Your right about how they put women on a lower threshold than men. In the catholic religion I grew up in, women can become nuns and help with church functions, yet they're forbidden from joining the priest hood. When you think that religion preaches to be non-judgmental, and being acceptance of everyone, what does that tell you about religion? They're all HYPOCRITICAL and are used to control the masses. It's plain and simple to see.

This is something I've studied a lot. As a romance novelest you could say I have -- and continue -- to make my living studying the male/female relationship. I have read countless books, listened to countless lectures. Frankly it has been my view for quite some time that women have been kept as sexual slaves over the eons for one reason and one alone.

MEN NEED SEX.

They know it is their weakness. It is why they warned future generations of men to avoid the temptation of a woman's "apple." Men need and crave sex like they crave and need food. Okay, not all of them, but a large majority. WOMEN DON'T. As evidence of this fact I ask this:

Did you hear about the woman who kidnapped a young man, fed him Viagra, tied him up and raped him for weeks?

Cricket...cricket.

Didn't think so.

Men NEED/ WANT sex. And if woman is prone at his feet so much the better. But men are not dumb. They know this and they have taken steps to mitigate their Achillies heel in order to maintain control. Cover those women up. Lock them away. If one gets "ideas" -- take 'em out. (Mind you, I'm talking historically.)

I truly believe that is why men have tried to keep women down. They fear us and our power. Not all -- but a great many... and rightfully so.

The Firstborn usually have much of the power in the Bible and ancient Civilization. Man came first, woman second. So the men have certain entitlements, not because we are more important but because we were first in line.

The woman was also created from the man. Representing Gods plan again. Through Jesus, the man, the woman would be created, the church.

The man and woman represent Christ and the Church. God put a story and prophecy in plain view.

The woman was also the first to sin and lead the man into temptation and sin. So her punishment was a curse with a painful childbirth. Adam was not directly cursed, but the land was cursed because of him.

By the way, the Bible, in the New Covenant, does not put the women down. It's just men have their role and women have their role. Christ has his role, and the Church as its role. Both sexes are equal and come together as one under God.

They represent and prophecy God's plan. They also Physically express the word of God..

Men destroyed the evidence of a female God and broke the imbalance needed for wise and sapient rule.

If you study archeology a little more you will discover findings of a female deity who was prayed to and revered much the same as the male and on equal footing. There was a duality of rule distributed male and female, completely equal. Once that imbalance was broken, the harmony was destroyed. In today's world social studies show that if you educate men in a society they do little to share the education or improve the society but if you teach a woman she uses it in her society, teaches and improves the life's of others. Meanwhile the men would rather die with the knowledge than share it and so even the USA has stopped only funding the militia groups in troubled nations. They fund the education of the women instead. I have to say that women are more inclusive in their decision making and if they had more control I don't think the planet would be in the verge of extinction with violence prevailing over most lands.

That is inaccurate and an edited version of an older book and story. In the original, men and women ruled with equal power, male and female shared the throne.

Negative. If you believe in the Bible. Woman could not be equal to man without Christ. We come together as one under him.

Oh, your book is inaccurate and altered from the original.

I'm curious, do they have women priests and ministers in the US ? We do over here in the UK, quite progessive i think.

To me a religion that's doesn't allow women the same representation as men is just control. Learning Latin used to be banned except for the chosen few so not many even knew what was really in the bible until printing presses and radical publishers.

Yes, but the Bible prohibits such things. Women can teach Children and other women. However, in a mixed congregation of men and women men should lead the service.

It is also okay for a woman and husband to sing a song together, but to sing is to teach. God has appointed man over the Woman as Christ is over the church.

maybe, just maybe the bible isn't right about everything. It hasn't moved with the times very well. I see that as the main reason there's more and more atheists and alternative beliefs springing up. As a man i'd prefer women ministers as i know they are less likely to abuse their position of trust and commit crimes against their congregation.

Well, in my opinion, it's right about everything. No point in calling myself a Christian if I don't believe the word of God in its entirety.

OK best we leave it there and agree to accept that we have very differing beliefs. I'm of the opinion that believe whatever makes you happy, as long as it doesn't infringe on the rights of others to believe what they want or harms others in any way.

I have had this conversation a few times with some like minds, even a few women. Following this train of thought you inevitably come to one conclusion.

It is always funny how the conversation starts. The women get a little on the defensive. Then you take a look at how women in cultures where they are sheltered may be happier and healthier due to the support groups that they have. Men also need to have strong support groups naturally. It is the way we are wired.

Unfortunately, in most modern culture the only support groups that fit into this natural order fall into unsavory categories such as motorcycle clubs, gangs, mafia or even law enforcement. It is even harder for women to find options that they can tie into for a lifetime. In the end, the conversation comes to the conclusion that we are not wired to live in cities. We need to exist in tight niche communities, else stress, chaos and confusion come into play. We are inundated with way too many choices in this day and age. Our minds cannot cope. There is even more need to have a comfortable reliable place to fit into where the whole purpose is to safe guard our health and family. The church has failed us for the most part in this regard. And our options are limited if you are looking for a respectable and accepted niche that exploits the long term benefits of this approach.

If you skip into the future in your imagination and try to see a world where humans live peacefully with the earth, you will see that getting these support groups is crucial to our maturity and health as a species.

I know you'd like to believe that and who am I to upset your paradigm but my book was written first and your book is a re-write, plagiarism of the first. You don't have to take my word for it. Would PROOF convince you?

The Enûma Eliš, or "Enuma Elish", was recognized as bearing close relation to the Jewish Genesis creation mythos from its first publication (Smith 1876), and it was an important step in the recognition of the roots of the account found in the Bible and in other Ancient Near Eastern (Canaanite and Mesopotamian) mythos.

In one interpretation, Genesis 1:1-3 can be taken as describing the state of chaos immediately prior to God's act of creation:

"In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without form and void, and darkness was over the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters. And God said, ‘Let there be light,’ and there was light. "

I thought not.

What book? Lol

This one ...Actually clay tablets (just like Moses)....LOL

The Enûma Eliš (Akkadian Cuneiform: 𒂊𒉡𒈠𒂊𒇺) is the Babylonian creation mythos (named after its opening words). It was recovered by Austen Henry Layard in 1849 (in fragmentary form) in the ruined Library of Ashurbanipal at Nineveh (Mosul, Iraq), and published by George Smith in 1876.

The Enûma Eliš has about a thousand lines and is recorded in Old Babylonian on seven clay tablets, each holding between 115 and 170 lines of text. Most of Tablet V has never been recovered, but aside from this lacuna, the text is almost complete. A duplicate copy of Tablet V has been found in Sultantepe, ancient Huzirina, located near the modern town of Şanlıurfa in Turkey.

This epic is one of the most important sources for understanding the Babylonian worldview, centered on the supremacy of Marduk and the creation of humankind for the service of the gods. Its primary original purpose, however, is not an exposition of theology or theogony but the elevation of Marduk, the chief god of Babylon, above other Mesopotamian gods.

The Enûma Eliš exists in various copies from Babylon and Assyria. The version from Ashurbanipal's library dates to the 7th century BCE. The composition of the text probably dates to the Bronze Age, to the time of Hammurabi or perhaps the early Kassite era (roughly 18th to 16th centuries BCE), although some scholars favour a later date of ca. 1100 BCE en.wikipedia.org...

Oh, have you heard of the story of Nebuchadnezzer, you know, the king that submitted to the God in heaven? God afflicted him to live like an animal because his pride was so great and he fell on his knees and gave praise.

God's Wife Edited Out of the Bible -- Almost

news.discovery.com...

God had a wife, Asherah, whom the Book of Kings suggests was worshiped alongside Yahweh in his temple in Israel....

In 1967, Raphael Patai was the first historian to mention that the ancient Israelites worshiped both Yahweh and Asherah.Asherah's connection to Yahweh.... is spelled out in both the Bible and an 8th century B.C. inscription on pottery found in the Sinai desert at a site called Kuntillet Ajrud.

"The inscription is a petition for a blessing," she shares. "Crucially, the inscription asks for a blessing from 'Yahweh and his Asherah.'

Here was evidence that presented Yahweh and Asherah as a divine pair.

And now a handful of similar inscriptions have since been found, all of which help to strengthen the case that the God of the Bible once had a wife."

Asherah -- known across the ancient Near East by various other names, such as Astarte and Istar -- was "an important deity, one who was both mighty and nurturing,"...

"Many English translations prefer to translate 'Asherah' as 'Sacred Tree,'" ...

"This seems to be in part driven by a modern desire, clearly inspired by the Biblical narratives, to hide Asherah behind a veil once again."

"Mentions of the goddess Asherah in the Hebrew Bible (Old Testament) are rare and have been heavily edited by the ancient authors who gathered the texts together," ...

Asherah as a tree symbol was even said to have been "chopped down and burned outside the Temple in acts of certain rulers who were trying to 'purify' the cult, and focus on the worship of a single male god, Yahweh," he added.

Did you hear the one where the virgin has a baby?

Or the God who punishes an entire planet because a chick eats an apple?

What about the dead guy who walks around?

We can both play that game.

I just read the comparison between the tablets. The tablets actually were used to verify many stories in genesis that were thought to be false. So, the tablets support the Bible more than anything. Not just those tablets, there were many found that gave more credit to the Bible.

By the way. God didnt flood the world because Eve ate an apple. He flooded the world because of the abominations on it. Only Noah and his sons were of pure blood line. The entire world could not exist any longer for it was entirely corrupted and the population would have surely killed Noah and his family. The last people able to give pure blooded birth to Jesus. It was necessary.

Yes, The Lord Jesus Christ was born of a virgin.

Yes, several resurrected men walked around.
