The worst thing about screaming wolf is that when the wolf finally shows up, no one will believe you. This is IMO whats happening with Fukushima. It is bad and there is no doubt. However it is at this point factual that the radiation is not affecting the West Coast as much as the doom lovers would like (or claim) it to be.

Do the research behind the opinions or not. The choice is yours. If you want to live in fear of something that is not affecting us yet go for it, good luck to you.

I on the other hand will continue to find facts as often as possible so that I can take proper precautions when/if I need to. For now I am going to eat some Ahi. (I will not however be fishing offshore of Fukushima).

If it was as bad as some of you would like to think it should be all the people of Japan would be dead or near dead by now. Currently background radiation in Tokyo is four times normal, not good but not the end of the world either.

Starfish are not dying because of Fukushima. That has already been proven beyond a shadow of a doubt. Is something wrong with the oceans? You bet there is and it causes me great concern. Knowing it is not Fukushima is great, not know what it is is scary.

What is your source for this statement about the starfish? The reason I ask is every news story Ive seen on this subject since last year has said that "Scientist are still baffled".

The scientist that have said its not connected to radiation, are they goverment funded?

like, if there are all of these "doom porn" addicts out there, (aka people who are concerned about Fukushima), are you trying to say "doom porn addicts" like myself, are rooting for the disaster to speed up and kill life quicker than its current pace? like, i'm rooting for children to get thyroid cancer? like, i want the whole world to die from nuclear? sorry, i'm just trying to figure it all out. i understand there are many that don't wanna deal with the current disaster at hand (including TEPCO), especially in the proper manner. (probably cost too much $$$, right?) i read a great statement earlier: "if they can't keep the radioactive wastewater from leaking out of storage tanks on the plant property, what makes you think they can come up with the cutting edge technology to stop the full-on meltdowns?" so what are they gonna do with the water in the tanks? dump it in the ocean, duh! what did they do with all of the radioactive debris? shipped it to different Japanese prefectures to be buried in the ground and burnt up into the atmosphere. yay! the ideas that have been brought up and forgotten have not been applied even till this day. remember what they were doing when it first happened? lead armored helicopters dumping borax and pumping saltwater in the rooms to keep them cool. they were in full disaster mode as soon as that generator(s) shut off. keep on drinkin' the FuKuul-Aid and keep telling me how clean it is, i'll pass and stick with what has figuratively happened in front of my face since 03/11/11. it's coming, just give it time. i even saw some pro MMA fighters spreading the word who live/train on the west coast USA. glad to see more and more are waking up to this topic and are understanding the seriousness of the situation and the future of life in the northern hemisphere. -Seacrest, OUT!

Latest News Is the sea floor littered with dead animals due to radiation? No.

Three Reasons Why Fukushima Radiation Has Nothing to Do with Starfish Wasting Syndrome

These stories I linked to are from the DeepSea News website. They were written by scientists that did the research. And yes, unlike most others I did the research into the background of the scientists and where they got their funding from. This was a done a few weeks ago, before I published a thread about it a few weeks ago.

If there was enough radiation leaking from Fukushima to kill starfish thousands of miles away off the west coast of California... I said it once and I will say it again..... there would a LOT more obvious signs than just starfish dying. It's just simply not possible at this stage of the Fukushima game.

Bingo! Exactly why I posted the links I did. Gets a bit old hearing people claim the Starfish die off is Fuku related. Not only does it defy logic it defies the science and the current proven measurements.

There have been mass die off of animals long before Fukushima...... When I was stationed Ft. Detrick in Maryland in the late 80's, there was an incident of thousands of birds falling out of the sky dead right over top of Ft. Detrick... they were picking them up in moon suits on post... I saw this myself... the only thing that was ever reported was in the local paper several weeks afterwards....a very small paragraph buried in the paper that said the birds died of natural causes. Whether that was true or not I do not know.

I am still waiting for my letter from the VA saying if you were stationed at Ft. Detrick from this date to that date, please go to your nearest VA hospital. LOL

I was mail clerk for my unit for several months.... you never forget the smell of burning monkey meat on Monday mornings...that's when they would incinerate the poor primates who expired over the weekend.

Add to that a handy little invention I heard about recently. It's the most innovative thing ever! They called it a Geiger Counter. Shhh.... Pretty special stuff!

They have old vintage 1990's style ones (Okay, maybe a couple years older on some of those) and they have Buck Rogers stuff all high tech and pricey.

It's even possible people bought a couple of these after Fukushima happened, and they're on the West Coast with them. Private citizens..just to check it out. Who knows?

(/sarcasm)

Funny how we don't hear lots of them screaming about readings, when, in reality, Geiger Counters were on backorder everywhere due to high demand and for quite some time after it started. They really ought to be everywhere, if there was something alarming to detect.

"I don't think anyone is 'defending' the fukashima disaster." Is this meant to be truthful? Right here Human 0815, who is a TEPCO employee, is one. And there are many, but there is no point in naming names as that was NOT my point.

Do you know what i am thinking about you?
evil:

You are far away from the Truth and just want to derail a important Topic!

You are just a "Doom-Porn'oholic" who need a therapeutical Supervision
for your intellectual poor performance!

Why you not come forward inside of the Threads and discuss the Topic?
Because you don't get any arguments served by the Ene-Shills?

"It is a well established fact that those whom rely upon the usage of the term “fear porn” are, in fact, in “fear” of losing their beloved “porn.” As a baby cries for it’s pacifier.

These are younger individuals, ignorant, of the workings of the world historically, and in it’s current context.

There are many who refer to these individuals as Punks."

That wasn't me by the way, just something I C&P from another website. I'm always seeing the word "Fear Porn" thrown around like it's the hottest phrase since the word "racist" started popping up everywhere.

That you never read the whole story due to it's lack of entertainment value is more than clear in your posts. Why research and read when you can blab BS. It is at this point that I put you on iggy. People that can't be bothered to read an article such as the one I posted are not worth my time. Believe what you will.

We all agree that the rads coming out are as verified 14,000 times more than the bomb we dropped... let alone 2 bombs.
So, with that said there is a cover up as with most everything the world goverment deems.
Let's not forget that this is SILL and will Still be pouring our high level rads for years to come. This is not over and the fat lady be glowing. It only gets worse from here folks and no I am not on the doom porn wagon. Just a guy thinking for himself and not letting MSM tell me what to think and feel.
This deal has and will cause great pin for the Entire world as we know it.
How to fix it is up to folks far brighter then I and should be tried if they can. What more harm can they do than has all ready been done? Puke more rads out....pfff

Don't get personal, the link you provided was extensive and to be honest it proved your point regarding the Starfish and thus did not really need to read he whole article. However the amount of ATS members you attack is astonishing. Members like you are the reason why so many people lurk on this site rather than contribute.

As said to Phage, if this is the kind of ATS contributor you are then I will not converse with you again. You try to make out you know everything pertaining to this incident. Fact is you know as much as the rest of us which is not very much other than what TPTB want us to know.

I tried to see your points and opinions raised on this thread but could not get my head that far up my own a**e.

If you want people to see your side of the argument, then don't get personal and keep to the topic in hand. You, Phage and others are spoiling this site by your personal attacks. I have thicker skin and can make a choice not to converse with you again.

Karma to you
