Looks like a camera artefact to me, especially when zoomed in.

:upi love youse guys! thanks for the photo work.!!)
The picture looses its bug like quality when its reverse coloured !!!
In fact i wonder if theres anybody whose got a way to do that to ALL of the NASA supplied pics.............
It could be a remarkable tool if they have been using the technique on us!
The "unmistakable" aeroform certainly has a symetry about it that to my eye belies any natural artifact....
Trick of the lense? trick of the light?
I wonder if theres any way we could scale the x37b? space plane into a comparison?
Its gone out there for two hundred plus days before.....is that the time it takes to go there and return? (with time for in atmosphere scouting as well?)
If its a local flight, well thats another matter.....
There you go.. one UFO next to the x37b

So all the money that went into "Curiosity" and it's sending back black and white photos?

To all the people claiming this is something special ie: a jet..."lol"..... UFO, whatever.....could you please explain why you think it could not be a simple imaging artefact?

Thank you for sharing! The picture is indeed authentic, from the source.
Now we have a clearer idea of what NASA's been so nevous/excited about!

Still pretty much irrelevant and if anything it probably points more to it being something on the lens of the camera.

Is there any photos of mars moon from the rover on the surface of mars? I think those pics would be the best to see, ones of the sunset/sun rise and of the moon.
The reason I asked to begin with is that I thought maybe that object is a star or something? I thought moon but it would appear bigger than that in the sky wouldn't it?

You do realize this is from Spirit Rover NOT Curiosity. I dont think NASA has really thought of Spirit rover in a while since well it's STUCK.
NASA give up on stuck Spirit Rover
