Yes, I read about that, Dianne Feinstein is an old and outdated politician she should get off politics and do what the rest of the old dirty politicians do this days, become a lobbyist for some pimp corporation. no only she will make more money but also will probably get more laws passed

But ammo manufacturing has re-cranked up after a hiatus since 2007, thereabouts. Supply and demand. For a spell, people weren't shooting as much. The Feinstein Wives have changed all that.

I am glad to hear that this did not pass. I do think there should be some laws in place on who can own a firearm but not far different from what we have in place now. Basically I don't want those who are violent or heavily medicated to be allowed a firearm. I am not sure I agree with all of the prohibitions on some now though. It is these laws that need to be looked into and not bans.

Also it would be great if more could be done in the way of mental health. Certainly there are leaps and bonds that could be taken in this area.

Upholding the second Amendment is priority. I believe that the people should be able to own anything the military does so long as one can afford it. Why cannot I not have a full automatic weapon to have fun with on my days off. For outright shooting a full automatic weapon is a bit useless unless you use 3 shot bursts.

For this matter though they are looking at banning rifles that are semiautomatic. Meaning the trigger has to be pulled for every shot and not just held down. You have to be some super human to use one in a automatic fashion. For the most part they are made to look military like but are not military grade. They are not assault weapons. That is a catchy word used to cause fear.

People often use the term ammunition clips for magazines. They are not clips, even if you call them that just as your car (not talking about an electric car) does not have a motor, it has an engine.

These terms have become so common though that despite the technical terms many still use them and most will know what you are talking about, even if you sound stupid using them.



As for the scaring kids in a school. Why should they be scared? Kids should be taught about firearms and the responsibility of them from an early age. My son who is 6 will soon be shooting a Winchester 67a .22. When I first showed him guns he was a bit shocked at first, but has been talking about wanting to shoot and happy that he has a gun to shoot. They need to learn the proper handling so that more accident's do not happen. I think the most accidents with kids and guns are from people not teaching their kids well enough or soon enough.


No one has the right to restrict what weapons I can own.

These one hit wonders, and mental cases who shoot up schools and public areas are in the SEVERE minority...So severe that IF and only IF...the rest were as well armed and willing to carry as these mass murderers are...they would stand NO CHANCE at all of pulling off anything remotely close to "mass"...it would be significantly LESS damage done overall.
