Ape-like feet 'found in one in 13 humans'

I know, it kinda freaked me out when I first saw this, was on some or other TV documentary on African Tribes many years ago when I was still a child, but when I read your thread it was the first thing that came to mind!
As a matter of fact I googled it first because I had an idea that the Ostrich People may just have been the result of my overactive imagination 40+ years ago! I was quite chuffed when I saw that it was real!

I've had the word "Ape" on the top of my avatar for quite some time now. Maybe all the flexible feet-people can band together and......dance!

Maybe this will help explain why some these people also drag their knuckles.
I have a neighbor who can almost do this.
Her hands reach almost to her knees while standing upright.

Now, if she only had 5 very tall sons with the same trait, she could get an NBA franchise.

I'm in the US, but I'm part Native American, heavily Scotch-Irish, some Danish and probably a little German in there too.

Oh, and the left foot looks like my mom's feet and the right looks like my dad's.

I have been looking it up and it is called Mortons Toe.

It also says it is associated with the Celtics which is more likely for me.

I read the Wiki and it said it can result in painful conditions.

LOL, it's pretty cool that you kinda inherited one foot from your mom and one from your father, LOL. I am a HUGE mix of nationalities/races...French, Cherokee, British, Irish, Scottish, Roma, Spanish, Italian, Russian, etc etc etc. And I came out with Egyptian feet somehow, LOL.

That's interesting. I have something similar, except mine is mostly evident by my excessively long and dexterous toes.
