I'll respect your innocence and concede my argument. What I posted was not done to dash anyone's hopes. It was posted to lend clarity.

Hollow point ammunition is not regulated nor denied by the Geneva convention in any way means shape or form. This tells me exactly how educated you are in the subject. Now go away child until you have something of substance to contribute.
i'd guess a better question would be ... why would so many various internal agencies of the USA procure exhorbitant amounts of ammo, then tell the world that it's to be used in 'international' warfare training exercises, even though said ammo is specifically prohibited by the Hague Convention, all the while, the only warfare of which we're supposedly engaged is "international" ?

in other words, what other purpose could it possibly have ?

as for the OP suggestion, i think it should be reflected in every county, nationwide.
a Sheriff's posse is nothing new but something often over-looked.
no wonder Biden & Co want to strip them of their power ...

ETA -- in case my question wasn't clear enough for you, why would the government purchase bullets for 'practice' that they are NOT ALLOWED to use in international battle ??

The Hague Convention of 1899, Declaration III, prohibited the use in international warfare of bullets that easily expand or flatten in the body.[3] This is often incorrectly believed to be prohibited in the Geneva Conventions, but it significantly predates those conventions, and is in fact a continuance of the St. Petersburg Declaration of 1868, which banned exploding projectiles of less than 400 grams, as well as weapons designed to aggravate injured soldiers or make their death inevitable. NATO members do not use small arms ammunition that is prohibited by the Hague Convention.

Despite the ban on military use, hollow-point bullets are one of the most common types of civilian and police [4] due largely to the reduced risk of bystanders being hit by over-penetrating or ricocheted bullets, and the increased speed of incapacitation.

That being said, it is no wonder that agencies like Homeland Security are buying billions of rounds. Also something to note is at the height of the Iraq War the Army was expending less than 6 million rounds a month.

Some people are talking about what would happen if a civil war occurred in the states, what would Canada do:

Canada, U.S. agree to use each other’s troops in civil emergencies

Canada and the U.S. have signed an agreement that paves the way for the militaries from either nation to send troops across each other’s borders during an emergency

www.canada.com...

Not that we have all that many troops, all armed force personal amount to about 40k. Mexico, I can see the cartels expanding into the border states (they already have been asking for intel about who own weapons on the border)

With the US government ramping up their rhetoric of "patriots", the potential use of drones, purchases of ammunition and armored assault vehicles - it is easy to see where this is pointing to. But I would like to say to all the patriots out there, don't be the ones to act first.

There are a lot more men and munitions (and armored APCs) that will soon be heading home from Afghanistan also. And now that Posse Comitatus has been rendered impotent......

I think we'll see a split in loyalties when that day arrives.

Those who signed up to do whatever the hell they're told and use the "I'm only doing my job" excuse to come home and kill on their Native Land.

And...

Those who state "WTF?...I didn't sign up for this S#!T!...and use their own brains to come to the right conclusion realizing that they are being used as tools to kill their own Countrymen, women and children and further the elite agenda in doing so.

I have some faith that there will be a hell of a lot of "WTF" coming back to do the right thing.

Peace

as do i, however, i tend to wonder about the recent 'honor' bestowed upon America's most popular traitor/treasonist/terrorist ... Hanoi Jane (Fonda) and her 'followers' and what they may be planning for our returning soldiers.

her known history is bad enough but to have Obama honor her at this particular time ??? something just isn't right about that.

I was predicting this over forty years ago.
The choices in USA were between
Military Industrial Complex and Atheistic Socialism.

I like this op , I respect this sherif, I helped keep this government/military in power.

We created them, we give them power over ourselves, we can stop them. When being pushed to the edge things change fast, desperate men do desperate things. We are many, they are few.

blah

the notion, that the people stand a fighting chance, is just wishful thinking. in actuality, they would slaughter us. the only reason they haven't done anything but pecked at us is because true control has to be given and cannot be taken. they need us to be filled with despair and give up and/or become angry enough to start something. if they started something, un would have to side with the people, but if we started something then other countries would just watch. it's a game of wit and the people are losing. the only way to stop it is from the inside. from the outside, it's very interesting to watch the bible unfold. i do understand what dread others must be going through though, so condolences to those of little faith. that's all i think i know on this topic coo coo ca choo -

cool thread

Im sorry sir/mam i respectfully disagree with you. American spirit is that of revolution, true grit, over comeing the impossible. These things still carry over even in peacful time's. Strife and hardship tend to bring out our dedication and our true nature. Which is what we are most respected for as well as what we are most hated for. Freedom has been named and tarnished from the begining but good hearted genuine folks have pushed back against those who oppress people and no party line can say it is responisble. You see it's the very idea of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happyness that is pure. No we will not be slaughterd, in reality if and when shtf having a politcal opinion will get you killed; But equailty and liberty are impartial and are not in dispute.
