I forgot to add -

Syrian military forces have engaged Turkish / violated Turkish sovereignty (not the jet shootdown).
Syrian military forces have engaged Lebanese forces inside Lebanon while pursuing "rebels"
Recently Syrian forces engaged Jordanian military units in Jordan, again violating their sovereignty while pursuiing " rebels".

And....

What the hell does any of that have to do with the price of eggs in China or the Syrian Air force killing their own people? Let me guess.... Because there are foreign forces in Syria covertly helping the rebels? Right? Yet, When Iranian or Syrian covert activities are mentioned it gets ignored and sidestepped

Pot meet Kettle......

SLAYER69, your argument has its own internal problem.

You must acknowledge that rules, tactics, strategy on conflicts, wars, today are different than were portrayed in past.

So now you consider covert operations as formal invasions?

All covert activities are now openly talked about in mainstream, unlike Libya last year.

This is actual state of war, but NEVER DECLARED FORMALLY.

Either accept that and retract your previous stances or in future don't ever again try to post from feigned innocence.

I am going to agree with your parallel, and yes you got the gist, but there is nothing covert about the British,French,German,Turk soldiers who have been captured in Syria..and their govt openly supporting them and Al-qaeda..Al-qaeda the people that brought you 911,and your loss of freedoms and rights.
Why is this so difficult to understand? that if this is an internal dispute in Syria.let them sort it out...
Syria was targeted..
was NATO surrounding Yemen after it fired on it's protesters?
What about China and its brutal human rights abuses?Darfur?Turkey? nothing?Saudi Arabia?..How about here in America where the constitution is walked all over?
What about the horrendous states left in 'liberated' Iraq?Libya?Afghanistan?is that we desire?

That's your opinion.

You must acknowledge that rules, tactics, strategy on conflicts, wars, today are different than were portrayed in past.

AND some refuse to acknowledge certain covert activities by certain countries.

So now you consider covert operations as formal invasions?

No.

Do you?
Simply put, one cannot run around with their head in the sand and pretend those activities don't matter. They are acts of War whether one chooses to accept that fact or not.

All covert activities are now openly talked about in mainstream, unlike Libya last year.

ATS search function there must be a thousand threads on the topic. It was plastered everywhere. Simply because you may not be aware of it or refuse to acknowledge it but doesn't mean it didn't happen

This is actual state of war, but NEVER DECLARED FORMALLY.

This wouldn't be the first time in human history.

No?

Either accept that and retract your previous stances or in future don't ever again try to post from feigned innocence.

Stop pretending you think you have something there.
Your logic is circular at best.

Modern warfare is the same as it every was the only new element to that equation is the instant media where something that happens can be "reported" in a matter of seconds,

AGAIN.

What does this have to do with Syrian Forces bombing their civilians?

You do the following -

'impose' implicitly a preset of rules, tactics, strategy that isn't applicable to Syria debate, while taking advantage and abusing another preset of rules, tactics, strategy that is blatant, real rules, but never concede that while gaining massive gang-given stars with no punishment.

You don't seem to get it, Libya was a 'short' topple less than 12 months to murder goal, while Syria is over a year old and continuing.

Libya and Syria 'rebellion' ran concurrently, but the majority of media focused on Libya, to point where it became suspicious.

Syria had apparent legitimacy and was true/voluntary.

Now it's a mess.

Certain bad information to US, UK, France and NATO weren't admitted in mainstream until the last months.

The majority of your claimed thousand, plastered everywhere threads were not from mainstream in beginning, and you played innocent, dismissive.

Syria is now in the 2nd year period they have no shame, guilt, or consider bad information irrelevant to their goal.

They simply insult the public.

French troops in Syria?

C'est incroyable who'da thunk it considering how the french "hate war".

British troops in Syria?

To my knowledge was under the belief that the SAs operates with teams more than 2.

German troops?

Really?

German troops?

Of course any western media sources on that?

Probably not but makes for good dogma.

The point being made is if Assad is to be removed from power it should come from the will of his own people, not by a bunch of foreign funded mercenaries, locally bought militias,or soldiers faced with defection or death that have with all probablility caused and escalated this conflict, with increased intensity,no doubt adding to the deaths among civilians
in short if NATO didn't get involved this bombing would not have occurred.
unless Syria was selling heavy weapons at the corner store..

Do all threads on anything in Syria (or Iran) always turn to hate? We won't ever know the full truth from either side about what is happening with the Syrian situation. It's fine for both sides to have an opinion on this but, seriously, tone down the rhetoric! Most times when there is a left and right, the truth will be found somewhere in the middle.

Absolutely.

Five decades of Ba’ath Party rule, the people are doing what they want to do. It started with protests.

The religious and ethnic cleavages in Syria are not demarcated in purely geographic terms and the balkanization process could play out as a lebonization process, which means that Syria will be divided along violent sectarian fault lines and face political deadlock like Lebanon during its civil war without formally breaking up. Lebonization, a soft form of balkanization, has already taken place in Iraq under federalism.

What this process intends to do is create sectarian hatred, ethnic divisions, racism, and religious wars. All the countries that the US and its allies are destabilizing have natural dividing lines, and when tribal, ethnic, confessional, and religious animosity is ignited in one country, it will spill over into other countries. The problems in Libya have spilled into Niger and Chad and the problems in Syria are spilling over into Turkey and Lebanon.

The point I'm making is that everybody and their brother knows that the US/West are in the mix. But what some here refuse to acknowledge is that Iran and Syria have been doing the same thing in many countries around the region for decades.

It's a double standard that many here attempt to [Poorly I might add] keep perpetuating.
