I hate Roundup. Its a defoliant. It was used in Vietnam to kill whole jungles. Killing whole jungles. That'll fix the climate. Wish the debate about climate change focused more on deforestation than "melting ice".

That is the root of all the earths problems. If we kill all the green stuff, we can't breathe.

Roundup used to contain Dioxin. Now its something called Glyphosate? What the hell is that?

Oh, its bad for you.

Roundup

Great post Intrptr,

And, as if the Glycosphate is not bad enough, they want to start using
2, 4d as all of the bugs and worms are now resisitant to RoundUp.

The point you have made about deforestion, if they really were concerned
about AGW, that would be the first thing that would go....

Wow. What makes you think those concerned with the environment can only focus on one thing? To assume we don't care about pollution or Monsanto et al is ludicrous and probably about as disingenuous as your quoting from an article that explains where the missing heat went and making it appear as if it stated something it didn't. Which by the way, you should re-read as it does in fact state that there's both model and observed data to confirm that the heat is lurking below 700m.

Your climategate is a farce, only proving how low people will stoop to discredit a need to reduce our GHG emissions, by taking snippets out of context and putting them in sinister context, when anyone that cares to can read the full emails and see the assertions made against climate scientists are fabrications. Good job on supporting the real NWO though, the real PTB... the fossil fuel industry and shame on you for baiting a new member into getting banned. This isn't an ego contest, it's supposed to be a discussion.

I can't help but admire a really old tree. It stands forever absorbing carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and adding this to its limbs. This process never stops. The tree just adds more wood to support itself. The oldest, largest, living things on Earth. If we could focus on increasing the amount of carbon sequestration by adding more forest, the whole green house gas emission complaint would have to go away.

I don't hear that from the global warming camp though? Maybe I am mistaken.

Very good observation there intrptr,

Perhaps that just is too simple for them? I am certainly against
the deforestation, especially the way it is conducted.

The most logical thing the AGW congregation (general term and not directed
at any person) suggests is painting rooftops white,
but that would only really help if there is actually AGW, which
is still a young theory.

I love trees too, especially the old ones.

ETA: The term "congregation" is appropiate, especially considering that the
the three major religious groups have united under the common cause of
AGW, even though its just a theory.

www.abovetopsecret.com...

I am sorry if one is offended at this use of the term, but it is appropriate considering.

Carbon sequestration is a major focal point for us in the 'AGW crowd'.
You're absolutely correct we need more ways to sequester, since we're cutting down the amazon at breakneck speed, it's more important than ever.

Here's an article talking about new forest and it's ability to sequester carbon. Sustainable development can do a lot to mitigate global warming. But we can't talk about that either without someone freaking out about Agenda 21.

Thanks for the link. Yah, I get that. People are passionate about this subject. It brings out the best and worst. What happened with the new member was not BTS "fault", by the way.

It's not an appropriate term, there is no AGW Deity to pray to or worship, we don't have a religious fellowship. And are you seriously going to be so rude and egotistical as to not address me or reply directly to me? What are you afraid of in having a discussion with me?

The three major religious groups agree on a lot of other things as well, does that make everyone a religious fanatic about something? What about atheists that know AGW is reality? What about people of other faiths?

Gravity is a theory. Relativity is a theory... there's lot's of theories that are accepted as scientific fact, AGW is one of them.

You are incredibly mistaken, and also incredible ignorant.

The level of deforestation has been huge topic for decades. Only a troglodyte would suggest that the issue has not been raised in relation to AGW.

Maybe mistaken?
Totally mistaken.
You know MAYBE, the reason you haven't heard it, is because you are not listening.

Here you go, just a quick search and you questioning is answered!
next.upi.com...

Shattered by a spike in devastating natural disasters, the Philippines has announced a new weapon in its fight against climate change impacts: trees. The government intends to get 1.5 billion trees planted nationwide in a bid to adapt to a future climate rife with powerful storm surges and havoc-wreaking typhoons.

news.ontario.ca...

Ontario planted the eight-millionth tree today as part of a commitment to plant 50 million new trees to help fight climate change and grow a greener, cleaner province.

What is even more amusing is the OP's reply to your post.

Very good observations?

Perhaps its too simple?

Awesome OP, two seconds of research would have answered both yours and intrptr questions. But then again you wouldn't have been able to add in snide suggestions and innuendo. Which is all deniers really have at the end of the day.

When I first heard the words "the science is settled" I immediately smelled a rat. Science is NEVER settled if it is truly science, the first virtue of which should be always "challenge your findings". Why people refuse to believe that science could become an arm for propaganda never bothered to learn the eugenic roots of National Socialism. No person or group should be beyond questioning or reproach. Those responsible for foisting the MMGW agenda on the world deserve deportation to Venus, a place where their wildest estimations might resemble reality. Nice find BTS and as always thank you.

Science is NEVER settled if it is truly science

So we shouldn't be settled on Gravity or Relativity etc..?

the first virtue of which should be always "challenge your findings".

Have you seen some kind of evidence that climate science doesn't challenge it's findings?

Why people refuse to believe that science could become an arm for propaganda never bothered to learn the eugenic roots of National Socialism.

Because some scientists did bad things maeans they all have?

No person or group should be beyond questioning or reproach.

Again, is there some kind of evidence that you have seen that shows climate science or climate scientists are beyond questioning or reproach?

Those responsible for foisting the MMGW agenda on the world deserve deportation to Venus, a place where their wildest estimations might resemble reality.

What agenda would that be? Maybe it's the Fossil Fuels Industry and the denial machine they fund to fuel their agenda that should be shipped off to venus, or better yet the arctic ice that they claim is stable.

Why not look at some of the posts that don't agree with the OP in this thread and see if there's an legitimacy to what we're saying. Or does that shouldn't be beyond reproach thing only work one way?
