Are you serious? Do some research on who is exporting and importing large volumes of tuna into the US. You can find that info on the web. No I won't hold your hand a give you the direct answers. Sorry I'm a tough teacher you could say.

Research these companies, notice all the information they provide about traceability and sustainability. Research their sources. Research what the seafood and ocean news sources are. See what they are reporting on all subjects.

You call me annoying?? Why don't you research subjects the correct way? I just helped you out so much for no reason at all. All my sources are online, and yes contacting international contracts because of some American Doom Porn baloney from a conspiracy theory website would kill my credibility. C'mon... seriously... and no I'm not some , "nothing to see here, move on..."

I'm highly curious what is going on with Fukushima, but my conspiracy theory buddies on the subject are all right wing climate deniers! Maybe not you, but where others are pulling the conspiracies from, most definitely are!

Here is an example, tuna catch is low because of Fukushima, oh ok, overfishing not a problem anymore? Sorry but the Fukushima doom porn is laughable at this point because all the conclusion were all opinion based. "So much radiation poured out so we must be doomed! Quick to the bat cave!"

I have access to ocean and seafood info you don't have or info you don't know where to find on the web.

My bias is toward the truth. Not what if....

ATS used to be good back in the day, so my first assumption is a Fukushima thread on ATS might have some helpful info, but no....

I read the thread, check my sources and then I shake my head.

People like you and others think it's a game. You're guessing the outcome before it even happens, hence the conspiracy. Then it's just a shouting match and your only counter argument is they are hiding the truth. Blah
waste of my time.

so enlighten us oh informed one.....we are just here seeking truth and you seem to have it.....

we are all sharing our thoughts and research and since our thoughts and research are stupid and wrong.....

please change that with your god like thoughts and research......so we can be as smart as you....well....almost as smart as you

How can I research this information when only you have access to it?, your words!

Research these companies, notice all the information they provide about traceability and sustainability. Research their sources. Research what the seafood and ocean news sources are. See what they are reporting on all subjects.

Will this research also include long term exposure to eating this imported food?

You call me annoying?? Why don't you research subjects the correct way?

Never once called you "Annoying". Did say the way you converse with other ATS members was derogatory and Obnoxious and if you have a point to make then perhaps you need to change the way you converse with other people/

some American Doom Porn baloney

I'm not in America!

I'm highly curious what is going on with Fukushima, but my conspiracy theory buddies on the subject are all right wing climate deniers!

So anyone that thinks that there is more to the story about Fukushima, is now "Right Wing, Climate Deniers" ?

I think your comments have proved my points raised in my previous response to you, instead of discussing the issues and evidence or lack off you decide to start name calling.

My word very mature and my word your comments leave me in no doubt that you are correct in your assumptions, how wrong I have been to question anything to do with Fukushima. (SARCASM)

If this is the best you have to add to this discussion, then you are yet another ATS member I will no longer waste my time conversing with.

Wow dissecting my post...you have access too on the web...figure out where to look.

I can make phone calls and send emails, but why would I do that???!

Long term effects? We have been exposed to radiation since when the 50's? You failed right there twice by not knowing where to research long term effects to radiation. Who do you really think would have the answer to such a difficult question? Seafood and Oceanic industry? Really? What is long term effects? How much consumption? At what levels? How many things to consider? Is this research really worth it? It is? Where is your proof the research us worth it? Oh your doom porn opinion you can't admit you have? Ok got it.

Well have a field day...Your concerns about the ocean only pertain to Fukushima which is a mainstream news story fear induced disaster.

None of you have any real interest in actual science or other topics of concern for the ocean.

So I'm actually very happy I'm not welcomed into the discussion.

Some ones cage has been rattled!

If you honestly believe that we have had the same amount of radiation in our food since the 50's despite what has happened in Fukishima then you are at very best delusional. When you first stated you had "Data" that no one else had on ATS, my ears pricked up. Then came your responses. You don't have any data pertaining to this disaster that no one else has. You have exactly the same data as the rest of us.

You attack people who have opposing views to what you have and this goes a long way to show me the kind of person you really are.

Unfortunately you have done the latter

For the last time. You can go swim in Hawaii. You can go swim in California. Check with the life guards and coast guards since you are so paranoid...You can eat seafood from the Pacific. Most common COO are Philippines, Vietnam, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, India, China, Taiwan, Thailand, Tahiti, Samoa, Marshall Islands, Fiji , throughout the pacific islands also South and Central America, Hawaii, Alaska, East Coast, Norway, Scotland, Faroe Islands and Canada.

Fukushima waters have been closed off for commercial fishing since the disaster. All fish caught in Japanese waters are for Japan. This topic is exhausting already. Do the research yourself, stop replying to me if I add nothing...

The sea around Japan has been closed to commercial fishing since the disaster. Does that mean these radioactive isotopes can differentiate between these no fishing grounds and beyond and are so clever they don't move. Does this also mean that plankton knows not to enter or pass through Japanese waters before being eaten by the next line in the food chain?

No it does not, whilst you accuse anyone that does not agree with you of spreading doom porn, I more likely to assume that it's only correct to have an open mind about these issues this disaster has and will cause.

If you want to believe that everything is ok and that helps you sleep at night, so be it, but we still have approximately 300 tons of radioactive waste leaking into the ocean everyday.

Want to prove to me that everything is ok? Eat fish from the coastal waters in Japan and let me know the outcome.

Just want to mention that only the Coast around the Fukushima
Plant is Off-Limits but not from the whole of Japan!

Japan is still exporting Fish all around the Globe,
this Products are screened for Radiation and are free of it
(artificical one!)

There are a few types of Fish that accumulated Radiation like
Rockfishes and Flounders but the Levels of their contamination
is also decreasing!

I still eat Japanese Fish, Sushi and Sashimi because it is the most
healthy Product and saver than Meat Products from the US, Australia
or New Zealand!

I dont eat Fish from South East Asia or China but not because of
Radiation.

You said it didn't stand up to peer review. So could you provide the 'neutral peer review'? I'm not quite sure how my links went from 'Scientists aren't sure of the effects' to 'doom porn'. Out of all the links, the one you focused on simply says that the rates of hypothyroidism have increased with the information given and that there isn't enough time to do a very in-depth analyses; but the parameters of the experiment were clearly defined.

The nuclear testing conducted in the deserts of the USA took decades before the results came back on thyroid cancer incidents due to fallout - but they occurred and while it may not spell doom for you, it is a concern for some and shouldn't really be scoffed at, only the sensationalist reports that 'prove' fukushima is connected to sea deaths or have no impacts on humans or whatever without conclusive evidence.

The evidence that I linked had stated things like: Fallout may reach US coast by Feb. 2014, scientists are unsure of the effects on the food chain due to fukushima, background radiation levels have increased (but are safe) which is skeptical unless there has been tests conducted to see the effects of long term exposure to 'slightly raised' background radiation levels.

but not the rest of your Posting

Mangano done the same dubious Style shortly before
when he claimed that Fukushima killed 140.000 Americanos,
( this claim is from 2011!)
look for it!

And i do not know or better i do not understand what kind of Study
you demand, what are you looking for?

The following news sources are less than two weeks old and completely state the opposite to what you have been saying on this thread. This problem is ongoing and it will be years before we know exactly what damage has been done.

Thyroid cancer cases increase among young people in Fukushima

The number of young people in Fukushima Prefecture who have been diagnosed with definitive or suspected thyroid gland cancer, which is often associated with radiation exposure, has risen to 75, prefectural officials said Feb. 7.

ajw.asahi.com...

8 more Fukushima children have cancer

Jiji Press FUKUSHIMA (Jiji Press)—Eight more Fukushima Prefecture children have been confirmed as having thyroid gland cancer following the prefecture’s checkups, a prefectural panel said Friday.

the-japan-news.com...

Increase in suspected thyroid cancer cases seen in Fukushima residents

75 people living in Fuskuhima Prefecture have now been diagnosed with either definitive or suspected thyroid gland cancer. This type of cancer is oftentimes associated with exposure to radiation, an example of which is the nuclear plant incident of Fukushima in 2011.

japandailypress.com...

Fukushima Plant: Fish Detected 124 Times Highly Radioactive, Cancer More Prevalent in Japan in Next 50 Years?

Fish caught in waters near the crippled Fukushima nuclear plant have been detected 124 times highly radioactive than the accepted limit, a report by the Asahi Shimbun said.

The Fisheries Research Agency, a Japanese government-affiliated research institute, revealed over the weekend that a fish called black sea bream caught at the mouth of the Niidagawa river in Iwaki, Fukushima Prefecture contained 12,400 becquerels per kilogram of radioactive cesium. It was way 124 times over the safety standards for foodstuffs.

au.ibtimes.com...

But according to you and other deniers everything is ok. The fish alone that are 124 times over the safety limit, can these fish not be eaten by other Pacific Sea Creatures? or is it as you believe these contaminated fish stay within the exclusion zone.

Pretty much. Seabream for example:

A bottom to lower water shoaling fish, most often associated with rocky/weedy ground, along with reefs and wrecks.
They are not pelagic.

Bottom dwelling invertebrates and crustaceans, along with encrusted algae and small fish, make up the bulk of their diet.
They eat stuff of the bottom, where contamination accumulates

But they are part of a food chain, their eggs are eaten by Crustaceans amongst other animals, these are then eaten by other animals further up the food chain. There is no way on this gods earth that sea life that have eaten these radiated fish have stayed within the Japanese exclusion zone.
