Barack Gives Michelle Birthday Gift that Costs Taxpayers at least $63,000

Happy Birthday, Michelle!

This is no different than any other president.

$63,000 covers the airplane trip one way.
We might want to add the return trip - + $63,000
Secret service protection for extra week - $100,000 ( low estimate?)
Plus I'm sure there are other incidental costs.
Why not round it off to 1/4 Million$, $250,000
$250,000 birthday present from the taxpayer, not from the President.
That's only a years worth of foodstamps for 50 families.
No biggie.

The difference is that Laura Bush didn't spend our money hanging out with friends in Hawaii. That is what Obama said his wife is doing. It's her birthday gift .. to hang out with friends on our dime - separate flights as a 'birthday gift'. Laura Bush, on the other hand, attended functions and was involved ... not having 'birthday gifts' of separate unnecessary flights.

If someone finds where she did ... I'll be more than happy to nail her for that as well.

Googling .... looking .... finding some official trips that she included shopping in ... and brought the kids ... but I"m not seeing separate flights (paid for by the taxpayer) for 'hanging with the girls' as a birthday gift .. nothing like that. Maybe there is ... (probably is) ... but I'm not finding it.

At any rate ... that's past history.
THIS TRIP by Obama is just taking advantage of the taxpayer.

When Christie gets in and wastes our tax money on unnecessary crap,

Sure Michelle Obama does a lot of official traveling.
First ladies usually do.
But this isn't an official travel.
It's her taking separate flights .. in both directions.
Just so she can hang out with friends.
If she wants to do that ... fine.
But she should be paying for the extra expense instead of us tax payers paying for it.

If any one isn't mad about this they need to be willing to hand over 63k to you. Its said how small scale this is too compared the other budget mishaps and loses. Pretty sure something was posted that DHH wasted like 1.6 billion. Why the heck are we giving them money if they are just going to blow it. And to say they "deserve" vacation time, the average joe working the 9-5, gets 2 week vactaion max. And thats after you worked a year straight to build that up. O and you want to use it during a holiday?? LOL ya right should have asked for that last year. The president should get his vacation during the lame duck time when the previous pres is just killing time till the new guy/girl comes in. And they all do it, this isn't directed at the current pres, Bush may have been worse.

AND WHY ARE WE PAYING FOR THEIR VACATION IN THE FIRST PLACE!!!!
