yeah,

your argument isnt emotionally formed and based...lol

so you resort to an ad hominem attack about me rather than addressing the fact that DEHUMANISING someone ,as you are, based on their profession or anything really is wrong.

Sorry try again.

That entire little mess of a post is laughable. Was it fun for you? I am glad you are so involved and attracted to my post that you feel the need to fill your time responding to me....rather than addressing my point.

LOL.

That's because you haven't made a point.
You simply talked around it.

yes I did.

I will repeat it for you if you "just cant get it"....LOL

You should not dehumanise someone based on their profession.

That is wrong.

That is the sort of social programming mechanism that is used to make suffering less relevant to others because well, they arent people like us...right..

EDIT:
that is what you are getting at. They are cops and cops arent people like us...so their suffering isnt relevant to us...we should worry about MR.gang banger here that probably has a record full of VIOLENCE...because I fail to see how "normal" people who are freaking saints turn to shooting at cops....and then somehow merit more concern for their well being than those they hurt.

Reports are saying the robot entered the house and claim the man is barricaded in a room with furniture up against the door.

Not sure how the robot can see the furniture blocking a door as I imagine that the guy barricaded the door from the inside unless the robots have x-ray.

News just said that the FBI has the lead now.

Seems to me the police has shown a lot of restraint and not the cowboys some make them out to be.

No, I meant this is what the cops I used to know told me.
You say that's not the case.
I will still take their word for how it really works over yours.
Of the six I have known, they were all unanimous in this respect and only one wasn't eventually revealed as anything but completely dispicable. All had stories of routinely screwing over the public trust when it suited their purpose. Testilying or C.Y.A....whatever you want to call it. Not one cop isn't guilty of this.
So long as they have the thin blue line (which DOES elevate the police over the civilians they are sworn to protect) then they will continue do whatever they please.

that is what you are getting at. They are cops and cops arent people like us

I am not saying "they are not people".
I am not saying "they are not like us".
I am saying "This is what they're paid for."
(I will take real cops opinions on this rather than the "official tagline" on the various LEO websites.)
Like any job, it has it's perks and drawbacks and getting shot is just one of those drawbacks. I hear that the "perks" more than make up for that but power always was the great aphrodisiac.
Military pilots crash...EOD techs blow up...cops get shot.
End of story.

You know cops. I know cops....

what ever.

In the end I dont see how you can say that its not tragic when another person is shot.

as far as them walking the thin blue line.....well, I am of the opinion that certain people who use the law to their ends, and manipulate the system, and know all the loopholes to utterly screw over the rest of us out of real justice deserve to meet cops who will make sure they are in jail.

All I am saying is that unless you walk in their shoes, dont assume you know a damned thing about what they have to deal with and what their reasons are. If people like them didnt exist, as well as those "to the letter" cops, the world we know wouldnt exist. You do need both.

It is a little naive to think you dont. Sorry but this is the real world we are talking about. How many mobsters you think are in prison on tax evasion....tax evasion. I mean come on. You dont think they did far worse than that? They may have even paid their damn taxes! The point is some people operate above the law because they know their way around it....and you need to have a response. Especially in todays world of endless litigation and BS in defense of criminality and against the average person.

This is also entirely off subject as far as associating a vice you see in their modus operandi and their propensity for gunshot wounds....and how they are somehow more justified than gun shot wounds in others.

No cop sets out to get shot. They may have an advantage over others as far as surviving a situation like that, but at the end of the day it is a tragedy. You still cant work your way around that.

There are only two pieces of advice they unanimously gave me...ESPECIALLY the only decent cop:

1) Never turn your back on a junkie. This doesn't apply to me because I do not move in those circles.

2) If you are a civilian...YOU-CAN-NEVER-TRUST-A-COP.

I don't know about you or the particulars of your stomping grounds but where I come from, we do not hero whorship, idolize, mourn or miss people who can not be trusted regardless of profession.
Was it unexpected?
Perhaps...I don't have enough details on the situation to make that decision.
Was it unfortunate?
Perhaps...I don't have enough details on anyone involved to make that decision.
Was it tragic?
No.

by that logic they were telling you not to trust them.

I am sorry. You must have some crappy ass cops /people where you are from.

Here they are members of the communities they police. They grew up here, have friends and families here, and generally love their home and their people.

It is interesting you play the "hero worship" angle...very interesting.

SO if I was to go down that train of logic, you would be criminal worshiping by blindly discrediting the worth of the profession which is in direct conflict with that group.

It is dark logic in the strict definition of "dark logic" as it is self enforcing and a loop.

The more the cops do against criminals, the more unworthy they become, and thusly the more worthy of empathy criminals are...and so on.

I am leaning towards the fact that you are completely lying as far as actually knowing a single cop. Like are they people in your lives, or someone who gave you a light at a bar...that doesnt really count now does it.

If they told you "dont trust cops"...then either they were taken out of context, were not cops, or were drunk and messing with you. It just doesnt make sense.

So they outright told you in not so many words...we are drones, agents of evil...and dont trust junkies...lol

No. They are still regular people.

I have one question /s.

Do you insist on being given tickets and fines when breaking the law...no "break" for you since the law says that the infractions of which you know you are guilty of deserve the penalty or punishment they also describe?

Or do you accept what ever "break" you can get....only to criticize police officers as if they were minions of satan?

Also do you feel slighted when cops dont arrest every teen smoking pot and thus ruining their record, or when they dont fine businesses for infractions which could be in the many thousands of (insert currency)..

Or when they dont arrest skate boarders for trespassing? or what ever ILLEGAL thing we know is illegal...but do anyways..

They could....but they do tend to live and let live when you arent an asshat..dont they? Kind of like they look for bigger fish mostly? Keep the balance of peace every now and again? No?

I mean unless you are always engaged in illegal activities and have been "harassed" by them for not letting you continue your life of crime without interruptions.

If not I cant explain your sentiment for them...unless you are actually envious of them...which could be the case. I have seen it before. That is why I say this is all interesting to me.

And what does any of this have to do with this thread?
This thread is suppose to be about whats going on in this situation not what the police may have done in some other part of the country.

Is there a video around there of people brutalising others with extreme violence and degradation? and maybe a video of those people being confronted by cops....?

No, just one of a nurse...ok

I will just look up the statistics of violent crimes and those who were arrested. I would say cops do "SOME" good.

You know its not like you are shutting down child pornografy rings and hunting down murders...right? Youre a superhero and solve the problems of society by your "good"...?

Thanks.. I feel so much safer. could you swing my by neighborhood?

I almost never make predictions, HOWEVER....
I predict the "suspect" will never see the inside of a courthouse.
I am also sure the officers have been instructed to not say "Burn it down" over the radio.
I do not claim all cops are bad, but mob mentality applies to everybody, even cops.
I'd like to know why the ICE agent was involved though.
One thing I do know though, 1 guy neutralized 4 opponents, they messed up bad.

maybe this guy was the husband of that nurse that was beaten and arrested for doing her job......maybe he was a bit crankey and decided enough is enough and he was going to return the aggression ....

yes I know just conjecture....the police are out of control yet the media focus on an individual for his behaviour...why not the police?

on a side note tadaman you love to defend the corrupt police actions maybe you should leave the bottleshop and sign up for a job with your beloved boys in blue you seem to fit the profile......
