That's because people are going crazy and are stocking up on ammo.

My son bought an AR15 in October at a local store nearby his home in tiny Sweeny, Tx. I was visiting him (I live near San Antonio) and he decided to buy ammo later. Christmas time, I visited him again and he regretted not buying ammo, since he couldn't find any by then. I have been trying to buy ammo since then with no success. I finally found some 9mm, but every other kind of ammo has been sold out. This certainly was not a hoax! My neighbor bought her first gun a few days ago and could not even find 9mm., after searching many different stores. She asked me if she could borrow a couple of bullets for now. I pray that people do not become complacent again. This is no joke or "hoax"!

Yeah great we can keep our assault rifles, but what good is any gun without bullets. Maybe that's why the gubment is buying up all that ammo, to make it harder for us to find or buy them.

I am starting to think that this gun debate is just a publicity stunt to make more money, do the government earn money off weapons and ammo sales?
I think you have all been played.

Plenty of 308 Ammo at USA ammo.com.
Prices look good.
Try the Colt LE901. It's new.

Assault weapon is a made up term. It is neither illegal to own or purchase a class III weapon and they can still be found, some for under $5k, thus his statement is false.

Very dramatic view there...not at all near "realistic" but I guess if one makes decisions solely based on emotional diarrhea then I guess that over-dramatic comment might make some sense

Good point. I wont be carrying a gun to any school thats for sure.
Why not? Afraid of what you might do?
Don't trust yourself?
I have zero issue with legal gun owners carrying a firearm around the most prescious in our society.
Not at all. Afraid of scaring the kids to death.
Its a sign of a true fool to see the issue with this as GUNS...and NOT MEDIA...
The kids who see nothing but death on tv
you are confusing me man...is this as dramatic as you made it seem above or is it "a tiny bit" more fearful? regardless I hope you have the mental fortitude to acknowledge the gun-free zone didn't WORK...it never would...and it never will.
see 6 year olds shot to death and probably go to school a tiny bit more fearful than when you and I did.
What concern are others people's children of yours? I've notice a trend with you and it seems you aspire to inject your opinion into others livelihoods like some kind of aspiring politician...hell even your self-portrait avatar is indicative of this...as if you are duplicating the pose of some prominent societal figure.
I don't feel like having one child see a gun in their school without knowing if its for protection or murder. Maybe that's why?
