I'm just sayin'... it could be a subtle message.

On the bright side, the messenger is offering free layaway through Nov 23. We still have at least until then plus however long the layaway can be dragged out. Layaway terms on pg 4.

Waaahhh ! We in twwubblleee!

That's a cross between a grim reaper (hoodie) and a zombie!

I think its a marketing tactic by Kmart.
Someone working in marketing knows that
the whole end time, zombie apocalyptic scenario is
on the minds of folks right now. So to place such
a sign being held by this grim reaper/zombie was
a marketing tactic to draw in the masses.

It is at the same time depicting that the 50% off
sale is near an end. They want you to hurry
up and get off your lazy wahoo and get into their
store to buy your costume. A subliminal message
in hopes to make you feel the urgency of getting
your costume from them now... or you may loose
out on a good deal.

So you'd better hurry... you don't wanna miss
out on the mass frenzy of getting in there and
joining the rest of the zombies doing the zombie
shuffle of getting a deal.

I think the only message they are trying to get across is '50% off adult costumes'

but hey ho, each to their own.

www.kmart.com...

It appears as though the sign comes with the purchase of the costume.

Solved! But I have to admit, I think the OP might work for K-mart.. The French Maid talk drew me in, then the 46 inch LED for $399 got me thinking of shopping at K-Mart... Now, I'm considering the Zombie costume..

They could be a Kmart plant and it did get me to look at their website, but alas....I cannot buy the costume. It only fits guys up to 6' and 200 lbs.

That leaves me out.

Well, thank you for your research - I guess that settles it!

Since it's part of the costume - then we have absolutely nothing to fear. I think that's what I'll be for Halloween this year. A Zombie with a sign that reads, "THE END IS NEAR!".

Does the term "Zombie Apocalypse" tell you anything? Then you would understand why the zombie holds the sign.

I don't actually see the zombie holding anything. Besides, how many zombies stand around holding signs? I think they're usually more concerned with finding their next victim.

I'm just sayin'... it could be a subtle message.

Wow, some of you guys try WAYYYYY too hard to "find" hidden messages in things. First of all, it is a SMALL company ad. No one important in the company worked on that specific ad, so even if it was a hidden message (and it most certainly is NOT), it would have been someone in the marketing department throwing that in for who knows what reason.

The sign is obviously being held by the zombie. Have you never seen ONE horror movie, ever? Zombie apocalypse theme.

I mean really, I will never understand why some people are so obsessed with doom porn that they literally will turn everything into their life into some sort of sign that means the world is ending.

Scratch that, it doesn't even come with shoes or pants! How dare they lure me in and then not offer shoes and pants! What, am I supposed to do: walk around barefoot with no pants on? I don't think so!

I'm pretty sure you are the only person who didn't realize the sign was part of the costume.

Not trying to be mean, but it seems like lately there has been THOUSANDS of nonsense posts on this board and others trying to find doom out of every single thing they see.

edit: Also, what costume comes with shoes? Generally when you buy a costume, you wear your own shoes.

I think you kind of missed my whole point. I don't like all the endless doom & gloom. It's a form of fear mongering - from a company selling a costume - complete with a sign that reads "THE END IS NEAR!" I frankly, think it's creepy & disturbing for KMART to be involved in the fear porn business. But who the heck cares what I think. I'm just some as*hole on a conspiracy website.

I think that may be part of a costume,

being Halloween an all

A "French Maid" with a sign over her head that says THE END IS NEAR! You think that is part of her costume? You obviously didn't look at the photo.

No I did look at the photo, and what I saw was a zombie type character holding a creepy sign. I think you are looking far too much into this.

(cant believe im doing this) but notice to the right of the maids neck you can see the zombies arm which is holding up the sign

Doesn't the girl look like Kate Hudson?

It was from K-Mart that should have been the only thing you needed to know.

How could anyone think they would be in the know or be able to predict the future? It’s K-Mart if they had either of those ability’s it wouldn’t be K-Mart.

The company is hanging by a thread.

your not an 'a**hole', it's just that most people are looking at the ad a different way than you and seeing a creepy costume with a creepy sign that was undoubtedly thrown together for the mass market industry to sell halloween costumes, I doubt much thought went in to its manufacture.

Sorry if I came across as rude to you.
