I am not missing the point. You are taking it to the extreme. The extreme is what you are choosing to believe. Do you have actual government documentation stating schools are being used to promote socialism?

I am pretty sure that the information has already been presented in this thread. I also think more than once I stated the claims that have been made are ALL supported by actual legislation. Do you understand what legislation is? Legislation is law. In the legislation it is stated what an objective is and each amendment and new legislation that follows will list what the further objectives are and includes under what circumstances and how will they be implemented.

I started my journey on this issue back in 1989..when the Goals 2000 act was being implemented (before it actual became law). I have presented the information and others have contributed their own knowledge and supportive information to help you. I am sorry you are unable to grasp it. You are on the internet darling..I am not here to wipe your hiney...if you do not find what has already presented as a wealth of information available to you to build on, I don't know what else to say without accessing my not so sweet side. I have been patient with you, if I was good at working with imbeciles I would have worked in that field, sorry I am not.

Had you followed up on the information provided early on in this thread, you would have known that indeed she did make copies of everything and lost her job because of it.

Actually - I did read a lot of it.

I do have an Asperger's 4 year old here. He does take priority.

I don't think the teachers intentions were to make any kids feel guilty and vulnerable, and infact I believe his intention was to teach us diversity. My parents were very liberal, and I didn't grow up around racist views....but something about that fieldtrip always stuck in my mind, and had made me uncomfortable.....I can't speak to wether any "ulterior" motive was involved or not?

I could say the same. Who would not be happy to hear the kids were learning other cultures and to respect different races? In fact, the only things I did find out through one of my children is when he was reprimanded for something and I inquired. When my son or the school didn't complain, I just assumed everything was fine. If there was an issue I was determined to understand the matter, I raised my children to be well behaved. That was the only way I found out about a couple things and even then, I only learned about the matter at hand, nothing more. Did you get a chance to look at the video "liveforever8" posted in this thread? I learned so much more about how they do it from it. here is a link...Transformational education
It will blow you away. I wish this video was available when my kids were in school, now everything makes sense. We couldn't have known MountainLaurel, it is so crafty.

I really don't how to explain the difference in how my cousin's, and my ultra cool family back east raise thier kids, but these kids are turning out awesome I believe a big part is private schools....and my family are blue collar folks, they struggle to pay the tuition....but they are the COOLEST people in the world....salt of the earth my Dad says.....and I appreciate your thoughts......

I'm all for private schools. I helped pay for my oldest grandson to go to a private Christian school. The kid tested 12th grade reading in 1st grade - - - and Arizona schools suck.

My 4 year old grandson taught himself to read at age 3 - - learning from his computer. He may have some borderline autistic issues - - so hopefully he'll get extra help. One of my daughter's was an ADD - - the other in the gifted program. They are as opposite as Black and White. I'm not lacking personal experience and knowledge of the school system.

I use what I call "elevator thinking". Say there are 30 floors. At each floor you choose a different viewpoint. It's not that I don't understand the Conspiracy viewpoint - - - I chose a different viewpoint on this. There have always been socialist in America. But there are all the other "beliefs" as well. We have Christians trying to force public schools to include religion. Schools with a lot of Latinos - - have bi-lingual public school. In CA they're now going to include famous homosexuals of history.

I'm not going with the Extremism on this one.

As always Annee, I enjoy your insights, and I think you make a brilliant point, I really get the "elevator" analogy...kids are all different...as it should be....what fun would life be if everyone was the same...

At the end of the day...it's up to the "grown-ups" in a child's life to oversee thier educations...and if indeed "sinister" forces are at work, which I am in agreement with the OP that data suggests there is, all us "grown-ups" ( lol, and I use that term loosly in my case ) need to pay attention...and supplement our individual childs needs based on an understanding that can only be known by family and loved ones....

you seem like a loving parent and grandparent....and my term of endearment for you would be "sweetpea"....

Wow...just had an opportunity to watch this video.....friggin diabolical....and the worst part is they take "good" concepts and change the meaning....it really is "insane".......I remember having a conversation with my millionaire uncle...lol...I knew him back in the day when he was poor......and we had a debate about politics....I was a democrate, he was a .......I had no clue at the time how right he was about sooo many things....

The point is he was a scrappy kid from Pittsburgh...same place as Ron Paul...lol.....and it is time to call a spade a spade....we are not going to get through whatever is coming without loyality to family and country...and I believe this in the depth of my soul.....
