Aha the way something is being spun again by the liberal media who is doing the "class warfare" thing with Obama.

Here is the exact quote:

“No,” Romney replied, “middle income is $200,000 to $250,000 and less.”

AND LESS

That means he recognizes how much more it requires just to pay bills, maintain a home, put kids through school etc.

But it was a supreme opportunity to make the point that the income of average Americans has gone down, their net worth destroyed as they lose their homes or the value of their retirement goes down, or they lost their job.

Because if Obama views people who make 250,000 to be living high on the hog and need to "pay more of their fair share" then Romney shows he is just the opposite, that it requires more just to live reasonably well.

I'm so freakin sick of the class war of the Progressives.

This is the same man who said that $374,000 per year in speaking fees is "not very much"... WOW!

I think Gov. Sarah Palin gets $100,000 per speech.

People love to hear her speak.

Gov. Romney is a very rich man. We should not punish success.

That's what they do in Greece.

The capitalists fled to the USA.

President Mitt Romney is the best choice.

Obama wants to go over the fiscal cliff.

He is also the same man that makes 10,000 dollar bets with the same ease ordinary people do with 10.

I know lots of folk who have a family income in that range. They are certainly not "living large." It depends on where you live. That amount in jerk-water Nevada would be fine. In San Francisco, $200k, for a family of four, might qualify you for food stamps.

You can barely make it on $100k these days... anywhere.

well combined income me and my missus are on just over $150k (AU) and we still struggle with stuff i'd classify us as lower/middle income.

middle is probally closer to $200k these days and anything over 500k P/Y i would say is high.

Oh, I'd say more like a family of four on 50,000 can have a fairly comfortable living, but again, depends where you live. I am in Oklahoma which has one of the lowest costs of living ranges in the country. Lots' of jobs coming here because of it to.

If you lived somewhere where land was very cheap, and this was take home, a family could manage somewhat on that, but not really abundance, more scarsity. You'd have to budget fairly tight to manage a trip home to visit relatives in the hospital, take a course, or save up any real money.

We live with 7 on less, and its not fun being in debt to eat.

No, we should not punish the successful. We also should not celebrate someone because they got rich on inheritance and gutting businesses. But that neither here nor there.

The fact is, Romney continues to prove that he is WAY out of touch with the average american. Period.

I have to wonder why romney followers cant simply defend their man, and not immediately just "but, obama is worse...but obama did this...."

That is definitely upper middle class and borderline wealthy. Compared to a ceo who makes $10 million a year or basketball player, then yeah it is poverty. Compared to someone working 3 part time jobs to make $60k then yes it is wealthy.

Everything is relative. Depends on per person or per family, LOCATION, job skills, etc.

It also depends on the formula they use to come up with the figures. I suspect the 30% who cannot afford basic health insurance are making $50k or less per household/family. THAT IS A LOT OF PEOPLE!!!

The problem in america is too many jobs have been outsourced and second there are too many illegal immigrants. Good jobs that would pay $100k in america can be done in india for $25k. That means menial service orientated jobs left for americans or highely technical jobs that cannot be done in asia.

Not good!!

Starred and flagged you for an excellent point, and totally true. One can assume you are on another economic level altogether when your racehorse is competing in the Olympics. I have heard him myself suggest that a "small business" to him was under 500* employees.

500 people! A small business! LOL

(*And please don't anyone compare this number with total number of employees in "Global" industries.
Their unlimited spending power creates undue influence, their cutthroat tactics and cheap human exploitation is largely the problem)

President Mitt Romney is correct about that number.

According to the Small Business Association, small business = 500 employees.

If you go to the SBA to ask for a loan that's the first thing they ask you.

I don't know about that, realistically I mean though I don't doubt that's what the number technically is but to me that is a pretty large business. President Mitt Romney? Let's hope he gets better at lying. So far people seem to be able to tell.

It's easy to check.

I just did a Google search: www.sba.gov

-Seek the truth -

It says 500 employees and $7 million in annual receipts.

Go read it yourself.

No people don't love to hear her speak. Misguided and uneducated trolls love to hear her speak. You know the kind of trolls that actually thought she was gonna run for President and win. For some reason they love to just give her money for being a clueless twit that can't form a complete coherent thought.

Americans love Free Market Capitalism. They really do.

Romney is ahead in the polls at Rasmussen.

Romney 48%

Obama 45%

Small business owners jumped out of their skin when they heard Obama's socialist rant.

- If you've got a business, you didn't build that ! -

Most small business owners are in that $200,000 to $250,000 per year income level.

They are hostile to him this year.

And more of the "but obama did this" rhetoric. Cant even defend your man. Just spewing out of context quotes. Nicely done.

And no, 'most' small business owners do not make that income. Seems you are as out of touch as your man mittens.

I know the Ron Paul followers hate the QE-3 but it's not all bad.

Devaluing the U.S. dollar has been going on since 1955.

Monetizing the debt keeps interest rates low. We are sitting on a $16 Trillion Debt Bomb.

Helicopter Ben stole that trick from the British.

I'll say this much. It works.

SO, in other words, you cant even defend your man. Fair enough.

No comment on the fact that most small business owners are nowhere near the $200 k mark? Or are you going to keep deflecting back to off-topic rhetoric?
