Racist? Did you get that out of Oprah Winfreys play book? I see what you did there. I recently seen a video of AJ supporting Professor Griff from Public Enemy, a black man. So I gotta ask is he a part time racist or sometimes forgets he is racist? Is he racist by default because he is a conservative Texan? Lol

How is Jones a racist? From listening to his show one can come up with many things to accuse him of... but racism? Hmmmm, I don't think so.

Does this video prove he's a racist somehow? Inquiring minds may want to know.

Or is it that you just don't like Jones will call him every and any name in the book?

I think all intelligent people need to ask;

WHAT EXACTLY IS ALEX JONES DOING?

My own view is that he is fear mongering. He does it for money. He takes current conspiracy stories and exploits them to fantastical proportions. He does that with race, too. There is nothing healthy about that man. He is not a true journalist because he exaggerates everything to the point of it becoming a lie.

Yes, he will play on your fears and worries. He will make nightmares out of every scenario that passes through his media machine. He is no friend of mine. He is no friend of the U.S either because he is inciting anxiety, fear and a misdiagnosis of the U.S situation.

He is just more of the same.

Frankly, I find many people posting on ATS to be much more down to earth and better informed than anything on that disinfowars site.

If I could sum up infowars it would be this; it is fear mongering sensationalism that encourages social fracture.

I listen to his show almost daily. I spend a lot of time laughing at his antics and his temper but I have NEVER heard him say something I would consider racist. If anything he tries REALLY hard to NOT even give his haters ammunition to say that he is racist.

He often sheds light on what the government is doing (he thinks) to destroy the black community, how the government is using illegal immigrants for cheap labor, etc. etc. etc. If he was racist he wouldn't bring it up at all. He is also married to a Jewish woman, so I don't understand your argument.

If you want to address how he sometimes makes conspiracy theorists look like nutters by losing his temper, making the doom porn a little more "doomy", etc. then your argument may be slightly more valid.

But you are not looking at some of the stuff that has passed through his clutches!!!

FEMA death camps, impending martial law and don't forget the Y2K rubbish.

My conclusion; infowars is a tabloid for conspiracy theorists and survivalists. It feeds the illusion that you are in mortal danger and on the brink of martial law, economic collapse, etc. Do you really wanna wake up in the morning feeling all that?

There are real conspiracies. Yes, really bad things do happen. I choose to concentrate on those. I also make sure there is some reality to any journalist's or researcher's take on any given topic.

However, I understand these idiosyncracies of cultures and Alex Jones is one of those for the U.S.

He's entertainment. He hosts a show, then he tells those listening to do their own research. He loves the sensationalism no doubt but he's not responsible for anybody listening for more than entertainment.

In the end, none of that matters here, because none of that makes him a racist.

I get that Alex's Racism (or not) is on trial in this forum post. I just sit hear wondering why anyone would defend him though. Sure he might not be racist but the guy is a fraud, why defend a frauds good morals when he has bad ones that will hurt you in the end. You might find AJ entertaining but those of us who've researched his lies don't think it is. President Obama is considered entertaining to but we all know he has an agenda.

Alex Jones is not the leader of the free world. He is like a small town news anchor. You listen to them, but you don't take their word as God. There is where the difference lies. I am not defending his being a fraud or a liar, I am defending his title as entertainer. That's all. If people buy everything he is selling and live in fear, that falls on them IMO, not Alex. He is not promising anyone anything. He's an actor, an entertainer and should not be counted as more meaningful than anyone else.

I think we are disagreeing on semantics or at the very least we are classifying AJ completely different from one another.

I'm no expert on China, but in the last few months I've 2 recently published books the subject: On China, by Henry Kissinger and Wealth and Power, by Orville Scheller and John Delury.

I am thus more competent than the majority of people here to comment on this subject (no offence to anyone else )

What on earth would make anyone believe that the US would risk all that it has built, all that it has created, in a war against China?

In "The Revenge of Geography:", Robert Kaplan argues the importance of east asian shipping lanes to American economic hegemony. This is pretty much all the Americans are interested in: maintaining economic preeminence. This appears to have been American strategy to begin with. Japan, Taiwan, and the Philippines pretty much surround China. All 3 are economically and politically dependent on America for it's defence.

China's bustling Navy is designed to challenge this US blockade, but the Chinese know they are nowhere near powerful enough to challenge the US navy, with 10 or so nuclear powered aircraft carriers - compared to Chinas sole Russian restored aircraft carrier.

Besides this singular issue, I am almost positive positive that both China and America are more interested in economic and technological development, rather than going to war with one another. Just analyze the history of the two. Besides being economically integrated with one another, the Chinese really are making progress, albeit, very slowly, in advancing human rights within the country. Just a few weeks back Beijing announced that they were going to loosen the 1 child policy, as well as closing down the remaining forced labor camps. This is good no?

The Chinese are more practical than the Russians were, and the Russians were too aware of the consequences to go to war with the States. I imagine China would never be so reckless to sacrifice their development given that much of the worlds governing infrastructure that exists today - the UN, WTO, etc - is the product of American hegemony.

The world is already on a path that the Chinese have no choice but to merge with.
