Ground Zero with Clyde Lewis is asking if we are in a sweeper mode/effect due to (his saying) 31 reported fireballs since Friday.. We had a thread about 3 over Japan alone last week starting on the 18th. Clyde is saying something is up.... When I checked for world wide reports of meteors they are showing 36 out of reported 61 sightings if I read the web sights correct?
search.yahoo.com...=A0oG7jIy.0BSNVwAT8tXNyoA;_ylu=X3o'___'EzdGZ2cmQxBHNlYwNzcgRwb3MDNgRjb2xvA2FjMgR2dGlkA1ZJUDI3MV8x/SIG=136i2ajri/EXP=1380 019122/**http%3a//lunarmeteoritehunters.blogspot.com/2000/11/meteor-fireball-report-form.html

Anyone more versed in this have something to add? Sweeper mode is when we pass through the tail of a celestial body... We did have an asteroid RZ53 pass between the moon and the earth on the 22d..
Maybe hype to make a show? ... I am listening now... There are reports from Puerto Rico which is a hot bed of fire balls and UFOs according to Clyde... Weird show or weird happenings? People are calling in and report more fireballs... Interesting show...

We had a green one fly from Sydney to Brisbane at about 10.30pm on Friday 20th September.

Is this the same one?
What makes it glow green?

The different colors are due to different substances burning upon reentry.. I think green means a higher copper content...

After Asteroid 2012 DA-14 had its close call with earth, we all can remember that while NASA scientists were high fiving themselves about how proficient they are at math and near miss trajectories Russia was not so lucky. The Chelyabinsk meteor shot across the Ural Mountains leaving an enormous trail of smoke. What started as a small light in the morning sky became a huge fire ball creating a blinding flash.

It was as if the Russians were going to be the first to experience the first indicator that the apocalypse was here. The force of the meteor was estimated to be the equivalent of 500 kiloton blast. It was surprising that no one died and that there wasn’t more damage.

Sweeper effects have been known to push space debris into earth’s atmosphere. There can be 300 to 400 pound pieces of space junk and rock that if they move fast enough can create several high level dangers forcing areas to go on alert. While there has not been a kiloton level event reported with space junk, the Russian skyfall of February 14th, 2013 could have been a sweeper event that created an explosion equivalent to a 300-500 kiloton nuclear bomb.

At first, the Russian Academy of Science estimated the object’s mass at about 10 metric tons. With more data in hand, researchers now say the object had a mass of 7,000 metric tons a diameter of about 50 feet.

however during the 36 hour period between Friday September 21st, and Sunday September 23rd there were at least 29 reports of fire ball and UFO activity in the United States.

Hmmm... I found this site to share. It might shed some more light on things. The way it reads, there are regular meteor showers of one sort or another. I mean actual named ones. I had no idea it was quite that common...

(Source: American Meteor Society)

They have a running total of reports on the upper right in a box too. Quite a high number here recently....but then, I don't watch this to know what normal looks like either. I'm adding it to my bookmarks tho.

Thanks for the share on all the activity!

S&F!
A small group of friends and I went camping end of Aug/ beginning of Sept down to the badlands, Dinosaur provincial park. We went on an adventure down to the hoodoos after dark, and lay to watch the sky.
It was a new moon, and not a single cloud. Crystal clear night, with the milky way directly above us, and the Northern lights to the right.
Anyways, as we're watching the stars, we all saw this fiery green flash, and all shouted out as it streaked by.

Interesting to read this now. Crazy stuff.

Thanks for the link Wrabbit. From Ground zero

An informant directed me to the Facebook page of radio host Andrew Alvarez Chardon who has been reporting to his audience that there has been increased military activity and UFO activity which he says appears to be a large blue object in the sky that is causing blackouts near the Bacardi Distillery. There are also reports of this type of activity and Military activity near Ponce. Observers saw armored vehicles being escorted by police to camp Santiago in Salinas.

Also a caller (truck driver) is now reporting from Ft. Smith Arkansas several more fireballs but also active law enforcement and military on the highway he is driving.... If true maybe just happenstance?

I saw a bright green meteorite once years ago; I looked into it because the color was so striking and it said that 'green' was very rare, which is pretty neat.

To answer the OP though, it seems like we're going thru a particularly dusty bit of space. Maybe the remote viewers and prophets will be correct and a big one is incoming, but every second of every minute of every day, we're going through brand-new space at something like 700,000 mph (?). As we circle the sun, the sun is circling the galaxy and all this space is new to us and uncharted as to it's contents. And there's probably a lot of unknowns waiting for us.

Yes I caught his opening just before I crashed for the night. Even though we are not suppose to be going through some meteor shower something has been going on for these last few days, IMO.

It's funny you mention that you researched green fireballs and found them to be rare because in the past year that these fireballs have been increasing (reports anyways) the most common color seems to be green. I found that strange as well.

The majority of light from a fireball radiates from a compact cloud of material immediately surrounding the meteoroid or closely trailing it. 95% of this cloud consists of atoms from the surrounding atmosphere; the balance consists of atoms of vaporized elements from the meteoroid itself.

That's from the AMS site. Fireball FAQ's

Only 5% of the light of the fireball comes from what makes up the meteor. Mostly it is nickel that causes a green color, but it's the gases in the atmosphere that are responsible for 95%, so what has made the rare green fireball become so common? That's the million dollar question.

Fireballs, comets and asteroids, oh my!

Fireballs! What could they possibly have to do with this theory about dangerous gases? To find out more about the dangerous gas theory, check it out in my signature below. Here’s what I think is happening in a nutshell. Methane has been rising at an alarming rate, more so over the Arctic Sea since August of 2010, which we already know traps much more heat from the sun when shortwave infrared attempts to escape the atmosphere but fails. Here’s the thing though, methane is rising high into the upper atmosphere where we can’t even detect it with our conventional methods. We don’t even know how much methane is in the upper atmosphere, which contains the mesosphere where meteors burn up. It’s this layer, the mesosphere, where we see the fast shooting stars on a clear night burning up as they enter the atmosphere.

I’ve been mentioning this fireball phenomenon on this thread since I first wrote it and I’ve even been interested in it as far back as October long before this large rock exploded over Russia on Feb. 15. In the beginning I wasn’t sure how methane levels could have any sort of effect on the fireball phenomenon except that maybe the atmosphere had been damaged somehow. It wasn’t until the massive explosion over Russia that injured over 1,200 people from shattered windows that I decided I really needed to look into this and see if it was possible.

Read more from the link. To sum up, meteors burn up in the mesosphere and currently, there are high levels of methane rising up to this level and we aren't even sure how much because we have no way to measure it that high. I believe that the methane in this level is damaging the atmosphere somehow and allowing these fireballs to reach closer to the surface. The methane gas is most likely causing the fireballs to burn green.

I got a link from on here , I think it could of been one of cheesy 's threads to a meteor sightings site and I noticed that there is stacks and stacks of sightings toward the east? coast side of America and all this talk of region 3 came to mind. Is that where region 3 is ?
I also notice all the reports on that site are either America ,England ,New Zealand, Australia ,is this because other countries don't report these things or is it just the west to cop it . only spec . 1%
The site is called The Latest Worldwide Meteor/fireball reports . Don't know how to link sorry.

Another thing that's been on my mind about the East Coast is that's where there are a lot of die-offs occurring such as the dolphins that continue to wash ashore, as well as a most of the sonic booms and sky noises that are being heard. Mostly in the Virginia area.

Thanks, appreciate it. Good to know someone is listening. As you can see most don't respond to my posts when it concerns these events and the possible causes being methane. It's a bit scary, I know. But it's necessary to take a look anyways.

Man has to be in control. It's to much to swallow if we're not. Just like the UFO phenomenon. It's hard to accept because man would have to admit that we may not be at the top of the food chain.

Here is a couple of good sites to bookmark

G7IZU Radio Reflection Detection
Shows meteors as they enter the atmosphere, I am not sure however what the different Hz (28 - 144) sizes mean in relation to size of the object. You can choose the location at the top for US, UK, Transatlantic, Africa All, and Far East and Oceania.

S.P.A.M Network
Shows meteors as they enter the atmosphere by size only, not sure how far the detection is able to reach.

NASA's All Sky Fireball Network
Actual captures of fireballs from various cameras from different locations in the USA

Maybe someone with more knowledge in this area could shed some light in interpretation of both tools?

American Meteor Society
to check if anyone else saw what you saw

And finally,

Is a Meteor Storm Brewing for May 2014??
On May 24, 2014, Earth will plow through a dense stream of dust particles shed by Comet 209P/LINEAR. Dynamicists think the crossing could result in an intense meteor shower - maybe even a "storm" - and North Americans will have front-row seats.
