This is my stance - I think the Supremes know exactly what is going on but rather than rule on the basis of law which would set the country into a panic and because of the popularity of the POTUS likely a good deal of civil unrest they choose to just ignore and dismiss it. The alternative, while it might be the proper legal ruling would act as the first of the dominoes in the chian that ends America.

In this case the legal ruling would result in a landslide of outcry from the Obama Zombies - you think OJ and Rodney King riots were bad try ruling that the first black POTUS, who is popularly supported is a fraud. Those riots will look like a Boy Scout Jamboree.

I don't dismiss it out of hand, I've seen and participated in many birther threads over the course of 2 years. His past isn't mysterious but these 'buy my book' people sure like to make it seem that way.

What interesting from those that like to just post "birthers", is the idea that many a time here on ATS, and in reference to things like SH and 911, people cry, "where's the evidence?" Well it seems this issue has some hard evidence that can bet vetted and yet they still "yawn". OK so we know who the shills and trolls are now.

Hey buddy, it's good to have an open mind. But not so open to where your brains fall out. Birthers have had almost 5 years yet they have failed to come up with a single shred of evidence.

Strictly speaking in fact none of htem are "sealed" - which has a fairly specific legal definition.

Rather it is ILLEGAL for the colleges to release them to ANYBODY without the permission of the person concerned. And neither Obama nor any other Presidential candidate has ever given any such permission.

Here is Obama's first EO - 13489 - Presidential records - this repeals 13233 of 1 November 2001 - and it has the effect of making it EASIER to get Presidential records that had been clamped down on by Bush!

Obama's life isn't a mystery. He wrote a memoir and has been in the public eye for decades now.

There's been no other president to my knowledge that has no immediate family to speak of or at least accessible to the public in some way.
