The US warned Moscow to be "very careful" in its judgements after Vladimir Putin put armed forces in western Russia on alert, as tensions mounted in the pro-Russian Crimea over the overthrow of Moscow ally Viktor Yanukovych by pro-European protesters.
The White House is urging "outside actors" to respect Ukraine's sovereignty, as neighboring Russia prepares for massive military exercises.

There really aren't the words for the sheer hypocrisy.

Scary as it might sound, I believe we need stop Russia before they get any ideas about the
rest of the old Soviet States.
While we're on the subject.. it's about time Russia was told to
go swivel on their policy on Syria.. Putin's mafia is keeping Assad in power.
Hope the Russian people turn on Putin.

Who is WE? And whoever that is, why do you feel compelled that We has the right to stop Russia or any country for that matter to take a certain action? Who gives WE the right to act as a world police and decide who does what? And who said Assad regime is the bad guys and not the rats of Al Qaida who fight against him are the good one?edit on 26-2-2014 by Telos because: (no reason given)

WE in this case, are the Nato Alliance and Western Europe.
I guess you're just a kid or you would understand Divisions that still
divide East and West after the break of up of the old Soviet Union.

This war mongering mentality is typical american. Always feeling the need to interfere in other countries business and flexing the muscles and bullying around. Mind your own business America. Enough trouble you've cost around the world. Enough wars you've initiated around the world. Enough souls have gone lost because you feel you have the right to decide for the whole world. Just stay away and mind your own damn business...

Ok, so I've starred both of your posts. Loved the point you were making.
This part however is an annoyance.

Because, as an American, and as far as all the citizens I personally know... we would LOVE for our government to mind its own business. Please stop saying this is a typical American mentality because it is not. The typical American mentality is - to each their own. We are for the people. All people. Not big governments.
I would love to think nothing is going to come of all this, I would love to think there was no way for this to turn into WWIII. It just seems so inevitable anymore.

WHO the HELL does Obama and his Black House think they are to tell Russia how they can or cannot rule their own people in their own country?
That's like if we had a civil war ( say north and south for instance Obama for the North), Russia would step in and say Nope Obama, you cannot step in and war with those folks in the South !
You think Obama would stand for this.. I think not.. thats once again how STUPID Obama is. We have no right to interfere at all even if millions of Russians on both sides are killed. No right at all !
