Hello again!...And heres picture of the day for everyone
....

Photographer Rolf Maeder managed to capture multiple lightning strikes hitting the Grand Canyon under atmospheric stormy skies. A long exposure made it possible to catch two lightning bolts with one shot. The foreground was light-painted with a flashlight by his friend Scott. The image was shot from Moran Point on the South Rim of the canyon.

Doc that is just beautiful!
I've been to the Grand Canyon a few times. It is very rare for a photographer to capture it's true beauty- this one somehow managed to do it though!

Thanks for sharing!

Good Morning from New England! Nice sunny but chilly Autumn day. Still plenty of colorful leaves on the trees, though some are losing theirs quickly.

Hubby has been in the hospital for almost a week now.
Hope he can come home soon.

Do you folks eat the fish you catch or just do it for sport?

I love Halloween and seeing all the houses decorated this time of year.

Have a lovely day everyone!

Good morning! Pretty falling leaves!

It has always been my philosophy that if you catch or kill a living thing it should only be for the purpose of eating what you kill. Yeah, it's fun to hunt and fish, but it shouldn't be done merely for sport. Just my 2 cents!

Hope you have a great day!

Tag and release - if not too weakened.

Even better - Shoot them with a DSLR !!

If you are hungry - or your pets - take only what you need; waste nothing ...

( and be merciful as to how you kill your catch )

My positive thoughts go out to you and your hubby Night Star hoping that he will be home soon.

Sorry if i haven't been around here for a while but running arround like a blue arsed fly right now and also responding to Codys thread about our mmet up last summer... for info, tonight is the attack of the killer gerbils.

So, without any further ado here is a cheesy song for you all to lighten up the day/efternoon/evening :

Kindest respects

Rodinus

I fish for sport,
I have an allergic reaction to fish so I can't eat them.
It's strictly catch and release around here.

Or as my friend so succinctly put's it

The triumph of optimism over reality.

It keeps me in touch with my inner self and nature.

Although I do snaffle the odd fish for the wife when I can guarantee the water is clean .

I have no qualms about it.

I figure if in a river full of thousands of fish, I only get to out smart 1 or 2

They deserve the Darwin award

We don't do Halloween in a big way here so it'll be a couple of kids that bothered to make an effort that score big time, and good luck to them.

As for hubby, he'll be OK Night Star. For sure you miss him so take the positive from it.

You have Night Star time, t'is a rare thing, try to appreciate it and use it wisely

To each his own Cody.....
What's right for me isn't the end all/be all of the world. Everybody has the right to live in the way that feels right to him/her. Go catch fish for fun if you like!

You got lucky this time, but I've got my eye on you young man!
