My rebuttal response to Druid is up now, in our debate about whether or not Romney Would Be A Good POTUS.

Either my side of this debate is unusually detailed or I need to seriously work on being more concise....I would bet the farm that it is the latter more than the former!

I have a topic I'd like to debate with someone who perhaps disagrees or just wants to present the 'con' side of the issue...when I am finished with my current debate with Druid...right now, we are about to start on our last set of exchanges out of the three total arguments.

I borrowed the wording for this topic somewhat from President James Monroe.



Party system politics, are by their very nature, incompatible with efficient government.

I would also like to throw out an idea...if it has not already been done.

Is atheism a religion? Yay or nay?

I'd prefer to take the nay side of the debate.

Define religion first. A choice to decide not to believe is still a belief. In the field of mathematics, it's called an imaginary number.

If you don't mind going up against a staff member, and there aren't any rules preventing it that I am not currently aware of, I'd LOVE to debate the OBE thing. I had a cadiac arrest and experienced one.

Still not really getting closer to starting a debate yet!

Started a sort of discussion with sheep slayer, but not much going at the moment!

I imagine the depiction of Muhammad would be topical right now. Other silly ideas:

It is unethical to wear fur.
A child's behaviour is influenced negatively by video games.
Islam promotes violence.
The government should regulate our diets/cut off health care from those who are irresponsible.
Feminism is no longer required.
Skynet is a very real future risk.
Aristocracy is better than democracy.
Piracy is wrong.
Advertising is sexist.
Celebrities have no right to privacy.
We are responsible for our own sexuality.
Religion and science do not oppose one another.
Religion is a virus.
Extinction is natural.
Trying to communicate with distant aliens is irresponsibe.
Smoking should be banned.
We need more male high school and primary school teachers.

Some of these might already be mentioned I guess but it's a collection of ones I think could mostly be argued from either side successfully and aren't too wide.

Debate finished.

I would request a debate from you, but honestly, I see you as a formidable opponent. I've read you're other debates, and you are a higher caliber than the rest. Intimidation sets in, so I ponder.

It'd be a challenge. A good one. Well thought out and balanced though the careful placement of words.
