It would be very sad if this event was turned into ammunition for the islamophobic xenophobes

Yes Islam has its bad apples but so does every group in society.

We should be discussing these events and not the religion on the men who committed these horrible acts.

We don’t even know for sure if it was motivated by a twisted violent Islamic ideology.

So rather than people using this as a excuse to bash some Muslims we should be discussing this extraordinary events taking place in Boston today.

1 million people at home because a guy is on the run? If they would do that here everytime a person is missing we would stay indoors forever.

What is so hard to understand about this?
The guy is suspected of murdering a least 5 innocent people, including an 8 year old child. He's built bombs, shot at police, and run over his own brother to escape.

It's astounding anyone can think this is an overreaction. You cannot have hundreds of thousands of people roaming the streets while you have a violent terrorist running around with guns and bombs

I like how you get stars for misquoting people. Since you won't fix it ill clear it up:

"You clearly have to experience some time out of your country then. Here in Brazil this is almost a weekly occurance on big cities. To be honest, i think you're overreacting to this. I can find people on my neighbourhood more dangerous than this guy.

I understand your situation there but, again, i live in Brazil. People killing each other is, unfortunately, something normal around here."

I'm sorry that its a normal occurance for you to have bombings in your streets and 1 million people sheltered in place on a weekly basis.

Come on!! You seriously think people are overreacting to this situation? No they're not. This is not a normal occurrence or something thats acceptable here in the US."

Next time get your fact straight sand don't misquote me!!

Thanks for the update.

I'm listening to seven cities radios right now so it's hard to keep up with all of them.
edit on 4/19/2013 by mikelkhall because: (no reason given)

Sorry, just had to lighten the tension a bit....

What is that in the air?

Also, this appears to be right next to/at where they thought they had suspect #2 holed up at several hours ago.

The second one did not get there before it was said that it was not needed. They have more than just EOD on the guy now, seems that there is no longer (or never was, not sure) any danger.

Okay..... And the installment of the Shah in Iran...? Might it have been a trigger? Or the establishment of the state of Israel on arab soil? Hm?

Just stick with the history you need for your position. Ignore all the rest.

You pull the most irrelevant part of my comment out and criticize it.

Hope that made you feel real cool.
