Well his belittling of the constitution is quite justified. It's outdated and treated like no one would be free without it. It could be destroyed today and there would be no difference, if anything it's a hindrance because it blinds people from reality while they protect their "freedom".

If you have a problem with this country and the documents that created it, don't let the door hit you in the azz while leaving it! You are a traitor to this nation if you believe what you say to be true!

Lucky I don't live in the US then isn't it? If I did though it wouldn't make a me a traitor, what I said is true.

No its not, while you are welcome to your opinion, it does not mean it is the truth. And belittling the Constituition of the United States while you are a guest in the United States is pretty ignorant. Add to the fact that he said that after spouting off about "his" 1st amendment rights while advocating gun control which infringes on the 2nd amendment. If the Constituition means nothing too him then "his" 1st amendment rights mean nothing. Meaning he has no right to saything about the whole damn thing.

Then explain how it is not.

Myself and many others have explained why its not, yet all you come back with is "its all irrelevant" How many people of the world know that the United States has a constituition? A vast majority can we agree? How many People of the world know about the founding documents of any other country? A minority? It is the most famous document (apart from the bible) EVER WRITTEN. And its irrelevant?

No, no one has explained how it is needed in any way. All I've got is crap about it being part of Americas history. It's only famous because you lot never shut up about it, every other country just gets on with it and enjoys their freedom rather than talking about it.

I would really like to ask again....

My question is what would have happened to this clown PM, a foreigner, 20 or 30 years ago if he had tossed the constitution down in a demeaning way, as he did in this interview, and what would have happened to the " news outlet" that not only gave him the ability to do so, but did nothing to force an apology from said clown?

It's not these fools that are to blame, it's the people that do nothing to express their outrage at such actions that allow it to continue.

In a real America, the phones at CNN would have not stopped ringing until this clown was fired.

Remember this crap will continue to happen until the people demand it stops.

As a UK citizen I can only reiterate what others have said about Piers Morgan. He's a smug, smarmy, oily prick who is almost-universally despised in this country, for many reasons that I can't be bothered going into. Just Google "Why I hate Piers Morgan" for a fair summary. He understood the hatred and moved to the US, where he got a high profile show as a British "bad-boy", on the back of Simon Cowell's meteoric success. British bad boys make good tv, right?
Unfortunately for Piers, Simon Cowell gets away with the British superior act because despite his rudeness, he actually makes sense most of the time. Whereas Piers is just an idiot. The US public aren't buying it and I predict he'll be running back to the UK pretty soon to lick his wounds. He's the fart that just won't go away and keeps stinking up the room. Literally everyone hates him in this country.

This is something that people can't seem to get their head around, if they wanted to, the 2nd amendment WOULDN'T STOP THEM.
maybe not but [color=amber]the Beauty of the 2nd Amendment is that it will not be needed until they try to take it -- Thomas Jefferson.

come and get it big boy

Doesn't make any sense, how would it stop anything? It can't do anything, it's useless. Do you think anyone trying to oppose it would stop because it says so?

Ok, snap your fingers and make all the copies disappear. But it would not be gone, because it lives in me, in my heart, in my soul. I swwore to uphold and defend it, and will so til the day i die. See to Constituitionalists like myself, its not a piece of paper, its an ideal, its a way of life. Something that i am finding you just do not understand. Is having a principle irellevant? Because that what the Constituition is, a set of principles, ideals, a way to live, the way to govern. Just because America has (admittedly) gotten off track does not mean that it is irrelevant. The U.S has dont its best to Destroy the Constituition, yet the Constituition has dont nothing but try to Strengthen America.

And if anyone wanted to oppose your "way of life" you could not stop them. It's an illusion.

or is it only ok when it's others doing it to us ??

I by no means support anything Piers Morgan is pushing, but we all have to admit he at least has the balls to air the other sides opinion which is more then most main stream media is willing to do. Give the man some credit there!

When someone is destroying their self with drugs others step in, it's not always welcome. It's harder when there's 300 million of them though, probably should just let it happen.

I would be particularly interested in finding out the extent of the pre war perception of the Red Menace,

Well, for one thing, Russia was our ally in WWII, even while they were imprisoning people in the gulags. General Patton did not trust the Russians and knew something was awry. But typically, Communists and Socialists did not get along so well, as there was a division between the two factions, both of which are leftsts, and fascism is a leftist ideology as well, just one that employed more private industry in their endeavor. All three of these systems employ a Police State to achieve their goals, it's just that socialists won't admit they have to use LEO to enforce their program. We did not really know about the Gulags until after the war, and Alexsander Solzhenitsyn wrote "The Gulag Archipelago" and exposed the gulag system. Only later on did the Politburo declassify materials about the functioning of the Communist system.

For those who think that the Constitution is just an old piece of paper and that Communism was not a danger to the world, I say look again, for those who say such things have never been in a Russian gulag and certainly do not have a clue that it is the Constitution and our Patriotism which to this day has been almost the sole wall between our liberty and Communist Totalitarianism.

If our schools and universities cared about history, Anne Applebaum's magisterial work, Gulag would be required reading. Not because our children need to master the enormous body of detail concerning the infamous Soviet forced-labor system — made famous by Solzhenitsyn's works some 30 years ago — but because it is only by working their way through the chilling details, year by year and camp by camp, that they can begin to understand the horrors of Communism and the magnitude of our successful war against it.

Like Hitler's slave-labor and extermination camps, the Soviet Gulag was the symbol of the regime. Like the Nazi camps, the Soviet ones started to solve a particular political problem — how to eliminate unwanted elements from the society at large — and then took on a life of their own, sometimes becoming the driving force of policy rather than a tool of it. The horrors found underneath the rocks of silence that long protected both systems from public examination are similar, and I rather think that anyone who analyzes such a phenomenon is compelled to write

www.arlindo-correia.org...

Approximately 14 million people passed through the Gulag "labour camps" from 1929 to 1953. A further 6-7 million were deported and exiled to remote areas of the USSR, and 4-5 million passed through "labour colonies".[11] The total population of the camps varied from 510,307 in 1934 to 1,727,970 in 1953.[6]

Most Gulag inmates were not political prisoners, although significant numbers of political prisoners could be found in the camps at any one time.[16] Petty crimes and jokes about the Soviet government and officials were punishable by imprisonment.[17][18] About half of political prisoners in the Gulag camps were imprisoned without trial;

en.wikipedia.org...

hmmm..imprisonment without trial...kinda sounds like the NDAA. Maybe secret behind-closed-doors Communists are behind the NDAA and other means of going around our Constitution.

Sure looks like it's working fine now doesn't it? The world was a lot different 200 years ago, for starters "arms" were muskets, there were no rifles, semi-automatic or automatic weapons. I don't think I need to explain how society has changed.

why in the world would we ALL admit a falsehood ?

i for one won't.
there is no "other side" to a non-negotiable subject.
his 'side' is called 'the opinion of a traitor' ... is that really what you prefer ?

yes, it's an opinion ... however, in this country, it isn't a valid one.

why quibble over a 'maybe' ... they've been outed before, perhaps it's time to out them again ?

besides, if it's not one group, it's another.
any idea how many high-level government employees and DHS are members of the MB ??
if that doesn't bother ya, nothing will.

hmmm, i wasn't wandering around 200yrs ago, were you ?
then why don't we leave those tales to the history keepers, eh ?

blah, blah, blah ... BS and you know it.
find someone less knowing to dump that load on ... it's not me.

gatling guns were invented, employed, exercised and revered nearly 100yrs AFTER the Constitution was ratified ... i'm pretty sure they took such considerations into account when they wrote it.

you can doubt them all you want, i don't.

And this is exactly why America is the way it is and why it won't get better.

Thank you for illustrating your problem.
