As far as health, equality, and opportunity, they are sitting pretty. Black people have no more right to complain than the rest of us on that issue. Their struggle is over.

However, I do believe the exploitation of race ought to be mended.

When I clicked this thread, I thought it would be about healing folks from the emotional scars left by the Trayvon Martin case... but nope.

The exploitation of the Zimmerman trial riled up and hurt a lot of African Americans.

This was another distract & divide tactic used by our government... and Obama didn't do anything but pour salt in the wounds. Trayvon Martin could have been me! Boo hoo!

African Americans need to start waking up as well as the rest of the sheep.

Upon further examination of the Zimmerman trial, it should outrage African Americans, but not because Martin was an innocent kid. Because their heritage is being used as ammunition in an attack, an emotional, psychological attack on the whole of society, to divide the population with petty problems, and to distract us from recent issues, like the NDAA being re-legalized...

If you want to heal the African American people, introduce them to some alternative media sites.

Tell them to make an ATS account.

Tell them to watch the Boondocks, and pay close attention to Huey Freeman.

Its a great show, really. Its really retarded and stupid, but its also hilarious and brilliant, and Huey makes the show worth watching.

The people of our inner cities don't need riots, they don't need drug lords, they don't need gun fights, they need Healing. They need love.

Sorry, but you sound rather 'Pollyanna' to me. The people (ALL people, not just black people) of our inner cities need to make better personal choices ... mothers stop having baby after baby and not knowing who the father is ... fathers stop having baby after baby and not having the financial means to support them ... stop joining gangs .. stop doing drugs ... stop calling people in school who speak English correctly 'not black enough' ... stay in school ... stop shooting each other and stop beating each other and stop disrespecting each other .... stop listening to that dang ignorant disrespectful rap that pounds into their heads hate and mistreatment of women ... and for god's sake, pull up the pants so they aren't tripping over them dangling below their butts, no one is going to hire a person to work for them if they can't even walk because they can't dress themselves ... etc etc. ALL personal choices.

I don't often agree with Bill O'reilly, but in this case I do - O'Reilly You Tube Statement

We have have HAVE to find a way to reach out to these people as a nation.

Go ahead. They'll bite the hand that feeds them. Literally.

Black people are suffering from PTSD?

Hardly, and as a combat veteran who has been diagnosed with actual PTSD I find it laughable that you would say such a thing.

If they suffer from anything, its from being their own worst enemy. statistically speaking, a young black male is FAR more likely to be killed by another young black male more than the cops or any white people.

This is not a white persons problem to help the black community anymore than it is to help the hispanic or asian communities. Not anymore. They must do that for themselves.

Since you want to "reach out" to them, why not be the one to start it? Maybe you should move to a black neighborhood, put your kids in black schools, and walk to work through a black community so you can get to know the locals.

Newsflash.

America is now a multiracial nation. The divide is not white versus black. And as the Zimmerman trial reminds us, it is no longer a nation where most of the authority figures are white males. We saw a female judge, a female jury, and an Hispanic guy in confrontation with a black kid. today those of different racial pedigrees and genders interact in ways that transcend the supposed culpability of white males.

you're missing the point.
you're asking people who have generational, systemic, emotional and mental trauma, to think and behave like people who don't.

p.s. i already said this is not a white problem. it's not a racist or reverse racism issue. it's an issue of what happens when people are generationally impoverished.

So because you witnessed PTSD symptoms in your husband you feel as though you can diagnose an entire race with it?

It can also very easily be argued that these "PTSD symptoms" are also symptomatic of a very dysfunctional society, not trauma.

You say this:

i already said this is not a white problem. it's not a racist or reverse racism issue. it's an issue of what happens when people are generationally impoverished.

But then have this in your OP.

We have have HAVE to find a way to reach out to these people as a nation.

Along with a giant banner that says We love African American people, signed the white people of america.

Why is it African american? These people are not from Africa at all. They know nothing of Africa. That's like me calling myself a European American.

I refuse to apologize for something that I and my ancestors had absolutely no part in.

MUCH of it is through their own poor choices. Read my previous post.

Women - Stop having baby after baby and not knowing who the father is. No one is forcing these women to copulate with man after man after man. It's their choice.

Men - Stop having baby after baby after baby and not have the financial or emotional means to take care of them. No one is forcing them to do this. It's their choice.

Stop making babies when you can't afford to feed the ones you have.
Stop doing drugs. It's their choice.
Stop beating each other up and stop shooting each other. It's their choice.
Stop abusing people who speak correct english. Its their choice.
Stop joining gangs. It's their choice.
Stop listening to disgusting racist and violent 'music' but instead lift your spirits with other things. It's their choice.
Stop being used by the race baiters. It's their choice.
Stop dropping out of school and/or stop disrupting children who want to learn in school. It's their choice.

read my prior post to you. you can't expect a person functioning with mental and emotional trauma, to behave the same as someone else. this is the big elephant in the room everyone is trying to ignore.

Rockpuck. I would add a little to your post, but it needs nothing. Consise & to the point. But that demographic of our society will be the way they are 50 generations into the future. Some want let it go ever.....and they spread that mindset to their offspring, who repeat the process with their offspring, etc, etc, etc. That demographic of our society is the main reason racism is alive and well in their own community......It will never end, ever.

i didn't ask you to apologize. i asked everyone (that includes other races as well but because the focus appears to be on the word "white") to heal the thing by admitting that they care about and love the black americans. okay?

you're missing the forest for the trees. they aren't letting it go because they don't know how to, they have few other options available to them and the pressure is on, internally, to continue the trauma.

They aren't letting it go because they don't WANT to. They are addicted to mindless hate.
And no one can help someone until they WANT to be helped. That's just the way it is.

they have few other options available to them

they make their own bad personal choices.
(example - have sex with strangers and use no birth control? That's a personal choice)
The tools are in place to help many of these people. But they don't WANT it.

and the pressure is on, internally, to continue the trauma.

Self induced. The race baiters should take responsibility for adding to this.

Its a little bit of both.

Dependance on Welfare keeps them from advancing, at the same time saying slavery has nothing to do with their current status is plain horseshtz.

Many other slave from different races have had time to advance(300-400 yrs), blacks are the recent slaves, equal opportunity was like 80yrs ago, might be less?

How your great grandfather lived affects the way you live today.

Genetics, Nutrition, Behaviour, and wealth.

I must disagree with the bulk of your points.

Here in NC, I have done contracted maintainance work in communities of brick ranch houses, two or more cars or trucks in the drive, well kept lawns... and most all were owned by black families. Despite what the media portrays, they worked with white people... all got along fine. Some even attended the same churches, joined the same social groups, even hunted together.

Our team would be trimming trees and maintaining right of ways, and these people would come out and offer us ice water to refresh us.... even offfer us sandwiches as a thank you for cleaning up their yard so well after we were done.

In talking to them, mature adult African Americans, they told of the work and careers, their past... their was no overt animosity... no bias... just a regret that everyone couldn't just get along.

And even they recognised the difference between their belief system and the" young punks" ...Their words, not mine... that were distorting all the things they had worked so hard for in the 1950s and 60s and 70s.

Healing is not what is needed, but education as to what it means to be a man or a woman and meet the challenges of life when it gets hard, not look for help or a handout and blame someone else for your poor decisions.

As one black gentleman told me as we talked in his driveway after he came home from work that afternoon... "They need to learn that anything worth having has to be worked for."

Obama did all of those things, and most right-wingers here don't give a damn. he succeeded by reaching the highest position in our country. they call him a liar, a Kenyan, a communist, a socialist, the N-WORD, they even want to impeach him,....but...he succeeded far beyond what any white American (not counting the other white presidents) has accomplished ....so....tell me, if this is the way a black man is treated who has reached the pinnacle of success, how do you think society treats blacks that are just ordinary?

The race baiters should take responsibility for adding to this.

that's one of my points. the globalists are using a group of severly traumatized people, to traumatize everyone else., including each other.

the only solution i can see, to begin the healing, is for everyone to side step the race baiters and enmasse, profess their concern and love for black americans (and hispanics too, and native americans, and chinese americans, etc)

People call Obama a liar because he IS one. Some people say he is probably a Kenyan because he COULD be one (just like some people on the left said Bush43 was AWOL during Vietnam because he COULD have been). Many people call Obama a communist or a socialist because many of the things he does in policy point in that direction. And a lot of people want to impeach him ... but a lot of people wanted to impeach Bush43 as well. It's politics ... not race. As for calling him the N-Word ... sure some people might say that (I've never heard it said), but a whole lotta' black people called Bush43 a cracker .... so what?? You are attempting to bring race in where it doesn't belong.
