But I really have a problem with what you've said. You said it's:
"it's obviously a terrestrial aircraft".

That's because it is obviously a terrestrial aircraft , it has discernible wings and if you download the video and watch it slowed down you can clearly see that apart from the flashing strobe at the rear it also has aviation strobes , they aren't easy to see at normal speed as the footage is such low quality but they are there.

In my understanding terrestrial aircraft are required to run aviation strobes which I believe makes the object a terrestrial aircraft.
In my original post I suggested that it may be a refueling aircraft but as I said in that post it was "Just a thought" , nevertheless the object is a plane.

What about this is OBVIOUSLY a plane (other than you wanting to believe it is)?

I would prefer to believe it was Aliens but rather than rely on belief I look at the evidence and make my judgment from that.

Gortex,

What I filmed was not a refueling mission. I can say this with 100 percent certainty. How can I say this?

Refueling missions occur at a much higher attitude than 3000-5000 feet. And they don't usually refuel over a subdivision over suburbia.

Also.. as you are so certain of yourself that the outer spheres of light are nothing more than jets waiting to fuel. Please show us all that the standard lighting configuration of fighter jets consist of 1 white light.. None of this is standard, conventional configurations of aircraft lighting.

The Large red light in the center, you can't tell it by the video, cause when i started shooting the video, this craft had already passed over our vehicle, but that large red light was down below the rest of the lights by about 1/4" at arms length.. So.. probably 50-100 ft below the actual cluster of lights.

I know you are trying very hard to fit this into your square box, but.. try again..

Refueling missions occur around 30,000 ft. Please show us a low altitude refueling mission, over a populated area with the exact configuration of lighting that I have in my video.. With only white lights and 1 red light.. Then you might have some credibility.

Sorry, try again.

I didn't say the outer spheres were jets waiting to fuel , also you seem to have missed the part where I said it was just a thought , the object in the video is a plane but I don't know what type of plane nor do I know what the trailing lights are.

You are very arrogant to make statements like this when you were not even there as a witness!

If you are so sure of what it is...SHOW US!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Or SHUT UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!

TigerT.

I finally looked at the photos that you posted and they are very interesting, even though they are out of focus. How much were you zoomed in when you took the photos? Just a note/tip to anyone taking pics/video of objects in the sky. Take your camera out of auto focus. Focus manually, to infinity, that will give you the sharpest image.

Someone that I know, Terrel Copeland, and was interviewed a couple times on the show, UFO Hunters video taped something that I think is more similar to what you witnessed. This was also filmed in Virginia. Suffolk, Va., near Norfolk, Va.
Take a look:

i live in the UK and i saw a UFO last night, around 00:41 it was like a star but was red/whiteish sort of pulsating twinkle, as i watched it stay still floating in the sky for around 6 mins it started to move left to right sort of slow movement it did that 3 times then stayed still for about 2 mins, and all of a sudden it was not there it was just instantly gone from the sky like 1 second it was there and a nano second later it was not.

Carl,

I don't know how to zoom in on this phone camera. I went through every setting and couldn't find any zoom on it. This same thing happened when I was trying to get shots of the Moon back in July with my old phone and someone told me if I tapped the square on the screen it would make it zoom. That didn't work on my old phone or on this one. ..I tried several times. The only thing I found that would change the picture at all was the filters and I tried the "night" setting but it just made it even darker.

I'm not really familiar with cameras but I'm thinking that maybe the fact that the sky was so bright actually hindered me from getting photos of the object because the lights on it were bright too. Like maybe they cancelled each other out? Were you able to see the object at all in the photos? I have tried enhancing them with the editing tools but it just doesn't work. I was hoping someone might have software that could do the trick.

It's overcast out here, been raining all day but if the sky is clear enough tonight I'm going to try and play around with it a bit and see if I can figure out how to zoom it in case this thing comes back. I wish I could figure out how to upload the video I got. ..I keep thinking that maybe that would show something better if it was enhanced.

I think the only way to post a video here is to go post it to You Tube, then share the Y/T video.

Ughh... ok I'll try that on Monday at work when I have access to a computer. Meanwhile, I've tried everything I can to take pics of the sky tonight and nothing comes out, no matter what I do. Huge bummer.

Yes
I refer to those as "fake stars", and have seen them many times when I lived in Texas. I've seen them with red lights and also violet blue lights. One of them followed my neighbor from the parking lot to her apartment and she said it was huge, very close (about 100ft above her) and so bright that it hurt her eyes to look at it. This was in 2011.

Carl,

I finally was able to get enough signal to watch that video! Yes yes yes! That's what I saw! Except the sphere in the center was like a glowing black plasma. And there was a big light at the bottom. Holy crap! That's what I saw!

ETA: Now that I've watched it for about the sixth time, it looks like it might be precisely what I saw. .. what looks like a sphere could actually be the big light at the bottom and the black plasma could be there, just not visible on this video. I am so stoked right now! This is awesome!

I have an S4. To zoom use your volume buttons. Also to focus touch what you want in focus on the screen and wait for the square to turn green.
You can also change the standard camera with another app. I use "a better camera" which can be found on play store, not sure what features the free version gives you but it's better than the standard camera.

Now how about you tell me why that isn't a plane !

You are very arrogant to make statements like this when you were not even there as a witness!

And you are very ignorant if when given an alternative explanation to what you saw all you can do is hit the caps lock and tell me to shut up , seems to me I'm the only one here that's bothered to look at the video and try to explain it.

Sure throw insults and remain ignorant

Gortex,

I wish I could go back and erase some of what I said there and I want to apologize for being so rude. It was un-called for.
I shouldn't have re-acted so much with my feelings. And I want to thank you for responding back.

Though, you should realize that when you tell people that have experienced the sighting of something very unusual and mysterious in the night sky that what they saw is nothing more than a conventional plane.. or whatever, you could be stepping on someones toes.

Also, if you are going to be a 100 percent skeptic, please provide data to back up your claim. To say, "It is a plane, or a blimp, or xyz, I ask that you show in another example of how it is that XYZ object, and not the aliens from Zeta Reticuli(just kidding).

You will never see me say that Objects that I am not sure what they are, are aliens. I will say that they are unusual, they are a UFO until identified.

Enough about that. But, thank you for responding back and I apologize. I will respond back to your question as to why I think this isn't an air plane in my next post.

First off, I will tell you, that I do not know what this craft is, which is why I stopped in traffic and pulled over to film it. I should create a bumper sticker that says, caution, I stop for UFO's.

Also, I can't say with 100 percent certainty, that it isn't some strange new exotic air craft that our government may own. You don't know, what you don't know. Although, if it is, I find it highly unusual, that the government would be flying it over Chesterfield, County, Va.

I can tell you this about your assumptions with your tags. Thank you for doing that by the way.

1) What you call a "Tail": This is not the tail of an aircraft. It is hard to tell in this pic, because of my vantage point that I filmed it. However, that is a large red strobing light that was at a much lower altitude than the other lights. When this was approaching us.. (not filmed) That large red light is what caused me to stop the vehicle, because it was so much lower than the rest of the lights. To give you an idea, what I am talking about. With your hand, make a claw. The tips of your fingers would be the points of light. With your other hand, take your index finger and put it below your claw hand, about 2 inches and in the center. That gives you a perspective of that large light in the middle, that you are calling a tail. It isn't a tail section, like you would imagine on a conventional air craft.

2) Those "Tailings": Those appeared to be spheres of light, not connected to the rest of the craft, but keeping pace as though they were. Are you suggesting that these are the end of nozzle, like on a refueling plane? Escort Jets? I don't think so. They were not using conventional navigation lights. And this couldn't have been a re-fueling mission, simply because of the low altitude.

3) Wing Tips- What you are calling wing tips were of the same intensity of light, same color of light as what you are calling tailings. Also, no standard red & green nav lights. There does appear to be some connecting structure on those, I will admit.

I am going to work on getting some of my frame grabs from this video uploaded. They may be a little clearer than your frame grabs off of the youtube video.
