mind.

Yeah, well said...It's no coincidence that we are seeing the rise of these poverty Porn shows like Benefit Street, Benefits Britain coincide with the attack on the welfare state and Unemployment and disability benefits in particular.

The Nazis pulled the same trick all through the 30's, only the people went to the picture houses to watch films like The Eternal jew (Der ewige Jude).. Suss the Jew (Jud Suss) etc etc

As i said..Coincidence??? I think not.

on Topic...Human right being attacked at the same time the threat level has increased or at least we are being programed into believing that the ISIS bogeyman is living next door and he's about to feed your own mother your own body, or open a gay bar just so he can entice them in for the Kill...Coincidence?...you decide.

The list is endless of comparisons between this government and the last Government and the Nazi way of controlling the masses and treating those who stand in it's way.

It's aimed at extremist elements those people who want to cause problems for everyone by inciting hate etc , then when called out they hide behind the human rights act look who long it took us to get rid of hook hands Abu Hamza and how much it cost British tax payers.

He should have have been put on a plane the first time he caused problems then thrown off it (parachute optional) over the USA or any other nation that he was wanted by!

That's the kind of people this is aimed at !!!!

Yes it's Aimed at them but is that where it will stop and is that all it'll be used for.

I said the exact same thing in a conversation only yesterday!

Such an amazing graphic novel, but scary that it seems like it's slowly becoming reality.
