I see a race going on, The powers that be are trying to take away all our rights before we the people can band together to expell them. I am sure most are aware that the supreme court has become corrupt, many senators and congressmen are corrupt and that they are pasing laws that are against the will of the people. What actions can we the people take to swiftly remove these people from office ? I think the first that needs to be removed is any corrupt High Court Judge, for they control the Law and will overturn any lawsuits against the government. We can no longer stand by and allow corrupt people to control our destiny. What can we do to remove them first and then the others asap ?

You have to change the media first and fore most. The media is the fastest way to start a change.

You say you want a revolution
Well, you know
We all want to change the world
You tell me that it's evolution
Well, you know
We all want to change the world
But when you talk about destruction
Don't you know that you can count me out?

Don't you know it's gonna be
Alright?
Alright?
Alright?

You say you've got a real solution
Well, you know
We'd all love to see the plan
You ask me for a contribution
Well, you know
We are doing what we can
But if you want money for people with minds that hate
All I can tell is, brother, you'll have to wait

Don't you know it's gonna be
Alright?
Alright?
Alright?

You say you'll change the constitution
Well, you know
We all want to change your head
You tell me it's the institution
Well, you know
You'd better free your mind instead
But if you go carrying pictures of Chairman Mao
You ain't gonna make it with anyone anyhow

Don't you know it's gonna be
Alright?
Alright?
Alright?
Alright?
Alright?
Alright?

John Lennon

Edit:

Just talk to people .

The rest grows from there.

The revolution is of mind.

I have made the offer to people in the secret service and people that guard the white house that I will go in there and arrest the current people running the country if they would stand down. Still havent heard from them on that one. As far as getting these people out simple what Gools has suggested but I will just flat out say it "REVOLT" its far past time.

Now the only question is who would join to make sure we had enough people to do so?

Perhaps a fund to do a hostile takeover of at least one major news outlet would be indicated. The purpose could be as simple as an ESOP of reporters who want to actually practice their work, instead of feeding the people nonsense from corporations and the government.

Further funding would have to be in place for sponsorship, since most corporations who harm the environment, or have bad business practices, will not want to sponsor normal reporting and gumshoe professionalism.

A bad place to start I think. At the proverbial "root of all evil".

It starts with educating yourself.

Start with your political system, it sucks.

You end up with one rich person with rich backers against another rich person with rich backers.

All the rich backers want their cut of the country if their person wins.

This is not the way to run a democracy.
It gives you what you have - corruption at the top where business runs the country for its own uses, where feedback from the people is only once every election, where money speaks over ethics and morality in office.

There are many other types of democracy in the world that work well, look at the versions in europe, and Oceania for example.

A system that gives the second and 3rd parties in the election rights equivilent to the votes they gain (MMP) is far more representative than the corrupt regimes in America than present.

Start there and work down, the rot is at the top...

The only thing that can be done is:

For all people to stand up for their rights. We the people need to make the change(we all know this is happening and do absolutely nothing....I'm guilty of it). We think things will get better but they get worse. We used to run this country and now we have nothing to do with it except make the rich more powerful. How the hell do you get the people to do anything? Thats why I havn't. We need a large movement but how do you do that without disrupting and putting the U.S. in danger?

I couldn't agree with you more. Since we have been off the gold standard, presidents have been able to print money at their every whimsical wish. Since the '30's when all gold was confiscated and the government set te price of gold a year later for their profit, all hell has broke loose.

Look at my sig from Rage Against the Machine: it has to start somewhere, it has to start sometime, WHAT BETTER PLACE THAN HERE, WHAT BETTER TIME THAN NOW, all hell can't stop us now.

We can make the change if we really want to.

Nothing can be done. I have a creeping feeling that people just don't care enough to get involved anymore...just as long as they can go about driving their Mercedes and believing that everything is OK.

Truely though, I wonder if we have let big business, etc. grow to the point where we have no control anymore. How many people do you think would stand up against Corporations, govt., etc. if they had a gun pointed in their face? I really want to know............

Look, you can call me a political partisan if you want to, but the first and most important thing to do is to vote George Bush out of office.

Sure it would be nice to reform the media, they are a big part of the problem. There are lots of changes that need to be made. But things will only get worse, much worse, if George Bush is reelected.

Think of this as a situation where your house is on fire. Are you going to discuss remodelling the kitchen, or are you going to put out the fire?

Please don't tell me Kerry will be just as bad. That is just nonsense. I am not going to rehearse the total disaster that George Bush has been as President, or tell you how great Kerry will be.

Let's just discuss two issues. Bush's tax cuts and Bush's free speech zones.

Bush's reckless tax cuts have taken the federal government from a $280 billion budget surplus to a $500 billion budget deficit in just four years. Bush is trying to bankrupt the federal government by reducing tax revenues to the point that the government won't be able to meet its basic financial obligations, like interest payments on the debt, and entitlements like social security. When Bush took office, the national debt was projected to be paid off within ten years. Now the prospect is for trillions in additional debt far into the future. The government currently pays over $200 billion per year in interest payments on the national debt. If the debt were paid off, those interest payments would go away.

Was there such a thing as free speech zones before George Bush became President? If there was, I sure don't remember it. Previously, the entire United States of America was a free speech zone. Now, wherever Bush goes, no protesters are allowed within miles of the President. People wearing anti-Bush or pro-Kerry tee shirts are arrested or escorted from the premises at Bush political rallies. The man cannot tolerate anyone disagreeing with him.

I have attended two Presidential political rallies in my life. In 1960, I attended a rally for then Senator John Kennedy in Phoenix. After his speech, I walked right up and shook his hand. In 1992, I attended a rally for then Governor Bill Clinton on the UNLV campus in Las Vegas. This was an open event, and there was no one checking on what kind of tee shirt you were wearing.

Every Presidential candidate before Bush has had to endure protesters and hecklers. The fact that Bush uses raw police power to ensure that he never sees or hears protesters or hecklers should tell you everything you need to know about the man.

We need a truly participatory way of democracy with proper representation.

I think many things should be done at the local level by citizen committees. Not a political "Office" like City Councils.

The structure of the different layers of government needs to be changed and who gets to run things must be based on real and relevant merrit and qualifications. The way we choose people needs to change in your mind. Why do you vote who you vote for? (rethorical question)

Thing is if the US adopted the gold standard now, it would enrich the rest of the world more than the US, since the rest of the world holds most of the gold.

A rough "back of an envelope" calculation....if you divide the current US dollar cash and coin supply (M1 - currently 1.2 trillionish) by the amount of gold in US reserves (about 7000 tons, or 200 million troy ounces ), then assume 10% actual gold backing, you get a "value" on that gold of around 5500 dollars an ounce.

And that's taking the smallest measure of the money supply, (M1 doesn't even include money already in bank accounts. If that was included, the "value" of gold would in theory increase to 30,000 dollars per ounce! Something like that would have pretty major and unpredictable results world wide.

It's easier that you think. It starts with talking about things to your friends, neighbours, and people you meet. Real things not what was on TV last night or which bunch of uneducated millionair grunts won the game last night. But issues that matter.

What is the danger to the "US" (which is "you the people") of educating yourself and getting involved and then helping others know and understand what you have learned about? And remembering to learn from others?

On the economic side of things.

I would hope that we could do more than decide which finite resource comming out of the planet is most worhty of our avarice, and then base our entire economic system on priciples meant to privatise those resources for a select few to exploit the resulting power.

We need a serious look at a new economic paradigm. Ideas from all parts of the political spectrum need to be looked at and the best from each molded into a new sustainable paradigm. The entire system we have now is based on continuous and neverending profit increases with no end in sight. How do you think the rich STAY rich?

To get our country back, we have to get bush out first, like Donguillermo said, then ban any rich person from becoming a political candidate and finaly keep religion out of politics, for good, religion belong in the church not in politics.

Hear! Hear!

The mentally challenged (call it uncurious if you must) should not be able to become commander in chief and run the country's economy.

Edit:

No offence to anyone else than George W. Bush. I would say it to his face.
