Yay! Short stories contest, one of my favorite things! Conditions have to be right (usually cold and raining outside); quiet in the house, dark outside, and then I get a drink of one flavor or the other and Read them in one evening!

This is a very very short little tale - a character sketch almost... I wanted to play, but had very little time to write, so this is the result. So that's that.

I am very pleased that everyone is so happy with the dragon topic. I figured it would go over well. We have some really great entries so far! There is still plenty of time to get those stories out people.

To bad it it's only one entry per member,
because with the stories coming out,
I bet there are people who would love to do two or more.
Not that you need a contest to write one,
but it does seem to kick the motivation factor.

Agreed on the great stories. Dragon's are just a great subject, they capture the human imagination.

The way the contests work....the winner picks the next subject prompt. Now, I wouldn't recommend doing back to back dragon theme's.....but it can always be thrown out there again by a future winner.

Oh we will have none of that! I know there are far better writers than I, but I jump in anyway. It's fun and challenging. If it weren't for some friends back on a writers site years ago giving me some confidence and wings to fly, I would have missed out on so much through the years.

I was intimidated and feeling unworthy at one time. Now I see that there are some people who truly enjoy what I write. To me, if I can make even one person smile, just one person happy because of reading a little tale of mine, I am content.

So...get to it!

Wow 22 and counting! I am sooooo happy I chose this topic! I am so happy to journey with you all in your wonderful realms! I am happy too that so many are reading and commenting on the stories! I am especially impressed with some of our non-writer status people who I know will get their title of 'writer' soon enough! Very impressive!
