Good morning all! I signed in this morning just to say hi really fast.

Yes, Night star, we keep everything that we catch. We fish all summer for salmon and halibut to fill up a smaller deep freezer. We also fish for trout and dolly varden year round. The boys love ice fishing too. Those we eat fresh. Fish is a large part of our diet all year. Then come early summer, I clean last years salmon out of the freezer and smoke and can it. My brother always sends me back empty jars with the promise that I will send them back full again.

I hope everyone has a great weekend! I know it will be crazy around here. I also found out last night that an old friend is bringing another old friend to my house this weekend the same day as the boys' party. I can't wait. It's been years since I have seen her.

Cody Darling, you do realize having a hook through your mouth is painful right? Poor little fishies. That's ok I love ya anyway.

Thanks for the well wishes for Mark. He has non-hospital merca and blood poisoning they are working on but he is still in a lot of pain, can't eat much and has had diarea for like 6 days now. They are taking other tests and xrays. Could be this, could be that, could be cancer... blah blah blah. I know they have to rule all kinds of things out and these things all take time, but to see him suffer all the time is horrible.

Thing is...he is diabetic, has high blood pressure, high cholesterol, potassium too high, sometimes iron too high. For a while he had to have blood taken out because of the high iron content. He literally has to avoid a lot of healthy foods like veggies and fruit. Poor guy has lost a leg to diabetes and is always facing one thing or another. I'm a nervous wreck and so worried. He is always a challenge to doctors and have a team trying to work things out right now.

Please pray or send good vibes or whatever for him. I am just so sad and scared right now.

Ed; A couple of years back, we had some locals fishing for Great Whites off the beach.

They mounted a game fishing chair to the bullbar of an FJ40 cruiser, then one of the boys would swim
the bait out past the first set of breakers.
Quite often they'd hook up before the "bait man" returned to shore !

This has since been banned ... lol
