LOL, what you mean to say is, people are being replaced race wise by other people.

Places like France and Japan, Japan in particular, where there are not so many immigrants filling the demographic gap are going to have a tough next couple of generations. The proportion of retiring people to people entering the workforce is going to be skewed to the point where the younger generations have to support the larger older generations and it will be a drag on the countries.

Not all countries are the same and not all countries can have blanket statements about immigration and population pressures apply to them.

America's apparent wealth has drawn immigrants for centuries, while others, like Europe and Japan do not have that luxury of guaranteed population growth through immigration and the socioeconomic factors there lead to too few of the next generation being born. This is a real problem and race is not the only side of the issue. Do not make it out to be.

Fewer Babies Pose Difficult Challenges for Europe

Even with a net inflow of 800,000 immigrant per year, Europe's population is expected to decline from 731 million to 664 million and possibly 600 million by 2050.

Europe's share of the world's population is also expected to drop from 11% to 7% in the same period.

The population of Europe has reached a peak of about 731 million people and now heads for decline. Over the coming decades, the pace of decline is expected to quicken to around 2 million fewer persons per year. Consequently, the population of Europe by mid-century is likely to be around 664 million, nearly 10 percent smaller than its current size.

With this decline and continuing population growth in other regions, notably Africa and Asia, Europe's share of world population is expected to decline from 11 percent today to 7 percent by 2050.

Notably, this mid-century figure of 664 million assumes an average net annual inflow of 800,000 immigrants as well as some increases in fertility rates over the coming decades. If immigration to Europe stopped altogether, its population in 2050 would be some 50 million less than projected. Moreover, if immigration ceased and current fertility levels remain unchanged, then the population of Europe would fall well below 600 million by mid-century.

The problem is, even with immigration, Europe's population is going to grey even more than it is at the moment.

Interestingly, the UK which is pursing a high immigration policy, has been projected to see white people a minority by 2006.

Need this be a problem? Perhaps not if the immigrants are successfully integrated rather than concentrating in their own ethnically driven communities.

France does have a immigration problem. Just look at the riots they have had over the years.

Mostly caused by "Asian" youths.

But you are right in regards to Japan, they do have a very strict immigration policy in place.

The world is getting smaller as the population rises. Those that don't want to adapt had best get out of the way, or they'll be run over.

I see the countries of Asia as the last bastion of racial purity...and they'll lose in the long run.

I don't think that racially insular societies are the way to go, I am trying to argue that demographic issues do exist in some countries due to falling birth rates.

Most communities eventually integrate, but I wonder why the some do not?

The question I ask is...Why immigrate at all if that is the route you're taking?

Do the third world countries have a social net to take care of their elderly? like Social Security, or Medicare? Usually it is families or tribes that do that end of business.

Some do, but for the most part, I don't think so.

I guess I'll be busy researching that end of things after work.

This thread can be spun four ways to Sunday, but I look at the original post and try to stay focused on that.

Due to globalization races as we know them will be a thing of the past especially racial minorities and subsections, like the red aired people they are becoming extinct. The most prevailing racial traits are the Asian, considering that Asians are the most common race on the planet if the trend continues human traits will orbit that way.

One thing that everyone should consider in the great scheme of things is that there are no indigenous people, only first comers in relation with any region of the world. We should lament the lost of cultural diversity but beyond that there is not much point in making much noise it is all relative only making any sense in a very limited frame, in the end we are all brothers...

I disagree. The thread is based on objective observations of birth rates in a selection of countries and a discussion of what that might mean. You are the one who brings racism up time and again.

Change is a scary thing and the process we are discussing is change writ large and it is natural for people to be uneasy about it. The shifts in demographics around the world are going to effect culture, politics, and economics and the countries of the future will be much different from where they are now. I feel like this is what the thread is meant to discuss, not continuous loosely based accusations of racism.

This is the last time I am going to respond to you because it is clear that whether or not you are trolling on purpose it seems that your purpose is to stir up trouble
