Sorry you felt attacked the B.S was in regard to the excuses made on behalf of Obama's many let downs ie. he was off his game ect and that in itself is madness because we allow our president to get away with a lack lustre performance. I voted for the man and expected more I feel let down is all. No hard feelings I hope; I was just trying to have a good conversation is all. Regards, Briebird

I think that poster did a pretty good job laying out his opinion on the debate. It's pretty obvious from your posts your only looking for people to agree with you that Romney was the winner and is totally going to go on and win this thing.

Barack Obama does not deserve a 2nd term. He wasn't even qualified to be elected in the first place. Yet here we are. Romney should be running away with this thing, but he isn't. He did well tonight but it's still going to be neck and neck. I think that says a lot about Romney as much as Obama.

No actually it says a lot about US voters. A recent poll found people are happy with the economy and think it's doing alright. Do they live in the same country as me? The only way you think this country is doing well is if you are an Obama supporter suffering from cognitive dissonance.

Romney verse Romney seems to be the Obama plan.

It seems Obama's goal is to let people get a good look at Mitt, and it's not a pretty sight.

That's about it.

Sit back, hand him some rope, let him hang himself.

So far I see only Obama dangling from the tree. Hope he has a plan to get out, that noose is getting tight.

I bet you a million dollars if President Romney got elected. He wouldn't do anything to change this country, he will make the middle class poorer and rich will be much better off.

Isn't that what Obama did? The gap is the largest it has been since the 60's. You keep listening to the rhetoric though, what do actual facts matter.

Thank you, Briebird. No hard feelings. I hope you read the middle part of my second post. It explains my Romney feelings, if you want conversation. Being let down by Obama's performance tonight, and in general, is also a completely valid feeling/opinion.

peace,
AB

I thought that Romney would come off as a bit too aggressive to some people for sure but I think that was his point; to be the take charge guy. He was definilty prepared to debate. I honostly thought Obama was gonna do much better tonight.

Romney was the "steamroller" version of 'difficult people,' in my opinion - i.e. roll all over other people to get your way. I know what you mean - everyone thought Obama would do better! My thought is to not count him out due to one debate. And I can't wait to check "factcheck.org" and the "truth-o-meter!" It will be interesting...

It's late, so I'm singing off for now...
peace,
AB

Just have to say you claimed to be non partisan, but your posts are clearly pro-Obama. Who was the moderator? How has that person treated Republicans throughout his career? Might give you some insight.

You know, to be honest, I'm for Romney, but being sincere, I almost feel bad for Obama, and I'm disappointed in his performance. Romney was well spoken, I liked how he responded to every point that Obama made, and corrected him, confidently, while being humble. Then again, I'm always cautious to immediately believe what anyone says without researching what they are talking about, unless they provide evidence, or proof to back up their statements.

I'm looking forward to the vice-presidential debate.

At times it didn't even sound like Romney's official platform.

Of course, because you've only ever heard the liberal media spin.

I am sure I'm not alone in that I don't want either of them for POTUS. I voted for Obama. I wanted him and his family to be the new Camelot, taking up JKF's mantel and proposing a better way with style, grace, and real leadership-----not in any particular order , mind you---AND BECAUSE I HATED BUSH/CHENEY SOOOOO MUCH!!!!
And so 4 years later? he has not closed Gitmo, he has not ended the illegal war with Iraq, he did not kill Bin Ladin,he has lead us into wars with Egypt, Libya, and I'm thinking Syria, all with UN approval. His Sec of Def Leon Panetta told Congress that he would "let them know what the UN decides" as far as going to war. What Bush /Cheney started shredding the Constitution, Obama has continued. And I never saw any indication what so ever that Romney would do otherwise. In fact, what I saw of Romney tonight, was that he would continue "the program".
We are on the brink of WW3...which I think will be utterly devestating, and they argue tax breaks for the wealthy? They argue education?? They argue????
I'm sorry, but this "debate" was a waste of time.

Mitt Romney wants to cut government spending.
And he gleefully says this.
Yet what he's telling america is that when I'm in office I'm going to lay off a bunch of government workers.
Which will increase the unemployment rate.
Not sure how he's going to recover from that one.

Am I the only one that thinks that President Obama had a hidden ear bud in his right ear? Every time he was asked a new question, his eyes went down and to the right and his head followed. Lets see who on his staff gets fired or sent to outer Mongolia after this fiasco.
Romney seemed to pick up on this and started talking during the President's answers which really confused Obama generating some really strange Presidential facial expressions. And then there was that "gunshot" noise in the background which both participants turned around and looked. I think Obama lost his radio feed at that time because he had that "Oh S**T" look on his face.
Romney won, hands down. Next debate is next week between Ryan and Biden. Biden will have to have large stereo headphones on so they can keep HIS attention...
I love America...

Gosh, Romney could save about a billion just by laying off all the Czars Obama appointed. Thank goodness Obama never got his civilian army up and running (other than a few black panthers patrolling the polls)... Can you say ACORN?

I don't believe all the dead people in America can save Obama now. Just ain't enough votes...

Not accusing anyone of anything, but perhaps we can choose a better metaphor when discussing the first Black President.

Obama was obviously shot by a small
tranquilizing dart. So was Romney, but his was self inflicted
and contained crystal meth.

All that happened last night is we heard the "Bait"
part of Romney's Bait and Switch plan.
It's classic Romney.

I agree. It says a lot about US voters that we put up with the crap and allow two awful candidates to run for the highest office in the land. A 2-bit socialist who has continued the crippling policies of Bush-Cheney and a guy who in any other dimension is not a conservative but a flip flopper with a short memory.

I don't pay attention to polls but that's nice to know as it reaffirms my belief in how friggin' wrong they are. Everyone I talk to from all walks of life is angry as all hell at not just the economy but where this country stands in general.
