Banksy Arrested In London, Identity Revealed

London, England — The England-based graffiti artist, political activist, film director, and painter that for years has gone by the pseudonymous name of Banksy, was arrested early this morning by police in London. After hours of questioning and a raid of his London art studio, his true name and identity have finally been revealed.
The City of London Police say Banksy’s real name is Paul William Horner, a 39-year old male born in Bristol, England.

His art work speaks volumes.. All he was trying to do was brighten up the old grey matter of London, make humanity a little more colourful..

And giving our souls something to reflect on..

Now it looks like Banksy is going to be reflecting on prison and porridge time.

Lets do the man a favour and send him some spray cans in prison..!

IMO, he's way overrated as an artist. I stencil graffiti and it's not hard or very time consuming.

I do not know what planet you come from. Maybe you live in some communist regime or something. Here in the UK we like earn and pay for goods. Do you come from the back end of Russia. If so I would be happy to send you spray paints. Here we have them in a multitude of colours. Not just in red and white.

I don't do art for recognition or money. I have my priorities straight.

This sucks. He´s one of my favourite contemporary artist, because he´s both talented and has powerful messages that can make people think about social justice and other important issues.

ETA: this is probably hoax news, just google "banksy arrested".

I don't think anyone is insinuating that his work is hard or time consuming. The thing with Banksy is the message - nothing more. He has inspired possibly thousands of people around the world to do the same as him. Some better and many worse, he has a uniquely wry sense of the world that he effortlessly translates into an image and message that people 'get' straight away.

IMO he has done a huge amount of good, he has motivated and empowered people to do and say something.

Sorry bud, I don't even like signing up for e-mail. I'm not about to take pictures of work and upload them anywhere. I can describe the last stencil I did, it was on a McDonald's and it was Ronald McDonald doing a Ballamy Salute with a Hitler Stash.
