Study: Fukushima Radiation Has Already Killed 14,000 Americans

Ha, did you even READ this "Study"?

Get back to me when you do.

They looked at the total Deaths in the United States, and saw 14,000 people more than last years average, and automatically went "HURR DURR MUSTA BEEN FUKUSHIMA!"

IT really is a pathetic piece of "Research"

Unless you think that Fukushima Radiation is making people crash their cars?

Potassium-40. Is a natural thing.

So is Tritium.

DUHRRRR

When you find Caesium-137, iodine-131 and a host of others in bananas, then we can talk

I'm sorry, but I was under the impression that OP was discussing Tritium...

I have this assumption, from the part of OP's post that said:

Tritium leaked from 4 of 7 reservoirs, “1,100,000,000Bq/m3 from reservoir No.1″

And:

About the major leakage of highly contaminated water, radioactive water Tritium was detected outside of 4 of the 7 reservoirs.

According to Tepco, Tritium was detected from the drain hole water (outside of the reservoirs) of reservoir No.1, 2, 4, and 6.

The samples were collected on 4/17/2013. Tepco took 8 days to release the data.

Tepco transfered the leaking water from No.3 to No.6, but this No.6 is also leaking Tritium.

They also detected Tritium from leakage detector hole water of 3 reservoirs, No.1, 2 and 3.

The highest reading was 1,100,000,000 Bq/m3 from the Northeast side of No.1.

Where exactly did you see Caesium and Iodine in the OP?

Hey guys, I made this little picture for you...

Let's just say that you INSPIRED me:

I call it "Assault Radiation"

What do you think?

IT's meant to depict a parallel to the knee jerk hysteria whenever someone mentions "Radiation" in tones of fear, without even understanding the basic nature of Radioisotopes, Dosage, Decay products, Half-Lives, Half Value Thickness, Alpha, Beta, Neutron, Gamma, Physics, etcetera....

Point taken...but do you think they have scrubbed everything else out of that water? You might try reading the big fukushima thread here to get a bit of history of tepco and these leaks.

But since you brought up bananas, also not in the OP ..that opened the door..

Did you have a specific argument... a refutation of anything I said?

Or were you content just saying that I sounded like ann coulter?

No, I don't believe that they have scrubbed everything out of the water.

Do you know how much Radioactive Uranium is Naturally in the oceans?

But since you brought up bananas, also not in the OP ..that opened the door..

I was responding to the person who said that ANY radiation was bad.... with bananas.

So you say this people are pathetic, what you think that you are huh ??

YOU STILL HAVE NOT EVEN READ THAT STUDY

I'll give you a hint... your STUDY is NAMED:

AN UNEXPECTED MORTALITY INCREASE IN THE UNITED STATES FOLLOWS ARRIVAL OF THE RADIOACTIVE PLUME FROM FUKUSHIMA: IS THERE A CORRELATION?

They didn't even do Radiological studies on anyone.

It's not a study, it's idle speculation.

Seriously, READ it for YOURSELF.

And here you go

As with all ionizing radiation, exposure to tritium increases the risk of developing cancer.

EPA.gov

Yes you have sure educated us...we all know it is a low risk...but with the amount released to date and for the next 50 years...nothing to worry about! Thank you so much for sharing with us..I feel much safee now...

Hey have you ever considered going and helping them start with clean up? Should be easy

Does Banana related Potassium-40 create Ionizing radiation?

Hey have you ever considered going and helping them start with clean up? Should be easy

So, let me get this straight... You are confusing my attempt to education you people as to the REALITY of radiation, as opposed to letting you persist in your knee jerk "OH GODZILLA" reactions to Radiation...

And you think that I am saying that there is no amount of radiation that is deadly?

I think it's quite absurd that every time I try to educate you people about the FACTS of radiation, you all think I should just *DIE*

How noble of you

Yup...whats your point? Because k-40 is safe it all must be safe?

Hey I give up...it's all good for us!

Like I said it doesn't matter anymore..

Because k-40 is safe

You see?

This is exactly my point.

Potassium 40 is *NOT* safe.

It's RADIOACTIVE.

IT produces IONIZING RADIATION.

And yet, millions of people still eat bananas, and they don't magically die from it.

You people need to learn about the concepts of effective Dose.
