K-MART ad says "THE END IS NEAR!"

This Sunday's Newspaper I noticed a rather alarming ad by K-MART. It's a NATIONAL circular ad that appears in Sunday Newspaper's all across the USA. Look closely - above the head of the girl in the "French Maid" Halloween Costume - there is a sign - IN ALL CAPS - that says: "THE END IS NEAR!"

Just a poorly put together ad graphic.. are you suggesting k-mart is delivering a prophecy? my guess is they just wanted to add a creepy element and failed ..

Also, $399 for a 46 inch LED isn't a bad deal!

I agree with Lady_T. I think that's a sign being held by the guy in the zombie costume.

One of our K-marts are closing their doors after 32 years of business....

Maybe it is claiming the demise of K-marts everywhere.

I agree with Lady_T. I think that's a sign being held by the guy in the zombie costume.

I don't care who's doing what - IT'S CREEPY for a MAJOR RETAILER to put something like this in the Sunday ad!

Does the term "Zombie Apocalypse" tell you anything? Then you would understand why the zombie holds the sign.

OMG your right, Kmart, being one of the smallest and worst retailers of the type, has the one up on the upcoming zombie apocalypse.

And chose a zombie halloween costume to warn us all, Quick grab the ammo before its to late the zombies are coming!

No I did look at the photo, and what I saw was a zombie type character holding a creepy sign. I think you are looking far too much into this.

(cant believe im doing this) but notice to the right of the maids neck you can see the zombies arm which is holding up the sign

I don't actually see the zombie holding anything. Besides, how many zombies stand around holding signs? I think they're usually more concerned with finding their next victim.

I'm just sayin'... it could be a subtle message.

The whole point is not who's holding what or who's dressed as what.

The whole point IS THE ACTUAL MESSAGE ITSELF (a message placed in newspapers throughout the entire country by a MAJOR USA NATIONAL RETAILER). It's just a bit weird... There's a lot of fear-mongering out there - and it's my opinion that KMART really doesn't need to be promoting fear to millions of sheep.

The END has, and always will be near.....I have seen many a homeless individuals holding signs stating this for years. I don not believe KMART is any more in the know than anybody else in the world.
