It's called having common sense as most of the time those most obsessed with other peoples money are the ones who don't have it.

That may explain your obsession in this matter but it seems to me that the people who are most obsessed with other peoples' money are the ones that already have most of the world's money.

Her money was ostensibly legitimate. What is the pretext used by the police for confiscating it, that she might have done a drug deal? Stop that stupid war.

Actually no it doesn't as I have said time and time again Don't give a crap how much someone makes that is on display in the political madness forum and the 'wall street and evil bankers' political machinations that endlessly get repeated.

No one knows that million was legitmate a judge ruled there was a lack of evidence to tie to narcotics.

So that doesn't mean it was legal just they had nothing she lucked out.

First of all I enjoy your posts. But are you saying that a stripper can't make 1000000 bucks in 15 years. That's 66k a year. Completely doable. Maybe not the stripper but the income is for exotic dancers/ escorts he'll some even make 100k+ a year places like Vegas.

Here's the deal. This girl had no evidence against her. State couldn't provide it. So she walks free with the money.

Zimmerman had no evidence against him. State couldn't provide it.So he walks free.

The guy in Wis. had no evidence to back up his claims, now is pleading mental incompetance, but still given life inprisonment.

That is how the law works.

Personnally, I think she should invest it in real estate.

The real deal?

Someone who says carrying 1 million in cash in their trunk is sketchy needs to be argued with.

Dunno why that is.

The Police acted like they normally do with speeders and those who lie saying 'theres no large sums of cash here'.

That gave them probable cause if the drug runners didn't do it maybe other people wouldn't get hassled.

To repeat once again she sounds like a crook.

She did not try to apply the Jedi mind trick. 'theres no large sums of cash here'.

Does it sound shady...of course it does. But it doesn't mean shes guilty. And she was found not such by the court.

You're starting to sound like a liberal here. No offense, I believe those are fightin' words to you.

But if the court says she keeps it, then she keeps it.

Once again the court 'found no evidence to tie to narcotics' that does not mean it wasn't shady.

They are so irritated with this thread right now I am walking away for the continued crap for stating an opinion like anyone else.

Your stated opinion is valued by me. I know that sounds lame. But you seem to be responding emotionally rather than rationally in this case.

1 million? Was it shady…maybe, who knows? Only the girl does. Sound familiar?

I watched the Zimmerman trial and was wincing at the “evidence” provided by the state against him. I thought it was a fair trial and verdict.

But now we have a similar incident, though no death involved, and it’s different? It went to court and she was found not complacent in any wrongdoings.

Do I think that she was dumb for keeping that kind of cash on her? You betcha! But everybody is a bit different from the other.

One other thing. I guarantee that the Feds will be watching her like a hawk. One small slip and she’ll be through.

What does a story about a stripper carrying a million in cash have to do with the Zimmerman case? That is the second post you made in this thread referencing Zimmerman, no one has bitten, and you keep bringing it up.

..... why was she just driving around with all the moola.... I get it, it's hers and she earned it 1 dollar at a time, but why are you driving around with over a million bucks.... what if your car got stolen, or she got in an accident. Then it'd really be gone.
yeah
that was my first thought,. she must be a little off in the noggin

It was a comparison, nothing more. Many think Neighborhood Watch = Good guy vs. Stripper = Bad Girl.

But the results were pretty much the same when you boil it down. Lack of evidence equals freedom.

But as I also said earlier, I think there may be more to this story. But the court has ruled so we may never know.

Good for her!

I worked with a girl years ago who saved her money from dancing and retired a millionaire at 30. She worked 6 days a week and traveled the country following various circuits like racing and golf. She danced for 10yrs and filed taxes and did everything legally with her money, now she is retired and doesn't have to work again!

Dancing can be very lucrative if you save and know where to work but most do not save the money and many don't travel. It's cash and it comes fast so you tend to have the mentality of, "oh I'll just work tomorrow and get more."

I danced for a short time but I never traveled and I didn't work all the time. I didn't really like the job so I only worked when I needed. It was a job and it paid the bills. I didn't do anything illegal. To me it was like acting in a sense. I was playing a part of my stage name. That person was a fun partier where the real me is far from a party person. lol I would much rather sit at home that be out drinking by my alter ego as I called it was a partier and loved to hang but only at work. It was part of the job to me and in a way it was the only way I could be at work was to be someone else and "party" while i was there.

Anyway cops taking money from dancers does NOT surprise me! We had some cops here who were stalking the parking lot of the club I worked at and when the club closed they were pulling dancers over and demanding their money or they would arrest them for DUI or some other bogus charge. It got really bad and eventually it stopped. I do not know what happened to the cops involved but I know a few girls who were affected by this and it was not a good situation. I know of two girls this happened to who never drank, ever. They drank water yet were harassed and threatened with DUI. The same thing happened to me with a cop here but he wasn't demanding money just telling me he could arrest me on DUI. I wasn't drunk nor had I been drinking but that is an entirely different thread in itself. The girls I know that this happened to handed the money over out of fear and one never came back to work after that. She went to a different club in another county she was so freaked out. If this had happened to me I would have rolled my window up and called 911 and reported it and asked for another cop to come.

I'm glad she got her money back and good on her for working and saving all that money but damn she should be careful with that much cash!

You're welcome lol As for this chick carrying this much in cash well nobody said strippers were smart and hell I was one! Some are smart but honestly the majority I have encountered over the years were lacking common sense. Sweet as can be and good people but no common sense. I can't tell you how many I know that flushed or threw away their money. Personally I don't even like to carry more than 100 bucks on me but that is me. I always put my money in the bank or on my prepaid VISA I had while i danced. I didn't like having lots of cash on me. I was always worried it would get stolen or I'd lose it.

HAHA! Well I have a 7wk old who takes up all my time right now and my kitchen is packed. We are moving Saturday! I have missed cooking and can't wait to move so I can cook again. Ordering out sucks esp when the menu sounds good then you get the food and it's disappointing. The last part of my pregnancy I couldn't even stand and my rolling chair in the kitchen didn't help at that point so cooking was out of the question lol. I rolled around in that chair as long as I could til walking to the kitchen became a chore lol My husband did all the cooking the last couple weeks of my pregnancy, thank god he can cook! I also helped by telling him how to cook or writing recipes down for him. lol Having someone in my kitchen was hard!! I am very OCD about the kitchen and it was like someone invading my personal happy space. The kitchen is my man cave! I need to be back in my man cave! It's my zen area!

Not even close, only place that might even come to that is Vegas or some High end club, but they don't deal in $1's.

That stripper was most likely a mule carrying that cash for something else, rather sure it was not a 'club'.

Strip clubs are one of the best places for money laundering either way I doubt her story.

Not to mention she needs the skills that pay the bills and the right look. Not anyone can be a stripper...

She better be glad she didn't pass through Tennessee or otherwise she would have got all of that money taken and never return.

Very true!! That happened several times that I know of when I lived there. As far as I know the people involved NEVER got their money back. Its sick.

Since when is it a crime in the United States to drive around in a car with cash in it? Is it also illegal, in some way, to have large amounts of cash in your house?

That is, if a cop were to come to your house and found you had $50,000 between your mattress and box spring...can he arrest you and confiscate your money without any other evidence of a crime having been committed?

And...on what basis do the authorities in Tennessee not return money to people if there is no evidence of a crime (therefore, this would be illegal search and seizure).

I don't get it...

365 days x 15 years =5,475 potential work days

1,074,000 dollars / 5,475 days = $196 a day.... Not accounting for tax

I can't say I have ever spent any amount of time in a strip club, but logic tells me she would have to be one hell of a good stripper to pull that kind of cash every day for 15 years. Maybe she started young?

Agree.

Most "Strippers" are on something. NO WAY she saved all her money.

What 's screwed up is that the cops took the money under suspicion. Regardless how or where the money came from, that's still eff'd up.
