I'm making it a point to Not vote for anyone in this upcoming election. I would have voted for Ron Paul, if given the chance.

I have predicted from the beginning that most Paul supporters were Obama supporters in 2008 (if they even cared in 2008 since most are pretty young) and that they would be voting for Obama this time around as well because he seems like such a "nice" guy. Seriously that's the reason they state!

Well, America doesn't need or want a "nice" President who will slowly turn us into the United Socialist States of America. That's going to happen with another four years of Obama! I am a republican because of Obama so I guess you could say I am voting against Obama, but it doesn't matter now does it?

The race IS IS IS between Romney and Obama. No one else has the man-power, the backers, and the $$$$ to get elected!!!! This is what we are left with and while I would have liked Cain or Huntsman better. Romney still fits pretty nicely with everything I believe in.

I am not supporting a wealthy agenda. I am not wealthy. I would like to be but your social programs put walls and blockades against anyone who wants to be an entrepreneur and make themselves wealthy. When was the last time a poor person gave you a job or paid you for something they couldn't do? The wealthy, as you put it, are the ones who create jobs. Those with money pay those who don't have money and are willing to work for it.
Normally the wealthy do not sit on their money like Scrooge McDuck. It is invested. That money is mingled with other people's money to keep corporations moving. The corporations then return interest on that investment to the investors. You know, old people who have saved and are trying to increase their wealth. That is capitalism.

Right now, businesses are not expanding. Those who can invest, are not investing. Why? Because of Obama! Nobody knows what is going to happen to their future. Obama and the liberals can take it away with the stroke of a pen, and have. When the economy is sound, businesses want to expand. As long as you keep people in poverty by making them dependent on government, you are creating and sustaining a lower class. The ACA is so far above the projected costs, it is absurd. You want free? It doesn't exist. Somebody is going to pay for it somewhere.

You want it to be the rich? Think it through. Take their money. all of it. Dry the well. Kill the goose. Give the money to the poor. They spend it. The money runs out. Nobody wins. Nobody has money. Eventually, the money is gone. Even the rich people's money is gone. No businesses, no markets, no jobs. Who is going to support people then?

You expect the government to just print money? Money has to have value. Look at Germany prior to WWII. It took a wheelbarrow full of money to buy a loaf of bread. We are heading there because of attitudes like yours. If you want socialism, go to Venezuela. Our Constitutional Republic is what made us great. Social programs out of control are what people like you wish for. You actually wish to have our country turn into a third world monarchy.

By your standards, those who work pay those who don't work. I understand about being poor. I was there. I washed dishes in a restaurant while I was getting my business started. I worked a menial job to fulfill a goal of having my own business. I didn't wait for someone to give me a handout. When you give people money, you remove their incentive. So, why should anybody work? You need to think this through. Imagine a country where nobody worked. What is your solution to that? Forced labor? You need to think it through. If you take from those who supply jobs, they will leave. Ergo, no money for anybody.

Bad news my friend. Government will stay the same no matter who is elected.

I get kind of tired of hearing this in every political thread.... I think those that truly feel this way should just stay out of the debate since they only have this one liner as their participation...ya we get it...over and over....lol

With that said I agree to a point that the Government will slightly flow in one direction or another with different Presidents, but with the status quo not changing more drastically in a direction that most of us would like it to go. Well, that was my thoughts prior to Obama... I see him with the ability to drastically change the status quo in a seriously wrong direction if he gets four more years. I'm all about the middle ground and I like things on both end of the political spectrum, but holy crap, Obama can and will push us so far left in socialized big government that Kennedy would seem like a Republican.

Romney will be controlled by it being his first term, and so I think we are safe as long as these guys stay first term only until we get a guy in office we really want to make big changes then they can go two terms. I do agree with about 80% of what Paul Ryan stands for, so that is a plus for me, and I find nothing too far out with Romney to prevent me from not voting for him.

50% of what Ron Paul says I agree with him and would love to see those changes.....50% of what he says I don't want him anywhere near becoming POTUS....

I would love to see him picked for a major position, but as Presient...no way..

Paul snubbed Romney Romney will snub Paul. That's how politics goes. If he endorses Romney we'll see. Romney's thinking is not that hard to figure out. It's more practical than most politicians.

I remember this political cartoon from a few months back so I understand the sentiment regarding Mitt.

..but everyone can agree times are tough and this country is extremely ill, so understandably it is time to take some really BAD tasting medicine.

Besides, this country is at a point of no return and we cannot survive another four years of Obama.

Great Society is the term LBJ used to describe his expansion of the welfare state

There really are not "poor" people here like there are in the 3rd world, read the studies of Robert Rector

I wrote in Paul in 2008 and will write him in again. However, as much as I dislike Obama, I would rather have him than Romney. Obama scares me, Romney scares me even more.
Something tells me that if Romney was saying the same things Obama was the Republicans would say those ideas were great and if it was reversed the Democrats would be saying what Romney is currently saying would be great if said by Obama.
Honestly, does anyone really know what Romney believes? Because I am not even sure Romney knows what he believes based on his voting record.

At least show up and vote a third party candidate for President and the GOP for Congress. Not voting is basically saying "I have no problem with Obama"

You think you can vote for either person?

Slaves can't vote.

2 parties 1 evil agenda.

I am sick and tired of people thinking they can vote and change anything.

Ask yourself is your life better now then it was 20 years ago? Do you you have more freedoms?

It must take a lot of delusion to think that this is not America, but China.

Vote, volunteer, donate. That is how change happens.

There are real differences between the two large parties, not voting is an endorsement of the status quo, IE OBAMA.

People died so you can piss your vote away...

The corporations then return interest on that investment to the investors. You know, old people who have saved and are trying to increase their wealth. That is capitalism.

First and foremost our ideals differ on what true capitalism and free market is. True capitalism and free market in my opinion is the acquisition and privatization of resources on any piece of land on the the planet. Taking those privatized resources, manufacturing, and distribution of those goods at the highest amount of profit possible. If this means lowering the minimum wage, or easing of restrictions on child labor, or easing of restrictions on health and environment considerations so be it. Whatever can increase profit margins is standard operating procedure.True capitalism and free market with no restrictions holds no consideration for the welfare of people or the planet. Does this mean I endorse the total elimination of capitalism? No, of course not. We do need a system that creates initiative to produce. On the other hand no restrictions put tremendous pressure on average people and the planet.

Right now, businesses are not expanding. Those who can invest, are not investing. Why? Because of Obama! Nobody knows what is going to happen to their future. Obama and the liberals can take it away with the stroke of a pen, and have. When the economy is sound, businesses want to expand. It doesn't exist. Somebody is going to pay for it somewhere.
We do pay for these services, it's called taxation. Thus the reasoning I think taxation does serve a good purpose when used effectively. So it begs the question. What is happening to the billions and billions taken in by taxation? What are they doing with all this money? You also like to play the left right game. I find it completely uninteresting and unproductive when trying to figure out good solutions in regards to fixing these issues. In the last ten years both parties have held the White House and held the majority in the legislative branch with poor results. I think there is an underlying issue here that goes beyond the left right paradigm.

You want it to be the rich? Think it through. Take their money. all of it. Dry the well. Kill the goose. Give the money to the poor. They spend it. The money runs out. Nobody wins. Nobody has money. Eventually, the money is gone. Even the rich people's money is gone. No businesses, no markets, no jobs. Who is going to support people then?
Wait, what? The money is just going to disappear? No more? Gone? It won't circulate like it's naturally supposed to? This is exactly what the banks told Congress would happen if they were subjected to oversights and transparency. The whole financial system will collapse! It'll all end! It is control by fear mongering and scarcity . Once again, standard operating procedure. If you are indeed a small business owner, in which you seemingly implied. Then you fallen for the exact ruse planted by the top 1% (A cliche term, but effective all the same). Have the lower classes fight over whatever issues are lightening rods. Be it racism, taxation, gay rights, immigration, gun rights, ect, ect. All the while the rich continue to hoard the wealth and resources of the planet. True capitalism at it's finest.

Including some in my own family.

It's so frustrating the system is rigged.

When I was young I could afford to vote on the candidate I liked.

This Election seems more important than any I can remember.
